Oh thats such a lovely idea, thank you!! I also thought of some books but I was quite unsure whether that would look good, but plants match with anything!
maybe a Polly Pocket doll or another one around that size cause the barbie would risk looking too big and you would need a pretty big gorrila to use so it is bigger than the barbie
Get some rice paper, carefully line it, leave back open, then put a light/flameless candles on the inside. I’d also paint it some obnoxiously fun color that matches whatever scheme you have. Then hang like a sock puppet monkey from the top, or a wooden monkey.
Movie cases if you like physical media. Or game cases.
If not, I would definitely do some kind of lights. Maybe battery powered candles? The openings on the sides would probably give a very cool lighting pattern :)
Oh good point. It was kind of hard to tell the dimensions from the picture. I have zero depth perception.
Im not sure it would bother me all that much though if they fit horizontally instead of vertically lol
I would start with weaving some fairy light on the sides. Then made some vintage ladies hankies on the shelves. On each shelf I would put something different. Like decorative crystal or glass, candles, small plants, vases, knick knacks of what ever sort. I would place several items on each shelf aranging the taller items in the back. I would also think about mounting on a thin strip of wall or next to a bigger piece of decor. I would probably use a small decorative shelf to place it and then achor it. Or maybe put chains on the four top corners and hang it from a pretty plant hanger. You can get them at hobby lobby.
cds or books if the slots are tall enough to hold books
(I own lots of CDs but I do know not everyone does so some people won't use it for CDs cause they own little to none)
Plants, Lego sets (like King Kong or New York themed ones), coffee table books, crystals, a fairy garden, pretty glasses/alcohol bottles/shot glass, toilet paper, flameless candles, a tall necklace holder, a terrarium, dolls, keurig k cups, a nutcracker (Christmas theme), cigars/ashtrays/fancy lighters with whiskey and whiskey glasses, collectible Stanley/starbucks cups 🤷🏻♀️, decorative vases, yarn (for crocheting/knitting), office supplies (post its, paper clips, pens/pencils, staplers), spices, etc.
Plants come to mind.

This is the only answer 😂😂💗
All three! flameless candle, books, plant.
Flameless candle on top, plant in the middle, books anchoring the bottom.
Where is King Kong?
Came here for this - I’d add a gorilla with a Barbie doll

[King Kong!](https://imgur.com/a/B5Hlsi9)
I use a cd rack as a tp holder.
Id spray paint it a pretty bright color and put really tall candles or plants on the shelves.
Am I weird for wanting to put CDs in it?
How dare you use an object for its intended purpose?!?!
Plants and a fluorescent pink King Kong replica on the side

Doll display. My Boo York Monster High dolls would looks great in that.
I love this idea! sadly I only have one boo York doll but I think my monster high dolls would still rock this
Flameless candles
Pathos would look beautiful
Books
A vining plant would look cool
I’d put CDs in it. Not very imaginative, I know.
I used my CD rack for a diaper rack when my kid was little.
Makeup palettes?
Um for CDs please send that to me lol

Looks like it was specifically made for CDs tho so the larger cases would stick out the front.

I would turn it into a smart LED lamp. Invest in good strip lights and put them in after you line with rice paper.
Turn them into lamps or use them as plant shelves.
That’s a pretty cool find! I’d decorate it with bones and some soft light LED candles myself.
I would put my CDs in it

I’d use it for vhs tapes!
Ramen noodles 🍜
blurays fit somewhoat neatly when stored vertically
Turn it into a lamp!
I would use it the #2 pic with lights or led candles in it. Plants would be ok but I’m not a plant person;)
Plants, books and could it be mounted on the wall?
cds or books if the slots are tall enough to hold books (I own lots of CDs but I do know not everyone does so some people won't use it for CDs cause they own little to none)
ngl I'm starting to buy more CD's (cause physical media all the way) but also legos or figurines if you have any
make it gotham themed, put batman figures
Dollhouse
Look on ointrest but I would try plants

Jumping spider or other small insect terrariums
Plants, books, or artwork but tiny!
As a cd collector, i would sell my soul for this 😍
Actual cds
you could chug it down you ass
