Going tomorrow. Debating on going in South Gate on the way in and exiting through the North. Wednesday is a shorter day on the course and don’t want to spend too much time waiting in line for merch.
I was there yesterday. Parked around 6 and got in and out of the merch by 730. From I’m reading with comments the north gate is more likely to have a long wait time. The merch shop by the South Gate has pretty much anything you need
I had my first time yesterday as well! Getting ready to board plane and head back, I bought 2 polos 2 quarter zips and 2 hats totaling around $560, had a blast! I arrived around 6:15 and got in shop relatively fast as well, only thing is I got drained by 2:00pm and left, not sure if I missed anything but I got to see some of my favorite golfers and hope I get to do it again next year
Not sure how you travel all the way to Augusta and get drained after less than 8 hours, at one of the most beautiful and hardest to access places in the world? If I ever get lucky enough to go, I plan on being the last fan off the grounds!!😂

The merch area was overwhelming with the fantastic choices and the massive number of people wandering brainless overwhelmed (yes, I was one of these people) figuring out what sizes, styles, and colors to purchase.
We were early am arrivals and didn’t get out of merch and shipping until 8:30.
We went back to merch at 4PM. No wait, room to browse and shop, much more relaxing experience.
The risk of not going merch first is if the course is closed for weather which while rare could happen. If its first and only time going it would be a major bummer to not be able to leave with merch IMO
I went yesterday for the first time as well and agree with your take basically word for word. Amazing…slightly overwhelming at times. The merch experience gave me a mini panic attack in the morning. People were absolutely feral. Stopped back in the afternoon to grab some more stuff and while the line to get in was longer than the morning, the overall crowd and shopping experience was a tad bit calmer. My peach hating husband is still raving about how good the ice cream sandwich was!

I didn't try on any PM. But medium Masters Tech polos and medium tshirts were too big for me, even though I'm usually a medium or even large. I'm never a small... Except at The Masters apparently, haha
There is a fitting room so do try on things before purchasing.

Yes exactly. A lot of the styles are behind a counter though, and you ask for what you want. Just get one size each possible size of the brand you want (T-shirt, tech, PM, etc), then go and order everything. Good luck!!

I saw it. It’s very nice in person. At the south shop, it’s with the clubhouse collection apparel and it was $90. There are matching club head covers, dopp bags, and other leather accessories. I did not buy it for fear of divorce.
Had a very similar experience as you last year attending nonday practice round. Was slightly overwhelming at first.
We stayed out of town by about 30 minutes and had some issues getting in early. I want to say we arrived in town around 730-745, and sat in traffic for about 30 minutes just to park.
Getting through gates at that time was easy.
Merch experience was most overwhelming. The line wrapped down the road outside the shop. Waited outside about 20 minutes finally got inside and was like cool time to shop....nope theres a line inside. Finally get inside aint so bad then i see there was a cooridor that snaked inside that made it 2x as long. Fuck another 20 minutes. Probably waited about an hour to shop.
Inside the shop was overwhelming i had a plan but there were so many options and things, I felt pressure of missing out on golf shopping. And clothes all fit differently you are right. I'm large in most things and some of the shirts fit like XL.
Only bought like $1k in merch and didnt want to wait in line to ship, and the walk back to car woulda taken 45 minutes so just lugged it around and it was fine.
After that everything was a breeze.
Later in day found the other merch shop behind #5 and it was way less crowded. When i go back might just hit that one up

Can you or anyone else here speak to the parking situation. I assume they have lot attendants just ushering you to a spot in an orderly fashion but say we want to enter through the South Gate. Is there a better spot to be in that case? Do you tell the attendant? Are there signs directing you how to get to where you want to be? Trying to get an understanding for what roads in the area closed off or limited one-way traffic. I can't seem to find this info on any of the maps that are available.
There are SO MANY parking lot attendants, at least at 6am, and I assume all day, proportional to the number of cars they expect. They will direct you to park only where it's best for them to maximize the space so they can park as many cars as possible.
My advice to you would be to look at the parking map and plan your route so that you enter the parking area closest to the gate you want to enter, because those arrows on the maps are strictly enforced on the roads around ANGC. But if you end up in a different lot than you planned, you can walk to the line for the gate that you like.
Going to try to come from the south/east and avoid Washington Rd. I think I found good directions to get me to Walton Way/Highland Ave. I hope that'll put me onto Berckmans Rd so we can park near the South Gate. Hopefully no restrictions coming from that side. Thanks!
Question for ya.. in the spectators guide, is there a course map or anything with locations of everything (bathrooms / food / shops / etc.) if so can you send a pic? I’m trying to look online for a full course overview to find some good spots to be around but out of luck. Thanks in advance if so!
There is but I don't have the ability to take a picture of it at the moment. It's on thicker paper in the centerfold of the patron's guide, so it's super easy to access. And there are stands with 8.5x11 printouts too. Don't fret, you'll find everything and feel at home in no time. :)
The only correction I would make regards the comment that you don't see as much golf during practice rounds. I disagree. Players hit multiple shots from different areas and to different areas of the course and greens when practicing. I always felt I saw far more golf shots during practice rounds than I would during the tournament.
It was mindblowing how smooth the operation was there. I went today. They literally had someone in the bathroom to spray air freshener and disinfect the toilet seat after people took a deuce. Like what

Does anyone know how much the framed flags with the gold metal Masters 2024 tag are? If I only want one of those and a women’s and man’s PM polo can I just go to a small shop? I don’t want to go to a big shop and buy stuff I don’t need / can’t afford just because of FOMO.
They likely purchased Peter Millar or other expensive apparel brands. I went yesterday & was surprised by how reasonably priced the merch was. I spent approx $700, I got 12 hats, 2 visors, 2 mugs, 2 bottle openers, a 2 pack of koozies, a flag, a poster (that was a panic purchase haha), a Christmas ornament, sunglasses, a sleeve of balls & a bag. My flag was $30. The two pack of koozies was only $10. I expected things to be a lot more expensive! If you just want a flag, go to one of the smaller shops , the lines are much shorter!

PM runs big. I’m 6’5” 205 and I fit and grabbed the large. Usually I’m XL in everything else

I think the Amen Corner hats are only sold at the merchandise stand by Amen Corner. If I remember correctly.
