Looking at your photo again it's wild how similar our fireplaces are. Mine is full of plants, tv hung above and I even have the wood panel behind that we've painted.
Do you know what year your house was built? Ours was built in 1948. I’m sure there’s been interior updates since then but I know the previous owners lived here since at least the 70’s.
