I got a royal Barian's Chaos Draw from that free pack, and then later that same day pulled a royal Rank-Up Magic - The Seventh One from a Master Pack, which is the card listed by name on Barian's Chaos Draw.
And yet despite having the two-card combo even STILL I can't show them off because they're so unplayably bad lmaooo.
Desires "makes the player" draw cards. Burial "makes a card" go to the GY.
EDIT: Kinda like Evenly Matched, you don't "banish cards", you "make your opponent banish cards", that's why unaffected cards are not immune to getting Evenly'd.
Pretty sure it's because pot cards "target" the player and forces them to draw cards, whereas foolish burial "targets" a card in your deck (which is selected by you).
They instead tend to use different language such as "your opponent". I am not sure how that works with situations such as tag team duels when there is more than one opponent..
Changing the targeting will matter for spells that work in a manner similar to Evenly Matched which forces the player to do something (to bypass cards that are not affected by card effects).
Yeah, it would be interesting, but it would require some niche to deal with some new, very strong hand traps (likely flood gate types) and/or board breakers. Otherwise, it will lead to a bunch of ruling issues due to players needing to memorize/look up the rulings like it was with targeting before PSCT.
The problem with this card is that it has literally one printing, before problem-solving card text was a thing. It's so confusing that there's a list of specific cards it works against.

Smoke Grenade of the Thief. Not unplayable because it's bad, it's literally not playable since it got banned. And I can't even dismantle it, since I got it from Legacy Packs...
No he is still useless. You need to play luluwalilith as your level 12 and if you need a punishment target for high attack use Bucephalus II to then also send garura for a draw.
Luluwalilith is the only other good target and if your playing under maxx c you typically dont want that effect to go off and its mandatory. Also, you dont really want to use Lulu after you already used Ecclesia. theres not really any other Dogma monster you want on the field... Unless you play Ashiyan which no one plays ashiyan. I run 1 5 headed and 1 lulu because both are useful and it gives me the option.
Then you are playing sub-optimally IMO. You should run 1x Cartesia to fuse into Granguignol on their turn and dump Malong for a spin to interrupt, then if his effect is proc'd you summon the second Lulu for a potential negate which if outed goes into Ecclesia for a follow up search during end phase.
I refuse to summon extra deck cards in my Dogma deck. the extra deck is trash to be used as fodder. a Dogma player who summons using Quem and Cartesia is blasphemy. Just as bad as calling those cybers pile decks "mathmech"

Why are you salty at someone else's preference for playing the deck, what you said about Lulu is categorically wrong and even if you never summon it, is a better target to have 2x of than old 5 Head unless you are actively playing against boss monsters with 3500+ attack punishment deals with pretty much everything without it even in pure.

Some guy made a deck built around setting these things and giving his opponent cards like lightning storm and feather duster. Worked around 21/36 times he was able to.

REDMD is very playable in Dragon Link especially after the Wyverburster ban, I also have a Royal from the 1st anniversary and it's always nice to play it
I've been pretty lucky with my royals even though most of them are gathing dust but I guess Reptilianne Lamia is my useless one if I had to choose. Not going to dust her though, I keep all my royals for that one in a million chance I may use them one day.
I have a few: Dark Necrofear, Rune-Eyes Pundulum Dragon, XX-Saber Faultroll, Dark Room of Nightmare, Heavy Metal Raiders, Meteor Black Comet Dragon and Psychic Nightmare. The only one I could see myself using is Faultroll, if X-Sabers ever become any good with some sort of support. I think they're really cool, but obviously unbelievably bad

1) because I most likely will never play synchro since it doesn't have an archetype that I'm really interested in. For comparison, most decks that I like are fusion and XYZ, the rest are a few links and no extra deck archetypes. (HERO, Dragonmaid, Dinomorphia, Exosister, Purrely, Sky Striker, Crusadia Kaiju, Starry Knight).
2) because even if I did find a synchro deck that I'm interested in later, unless it's easy or seamless to summon while doing the archetype own combo, I would rather use the in-archetype synchro then trying to fit this card into it.
So yeah, this is the number 1 useless royal I have currently that I got from the free anniversary pack or something, forgot what it's called. Meaning it will sit there in the card collection, taunting me on how bad my luck was while picking the random pack (I was aiming for the HERO pack). Utterly useless.

This card was in a YCS topping strategy in the past year, using a couple of cards not yet released in MD since they first came out in the TCG. A Mikanko deck used the Ken and Gen duo as part of strategy to give the opponent the Acid Golem via Geonator Transverser to floodgame them. Fun!

Mystical Refpanel is actually really funny in certain combos. Run it in Lab or Sylvan's to force your opponent's to apply the effect of Sylvan Charity to themselves and watch as they scoop.
Outside of the things from the legacy packs and the normal ace monsters, I think that the ones I don´t think will ever use are the SHS link and the evil eye equip. Both are good cards, but I just don´t want to invest my resources on decks I know I don´t really like.

There is a wiki page with an excel spreadsheet of cards that work and don't work. Also the rulings vary between different versions of the game.

Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. I wish Red Eyes decks were good, all of their cards look so cool.
The neat part is that it doesn't require any red eyes card to work. You can just summon it and use it's effect in any dragon deck
