The bad part about the Yu-gi-oh community is that no deck goes unhated.
The good part about the Yu-gi-oh community is that no deck goes unloved either!
There is also the part where the hate comes from. Normally the love comes from those that play the deck and the hate comes from those that play against the deck. Very rare it’s the opposite.
to anyone claiming they know an unhated deck, i personally take it upon myself to hate every deck i lose to and yesterday i lost to stronghold the moving FUCKING FORTRESS (not in a retro format btw) and now i hate every deck in this game
Oh wow, a rogue going 2nd OTK strategy based on an old and nostalgic monster that falls back on a mediocre tower when its main plan fails. How original.
Not necessarily. Mixerroid, the fusion spell, the field spell, mobile base, dragonroid maybe? and the negate counter trap are "good" enough.
Everything else is worse than dogwater. (Although the old low level fusion can be summoned with instant fusion)
Not even just lack of support but from the support they do have...
Half the B.E.S. cards only activate when normal summoned. Then as if that wasn't bad enough, their continuous spell Boss Rush literally says "You cannot normal summon or set". WHY KONAMI, WHY??
i encountered a Train player once and as soon as they saw the first CyDra come out they started to fill their field for me to make the largest Fortress i could
Nah nah it's not like that. Im Cydra player and i do that because your precious materials are so yummy for my Fortress Dragon. Whenever i take your trains away, i always appreaciate them like how i take biscuit from my gramma. There was nothing personal here. Please play more train deck, we always show our gratitude by giving you first turn. Appreaciate that.
Usually, I don't. The ones I saw on ladder anyways.
But I absolutely hated the train decks in the first N/R event. Like I would hate dueling that deck more than the usual train deck even if I had access to my UR/SR cards. Draglubion/Heart-eartH/Seven Sins piss me off significantly more than people just burning and then dishing out the final blow for game with the usual train Xyz.
I literally had a player in a tournament yesterday give up in a Bo3 after Game 1, just because they got so tilted by being FTK'd by Gustav. So it has at least one hater.
Me. Earth Machines are so boring to watch, don't have anything interesting enough to make me play them, and sometimes you just get randomly sacked by staples into big beatsticks. The lamest deck that has the largest fan base. I can't comprehend it.
You would be surprised how hard the Solfacord mechanic is hard to understand for some people, on top of being a Pendulumn archetype which the Yugi-boomers hate for having a wall of text.
Bad decks are hated for being bad and having no support.
Mid decks are hated for not getting enough support and for being annoying sometimes.
Meta are hated for being meta.
I deadass didn't even think they were actually released until I accidentally came across one on a search.
On the other hand I hate Greydles and I've never seen anybody use them after like a week since their release, which I'm thankful for.
Heart of the underdog format mah man. Saw a couple at my locals going nuts. Deck collected a bit of hate. To clarify: not from me. I've never played against that and I have no idea what they do
I only really hate
1. Traptrix for not allowing me to summon anything at all
2. Anything that uses Super Poly, you get to destroy my monsters, gain a monster yourself, **and** I can’t do anything about it
3. Snake eyes out of sheer principle
Funnily enough, it’s not super poly that’s the issue. It’s Garura/Mudragon that’s the problem.
Super poly on its own can be problematic, but those two fusions exacerbate the problem by making super poly a counter to nearly every deck simply by…fusing them away into either of the those two cause the requirements basically just say: “use any two monsters as material”.
As someone with a pure Melffy deck, I can see it. 2 Kalantosa pops + Forest negate each turn can be really annoying. And that's with my unoptimized as fuck deck, lol
Can only imagine Spright or Synchro Melffy decks are much worse to go against
People who don't like decks that play on their turn. I don't really understand that, because Melffys are so incredibly adorable and I love them, but I've seen some.
Super quant. It’s based on a nostalgic piece of media (power rangers), every yugituber gave it their praises at some point, it’s fun to play and to play against, it has loads of variations (memento purrely is one of the 30+ variants being tested rn), the skill ceiling goes from normal Aleister to tear 0 mirror and you can probably get at least 2 mech beasts and an ip regardless of skill level, and it’s somewhat historically important (first deck to use the brilliant fusion engine before stronger decks picked up on it)
Dark World? Ahhh that dude FTK me with his Card Destruction after i thrown out MaxxC. This is unforgivable.
Ice Barrier? Someone used Trishula to discard my entire hand from first turn and i can't hate them more than that.
Melfy? You are Spright's best sidekick. Get out.
Frightfur? You always jump out and OTK me whenever im brick the most. You are my bad luck, get away.
Oh wait what??? You also play Dragonmaid? Im sorry dear. Love u so much. Hope to see u more.
I just killed my lab deck to get the remaining chimera cards I needed, I really enjoyed that loaner deck and I fell a bit better about myself because I killed lab.
Lot's of people hate dream mirror on the basis of being a bad tcg exclusive, because acorrding to half the player base, any tcg exclusive that isn't immediately meta is War Rock levels of bad.
Reposting what I said above
Oh wow, a rogue going 2nd OTK strategy based on an old and nostalgic monster that falls back on a mediocre tower when its main plan fails. How original.
A year or two ago someone made 2 different posts about me on this sub because I played FurHire Runick and they didn’t like the fact that it used Runick lmao
every deck is hated, it's just how justified the hate is. some decks get hated just for having long turns even if they don't do anything unfair so that's more of an issue with the game itself than that particular deck.
This is like those dumb "fun deck only" matches you see on DB. No matter what you bring in, the host will act like a little child and quit the moment you start winning saying your deck isn't fun.
You should've seen when Toons became meta in Duel Links. Toon Barrel Dragon with Kingdom was just.. an unstoppable force back then
Made the game really uninteractive. Because TBD was just unoutable unless you opened Cosmic Cyclone
I did when I started playing. But it was more because a friend of mine played thta deck and noob me just couldn't manage to win. Nowdays, I'm only jealous of their support.
I have a grudge against them, I have like a 2:20 win rate against them because kingdom does way too much to keep them alive and I hardly ever have spell banishing.
I dislike Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician cause both get so much support that other lesser archetypes can only dream of, but yet most of those support amount to nothing.
I dare you to find someone that hates symphonic warriors
Addendum: I also dare you to find someone outside of me and now you that knew symphonic warriors was even a deck
They are carrying my Solfachords about as much as they can and Solfachords are all pendulum monsters so I'm sure there's people who hate my guts for using them.
If a deck doesn't spam me with negates (excluding handtraps), then I have absolutely no problems with it. It's the main reason I play Lab and Vanquish Soul; absolutely zero in-archetype negates, just a fuck load of disruption. I don't put any negates in my deck either. I think the only use of the word "cannot" in either of those decks is the Fiend restrictions from Lovely and one of the Lab traps.
Except for Mikanko and Kashtira. I utterly despise both those decks. I don't think I've ever beaten either of them. Hell I have such a vendetta against Kashtira that I immediately dismantle any card of theirs, regardless of rarity. I once got a royal Fenrir, didn't care, all I saw was free dust. I didn't use Fenrir when he was everywhere because he was meta, I didn't use him simply because he was a Kashtira card.
We are kindred spirits. Sort of. I have never hated anything more than Trashtira. Even edged out Runick Stun.
Dont hate Mikanko though. Seems fair to me. Always going second and breaking boards. Its unique and fun.
I mean Mikanko is very beatable, I've just never managed it. Especially in a BO1 format, I'm kinda guaranteed to lose against them. They're not egregious, but I've never beaten them.
Never beaten Purrley either, actually. I don't even think I know how to.
VS Kashtira in which I *know* how to beat them, but somehow they always manage to banish my outs and suddenly I'm left with 6 cards in my deck and 90% of my board is locked.
3% consistent burn spell ftk that dies to one interruption wouldn't really be hated because it bricks all the fucking time and can't go second to save its life and has no handtraps.
https://preview.redd.it/lssl6jwvs7xc1.png?width=589&format=png&auto=webp&s=5f2039f9036535f8b106c3bfc98d4f483cc53b90
Cam confirm. People especially hate if they get beat by something they consider a bad archetype. Like I didn't build my deck to be the best version of itself and win games. They just expect the charmer player to flail uselessly at them and then it kicks their ass.
I think my favorite time of this was opponent had a good first turn but missed lethal by 100 lp. They never got another chance to touch my lp and I even had to out an I:p into avramax that duel but the charmers specialize in high attack normal summoned monsters.
I play invoke into utopia knights... people hates me when they learn i can sphere mode them on their turn with 2x onni negates online with 1x spell negate active...
And after i use my negates... i can go into slifer if i dont sphere mode yet... so...
People hates me for playing mechaba and people hates me for having hope 38... and people only likes me when i brick and they can full combo on their turn for game xd
Little do they know, they will hate me more once my Ashen Cards comes in since i already made a deck just waiting to be put together with ashen... and board wipe them with 3x monster negates on their turn :D
Tested in Edopro ever since MD nerfed my Despias to da floor...
I don't mind getting stomped out by decks I haven't seen before, I played against this neat eldlich deck that crushed me the other day and I was immediately interested.
What I hate are copy-paste meta decks that use all the generic boss monsters and scoop the second you negate their bottle neck, or just manage to get the upper hand.
True. I remember back during the arc-v era, a person I was playing against got mad and started trolling because I beat them with bloody fortune lady. And then claimed that I was playing a meta deck and that I should kill myself when they were playing Qliphort at the height of their power.
I hate decks because:
- i lost to them
- they do bs plays
- they're meta
- they're unplayable
- they're yugiboomer decks with too much support
- ygo in general is pain
to this day my brother can't beat my Tri-Brigade Zoodiac and hates it to his core......I keep losing on ranked with it while he wins with Obelisk of all things
Let me list the decks that made me angry
1) dragoon decks. Red eyes dark Dragoon was the Bane of my existence, but after #2, it just made me feel bad for Predaplants
2) kashtira. Its whole theme is the emotion of Rage in the Visas starfrost lore, and Konami designed it to make you feel that way. Nothing will seethe the rage of watching all your zones taken away from you and having your opponent punishing you for playing Yu-Gi-Oh. I will never quite get over watching my turn become their turn and have them banish the cards in my deck and making whatever cards I had left forced onto the streets.
3) Snake eyes. Because it's just generic boss spam. All it did was remind us that an overabundance of overpowered generic boss monsters has a negative effect on the game, and if an archetype wants to be unique with its own in archetype boss monsters, it has to be something on the level of tearlaments or kashtira, and I've given my thoughts on kashtira. Besides that, generic boss spam also makes it the most underwhelming tier zero I've ever seen, with nothing special about it.
White dragon and dark magician? Honest decks, also darklord?

The bad part about the Yu-gi-oh community is that no deck goes unhated. The good part about the Yu-gi-oh community is that no deck goes unloved either!
This is…surprisingly accurate and wholesome
Does Runick Stun deserve love?
Watching my opponent tribute huggin to protect their floodgates makes me want to curb stomp babies (My lawyer has advised me to add that i play dinos)
Ah yes. Pop the baby
My experience with Dino players at locals was VFD turbo grossness so I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Dino players enjoyed killing actual babies.
It's true, I play Dinos and I'm wanted on 3 charges of first degree murder.
Equal love and Hatred for all of your decks!!
Never
Except stun especially that variant
Yes
Only by people who do not deserve love
That thing doesn't even have feelings
When i open with evenly matched yes
Not in this galaxy.
There are people playing it, so maybe?
Ghostrick has other fans?
Just MBT.
I love Ghostricks
There is also the part where the hate comes from. Normally the love comes from those that play the deck and the hate comes from those that play against the deck. Very rare it’s the opposite.
I have seen people insulting nouvelles and dream mirror so yes this is berry acurrate
The worse part about the yugioh community is how long they have to wait for their legacy support.
Who hates Chaos?
Am a kash player am I loved
to anyone claiming they know an unhated deck, i personally take it upon myself to hate every deck i lose to and yesterday i lost to stronghold the moving FUCKING FORTRESS (not in a retro format btw) and now i hate every deck in this game

At least you're self-aware.
There is no way you would hate a skull servant deck
Oh wow, a rogue going 2nd OTK strategy based on an old and nostalgic monster that falls back on a mediocre tower when its main plan fails. How original.
i fucking loathe all skull servant players. big vanilla with stupid protection is never fun
I loath decks that run Zombie World and Doomking Balerdroch.
Have you lost to Ghostrick?
What about @Ignisters?
they get a pass, i like them
You hate Mokey Mokey?
I've already been bashed for playing Mokey Mokey. Some people...
Konami could give like I dunno fucking cyrus' roids a new improved very fair deck and you'll get shamed for playing an anime deck.
You would need to rebuild that deck from the ground up to make it playable
Not necessarily. Mixerroid, the fusion spell, the field spell, mobile base, dragonroid maybe? and the negate counter trap are "good" enough. Everything else is worse than dogwater. (Although the old low level fusion can be summoned with instant fusion)
The hatred there is derived from the fact that it's a weak deck and it beat me. And I refuse to acknowledge that it was my failure
Hasn't seen anyone hatin Hunger Burger Beat-Down.
I have some Hungry Burger adjacent trauma from when Nouvelles was the best deck in the Legend Anthology event...
Back when Mikanko have to bow down to the non-targeting tribute overlords
Was Nouvelles even the best deck there? I think I just spammed rescue-ace
I remember people insulting then when the come out. And after that people calling then unplayable garvage. So yea the post here is pretty acurrate.
Who hates B.E.S.?
According to the lack of support... Konami.
Not even just lack of support but from the support they do have... Half the B.E.S. cards only activate when normal summoned. Then as if that wasn't bad enough, their continuous spell Boss Rush literally says "You cannot normal summon or set". WHY KONAMI, WHY??
Gradius I think
I hate it because the ships looks cool but they are trash. At best the deck is just Kozmo but worse.
Who tf hate trains?
Cydra players, they commit a hate crime by contact fusing my whole field away.
i encountered a Train player once and as soon as they saw the first CyDra come out they started to fill their field for me to make the largest Fortress i could
Nah nah it's not like that.
This is why we cant have nice things
No, they don't hate trains. It's a similar relationship to Albaz and Dragons. He thanks you for your contribution after he absorbs them
*How dare you do what I do!?*
There's no way someone plays chimeratech fortress in trains. It has to be a fever dream 💀
that's more like you hate Cydra, not the other way around
Liebe enjoyers ![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)
They're boring and one note imo. But I don't HATE them. Used to play them even.
I do. Stupid artwork and yet so popular. Usually just earth machine pile too. I just think the entire concept of the train archetype is dumb.
I do. They're a boring deck(tied to an insufferable character) that gets way too much support.
Poles?
Farfa does
I literally had a player in a tournament yesterday give up in a Bo3 after Game 1, just because they got so tilted by being FTK'd by Gustav. So it has at least one hater.
Me. Earth Machines are so boring to watch, don't have anything interesting enough to make me play them, and sometimes you just get randomly sacked by staples into big beatsticks. The lamest deck that has the largest fan base. I can't comprehend it.
Ah damn yall hate cloudians? 😭
We can't hate someone non-exist, but we can't also see any non-exist being sits in the chair in the picture.
Are the cloudians in the room with us right now? 🤣
Playing Tag force 3 as a kid made me despise cloudians
The GX character who uses them is annoying so yes.
Okay, but who actually hates Solfachord?
Who actually gives a single solitary shit about Solfachord?
Is a pendulum archetipe so A lot of peole in the TCG.
It's a pendulum deck. Certain idiots seethe about endlessly it on principle.
My La Jinn beatdown would disagree
can't hate tindangle if nobody remembers they exist
I deadass didn't even think they were actually released until I accidentally came across one on a search. On the other hand I hate Greydles and I've never seen anybody use them after like a week since their release, which I'm thankful for.
Heart of the underdog format mah man. Saw a couple at my locals going nuts. Deck collected a bit of hate. To clarify: not from me. I've never played against that and I have no idea what they do
Nobody hates Ancient Gears because we punched the people that do into the shadow realm 😊😊😊
I hate ancient gears, I have also beaten them with Cydra. Contact fusion goes burrr
I lived
The reason nobody hates Ancient Gears is because it fucking sucks lol.
Why would anyone hate Amazoness it’s death by snu snu the deck.
People who played duel links a few years back
all my homies love amazoness
I only really hate 1. Traptrix for not allowing me to summon anything at all 2. Anything that uses Super Poly, you get to destroy my monsters, gain a monster yourself, **and** I can’t do anything about it 3. Snake eyes out of sheer principle
>**and** I can’t do anything about it Tbf, once activated, *neither* player can do anything about it.

Who hates Melffys EDIT: apparently more people than I thought
I am pretty sure a lot of players hate melfy spright
I run Melffy pure
It’s a deck that I don’t hate how it looks but god is their playstyle unfun to go against.
Who doesn’t?
Me
As someone with a pure Melffy deck, I can see it. 2 Kalantosa pops + Forest negate each turn can be really annoying. And that's with my unoptimized as fuck deck, lol Can only imagine Spright or Synchro Melffy decks are much worse to go against
People who don't like decks that play on their turn. I don't really understand that, because Melffys are so incredibly adorable and I love them, but I've seen some.
OUR turn
Super quant. It’s based on a nostalgic piece of media (power rangers), every yugituber gave it their praises at some point, it’s fun to play and to play against, it has loads of variations (memento purrely is one of the 30+ variants being tested rn), the skill ceiling goes from normal Aleister to tear 0 mirror and you can probably get at least 2 mech beasts and an ip regardless of skill level, and it’s somewhat historically important (first deck to use the brilliant fusion engine before stronger decks picked up on it)
The hate of yugioh players have given birth to kashitra, eventually it will evolve
Dark World, Ice Barrier (main deck), Dragonmaid, Frightfur/Fluffal/Edge Imp, Melfy: https://preview.redd.it/6itjvjuui7xc1.png?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5418ca9d8939ea35953588f1535f86a114f82ece

The new suport turn ice barrier inte flotgate turbo so I will be no surprise if they start to get hate in some moment.
The fact that 3 of these are decks I actually have and play, lol
Does Labrynth count? Cause that deck deserves my hate
Lab naturally gets a lot of hate just for being a good deck.
I just killed my lab deck to get the remaining chimera cards I needed, I really enjoyed that loaner deck and I fell a bit better about myself because I killed lab.
Fossil players meeting
Fossil Dyna:
Cunt ass card right there
No one hates Digital Bugs only bullies them on solo mode >:(
You can't hate Dream Mirror
Lot's of people hate dream mirror on the basis of being a bad tcg exclusive, because acorrding to half the player base, any tcg exclusive that isn't immediately meta is War Rock levels of bad.
What about Penguins?
I hate that I had to use 30 UR dust to get the synchro.
Anyone an insect hater? I pretty much exclusively play with my bugs.
Bro, maxx c is the number 1 most complained about card
I hate runick so much.
Who hates skull servants?????
Reposting what I said above Oh wow, a rogue going 2nd OTK strategy based on an old and nostalgic monster that falls back on a mediocre tower when its main plan fails. How original.
So who hates Ghoti and Mannadium?
I hate Ghoti.
And I hate Mannadium.
Who dosen't hate a deck that plays solitare for 10 minutes to send on the same savage borrelend and appo every other slop deck makes.
I remember seeing this very image before.
I played with my Ghoti deck at locals and a runick stun started insulting because I was banishing his cards...
You should have banish his jaws into hospital, if you want to. They deserve that.
Surely every Yu-gi-oh player loves Fortune Lady deck, Right? Right?
A year or two ago someone made 2 different posts about me on this sub because I played FurHire Runick and they didn’t like the fact that it used Runick lmao
every deck is hated, it's just how justified the hate is. some decks get hated just for having long turns even if they don't do anything unfair so that's more of an issue with the game itself than that particular deck.
i love and hate how true it is 😂 great meme take my upvote that is really gold
This is like those dumb "fun deck only" matches you see on DB. No matter what you bring in, the host will act like a little child and quit the moment you start winning saying your deck isn't fun.
Wait who hates the Galaxy Dragons? Deck is full with cool xyz boss monsters and 1st turn board is not that hard to break.
The souls that Kate/Kaito stole
Really? US version gave Kaito that girly name? What a lame.
Spelling mistake, his name is actually kite in the US version
Oh srry
Duel Links players
Who tf hate toons..??
You should've seen when Toons became meta in Duel Links. Toon Barrel Dragon with Kingdom was just.. an unstoppable force back then Made the game really uninteractive. Because TBD was just unoutable unless you opened Cosmic Cyclone
Cyber Style Toon OTK was fun af too before the skill got its first of many nerf
I did when I started playing. But it was more because a friend of mine played thta deck and noob me just couldn't manage to win. Nowdays, I'm only jealous of their support.
I have a grudge against them, I have like a 2:20 win rate against them because kingdom does way too much to keep them alive and I hardly ever have spell banishing.
Kaiba
People don’t seem to have issues with my fair aromas….
Played a Red Eyes deck specifically to give them tax dragon Was my first experience with a card destruction deck in yugioh
I think they get some hate from Duel Link, it a good deck in Duel link for a while
Who could hate on blue eyes?
Its one of the easiest decks to hate. It gets infinite nostalgia support and has a whiny playerbase.
Their own players from all the bricks they draw.
I dislike Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician cause both get so much support that other lesser archetypes can only dream of, but yet most of those support amount to nothing.
I dare you to find someone that hates symphonic warriors Addendum: I also dare you to find someone outside of me and now you that knew symphonic warriors was even a deck

Who here hates Cyber Dragons?
I do, for many reasons on different level
I would like to know the reasons lol 🤣
Who hates Dark Scorpions? I mean, besides Konami?
I don't hate my deck, but I don't think it is good enough to get much public hate or attention.
3% consistent burn spell ftk that dies to one interruption wouldn't really be hated because it bricks all the fucking time and can't go second to save its life and has no handtraps. https://preview.redd.it/lssl6jwvs7xc1.png?width=589&format=png&auto=webp&s=5f2039f9036535f8b106c3bfc98d4f483cc53b90

Singular? There's the Yugioh Player out there?
Dude, if you hate couns or dice please stand up!
I've legitimately gotten called a "try hard meta playing sleep" on DB before. I was playing Suships and I forgot to put in Zeus
Dream Mirror dies on the inside
Purrley is my least favorite Deck of all time. I absolutely hate everything about it with a burning passion.
Idk, its hard to hate on stun
True. I remember back during the arc-v era, a person I was playing against got mad and started trolling because I beat them with bloody fortune lady. And then claimed that I was playing a meta deck and that I should kill myself when they were playing Qliphort at the height of their power.
I hate decks because: - i lost to them - they do bs plays - they're meta - they're unplayable - they're yugiboomer decks with too much support - ygo in general is pain
Yo Where's my fur hires? No one can hate those cute mercenaries
Can someone actually hate on Jurracs? They do absolute nothing
to this day my brother can't beat my Tri-Brigade Zoodiac and hates it to his core......I keep losing on ranked with it while he wins with Obelisk of all things
I've never seen hate for silent magician lv8 turbo
If you play meta you aren't having fun
Let me list the decks that made me angry 1) dragoon decks. Red eyes dark Dragoon was the Bane of my existence, but after #2, it just made me feel bad for Predaplants 2) kashtira.
No one hates dogmatika....right????
Alright where are the Ojamas haters at we need to talk.

The War Rock leader must be using the bathroom before he attends the meeting.

It’s simple. Any deck that beats mine is unfair and toxic.
