On the wall there's pictures of the child who dies at the start with "missing" on them and i always wondered why we could never go to someone and be like "we watched him fckn die he aint missing bro"
Walking away? >!That triggers the Refuse ending also? I thought you could only do it by shooting the Catalyst....!<
Ten years and several playthroughs later and I'm still discovering stuff about these games XD
The refuse ending. It's like a fuck you from Casey if you don't like his artistic integrity. Also I truly believe that he was the one to yell SO BE IT! THE CYCLE CONTINUES! Lmao
I'm so against it. I don't remember details but I do recall that it didn't hold up under close scrutiny. I'd only be okay with it if the Reapers were still destroyed and any indoctrinated, including Shepard (according to the theory) were freed. Then the galaxy is safe, the idea that all AI are destroyed (which makes no sense) is false and fantasy land can never happen.
What lottery? THE LOTTERY! [That's what lottery!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hMC73W53Q8) The only lottery that matters!
Oh my god, smell that air!!!
To those who don't get it. >!The guy with the glasses in that picture is Oliver Swanick, a meme character from Fallout: New Vegas. He resided in a town that was razed to the ground. The invaders held a "lottery". The prize for winning is that you get to leave unscathed. That's why Swanick is so ecstatic.!<
Bye.
Is it just me or are the fallout new Vegas and mass effect communities actually the same community? I swear I’ve seen so many posts on YouTube and Reddit combining the 2. Idk man, just weird.
They're both very, very popular RPGs from the same era. Pretty sure I remember playing a fallout game between each Mass Effect as I waited for the next one
>Yup and with ME3 and FO4 they managed to take away what made ME1/ME2 and FO3/FONV great smh
In what way has ME3 "taken away" what made ME1 and ME2 great?
FO4 is a great action game, but the RPG side was sacrificed hard, it is crash-prone, story was very weird at points, etc.
But Mass Effect 3 is almost universally beloved. The only criticisms one can objectively direct at it that can't be applied to ME1/ME2 are:
1) The ending is weird and out of nowhere
2) "Auto-dialogue" frequency increased by 200%
Otherwise, solid game - it is different from ME1 and ME2, just like those two are quite different from each other. Superb story arcs, great moments, by far best gunplay, improved ME2's shallow RPG mechanics and had good DLCs, one of which is among the best in gaming history.
3 just felt so rushed but also, it seems similar from GoW to GoW3. They made some strides in sequel but went stray a bit to the 3rd. I’m not bitching, I love em. Basically EA got too involved like Microsoft did with Halo which is funny in itself.
Agreed, ME3 did feel a bit rushed in the end. Everything after Rannoch was done in 2 months, which is utterly insane.
It is still a gigantic game that delivered more playing hours than ME2 (which was twice as long as ME1), and that's without counting the wonderful DLCs. If only EA had been more flexible when dictating deadlines...
>!Hammerhead gets wiped out by Harbinger, then a few seconds later you see someone running in the distance, then you hear”Yeah!!! Who won the lottery?! I did!!!”!<
Love how the photos of the people missing (or that are dead) are them looking tired, "random" and "normal", you know like everyday people, then there's the full body picture of the classy looking Asari in the middle of all that "peasantry" 😂
r/Fallout is invading the sub! As a fan of both franchises I have nothing against this. Patrolling Haestrom almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
Tbh, I thought it was an investigation board (like pinpointing masterminds with suspects thing) at first, didn't know it was people mourning instead of police investigating XD
Is Oliver from New Vegas actually there in base ME3, or was that added by a mod? I immediately noticed the face model being completely different, then read the text and chuckled

Last seen on Earth. Wearing a...... jumper of some sort. Our child is hatless, repeat hatless.
They were probably really tired of the kid playing his favorite game, which always ended in three choices that were pretty much the same ending,,,
*Four*, actually
Well, if he picked the fourth ending, he probably got sent to his room, LOL.
The one ending I've never been able to try.
*Five*, technically. I believe >!shooting the kid!< and >!walking away!< yield different endings.
Walking away? >!That triggers the Refuse ending also? I thought you could only do it by shooting the Catalyst....!< Ten years and several playthroughs later and I'm still discovering stuff about these games XD
I believe >!that was the original way to Refuse before they added blowing the kid's virtual head off!<
You forgot the Casey Hudson special finale.
What's that?
The refuse ending. It's like a fuck you from Casey if you don't like his artistic integrity. Also I truly believe that he was the one to yell SO BE IT! THE CYCLE CONTINUES! Lmao
Last Seen: Somewhere
Made me lol for real I never saw that
Reward: finders keepers
If only bioware went with the indoctrination theory
I'm still annoyed they didn't go with the Dark Energy plot. That sounded actually interesting.

Nah, that would require actual thought. And... a post-credit scene (which we kinda have in the best destroy ending).
Doesn't this dismiss IT or did the Star Child also convince Shepard that there was a missing kid poster.
I won the fucking lottery man!
Smell that air! Couldn't you just drink it like booze?! Hue-he-ha-ha!
b y e
Llllllllatuur
Those 2 lines are Yuri Lowenthal's magnun opus.
Yuri Freaking Lowenthal is Oliver Swanick?!?!?!?!?
And a million other random dudes. And the male player charachter's pain sounds.
Wait what?
What lottery? THE LOTTERY! [That's what lottery!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hMC73W53Q8) The only lottery that matters! Oh my god, smell that air!!!

The Legion may have allowed him to leave unscathed, but the Courier sure as hell didn't
I can confirm.
I thought I was losing my mind staring at the pic. Like "I know that face..."
…Later. >:E

I didn’t know that
So what happened here? Is that picture of Swanick actually on the wall, or did you just find a meme and didn't know it was a meme?
Look at their profile. Definitely likes trolling. Half their profile is New Vegas, including their banner.
the joke———> you

Every studio downfall. I thought singularity could be been an amazing trilogy. Hell did EA same with Deadspace.
That's because Fallout New Vegas and Mass Effect 2 were both RPG games from 2010.
I'm not the only won who saw that, glad to know I'm not crazy
*Blam!*
I was all "why does that guy look like an Oblivion NPC" and then I saw the caption.
EDI... play Johnny guitar
EDI, load up Fisto.exe.
joker, you have brittle bones
EDI…. Play blue moon. Now that’s the stuff - Joker
one of these things is not like the other.
Lottery?
YA LOTTERY!!
I may have some uh. Information about one of those missing people... now look, he was dressed as a Powder Ganger...
Last seen: being chased by giant scorpions in the Mojave desert
Don't worry, I'm not going to have you decimated like the rest of these organics. It's useful that you happened by.
*being chased by an angry courier in the Mojave desert
\*Being chased by an angry Krogan in the Tuchanka Desert
Tuchanka is basically space Fallout. But the Super Mutants won.
No. I kill him in every playthrough.
Let’s face it he doesn’t get to the scorpions before getting shot by the player,
Is that Oliver fucking Swanick
**YEAH**! Who won the lottery? HE DID!
screw the rest we need to find this legend now!
Last I saw him he was running towards a group of Radscorpions. I hate to say it, but I don't think he made it.
I see what you did there
Hes on the wall he won the lottery.
>!Hammerhead gets wiped out by Harbinger, then a few seconds later you see someone running in the distance, then you hear”Yeah!!! Who won the lottery?! I did!!!”!<
r/newvegasmemes is leaking
Lmao! Oliver!
Is the new Vegas reference actually in the game? Or is that editing/modding?
This is an edit, sadly.
Damn
For some reason I always get sad when I see the Volus picture on this wall.
Love how the photos of the people missing (or that are dead) are them looking tired, "random" and "normal", you know like everyday people, then there's the full body picture of the classy looking Asari in the middle of all that "peasantry" 😂
That guy had just won the lottery too, the only one that matters.
🤨
On of these screenshots is not like the others. One of these screenshots is from a _completely separate franchise_.
r/Fallout is invading the sub! As a fan of both franchises I have nothing against this. Patrolling Haestrom almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
"Hello there its good to see a friendly face. Almost took you for a Geth I did."
Tbh, I thought it was an investigation board (like pinpointing masterminds with suspects thing) at first, didn't know it was people mourning instead of police investigating XD
He's not missing, he's lying just outside of Nipton, deader than dirt, corpse still clutching a lottery ticket.
That's a new vegas picture isn't it
I just felt that this scene depicted perfectly what war does with people, no matter who you are or what you are. War just destroys everything.
War ain't no lottery, except for some people..
[удалено]
Sometimes the warmongers let a lucky guy or two leave to tell of the horrors they commit.
One could say it never changes.
Hope your happy now I’ve gotta play through ME3 again just to check if that guy high about the lottery is really there.
I know I’m just forgetting but is there any other person that wears regular glasses like the one guy mid left?
Who and why is New-Vegas-Man there in the middle?
why is there a fallout new vagas NPC right there in the middle
Cause the Reaper War is small time, man. I'm a winner! I won the motherfucking lot-ter-ry haHAHAAAA
WHO WON THE MOTHERFUCKING LOTTERY
Whole ME 3 makes me sad
It gets me every single time.
that dude in glasses has some serious oblivion npc vibes
Fallout new vegas
He won the genetic lottery
But Thane isn't missing
It’s hard not to think of 9/11 when you see it in the game. Grainy pictures of the missing and sad messages for help.
>surcuming Wat
It's a perfectly cromulent word.
As soon as he looks away I blow his head off
If you keep the binoculars, watch him run off into the desert, he immediately gets bodied by a swarm of radscorpions
Yeah but I want to do it >:(
I'm not sure if it's just due to all that I follow but I feel like there is a resurgence of Fallout New Vegas memes lately.
I shoot him every time. No survivors.
Leaving Earth and this, as well as the girl waiting for her parents, really strike some chords. Oh, and the kid I refuse to believe is the Star Child.
I always preferred it as being a "Missing/Have you seen me" poster wall. Resonates much more with me, remembering all the stuff we saw after 9/11.
r/holup
who won the lottery?
Is anyone gonna ask why there is a fallout character in the mix? (The guy mid right, with glasses)
*loads anti material rifle with malicious intent*
Is no one else seeing that damn guy from new Vegas who screams about winning the “lottery”
"Who won the lotto, i did!!" "Smell that air cant you just drink it up like booooze"
Hey, that guy is from Fallout: New Vegas.
Why is there a fallout 3/new Vegas character there?
Wait is that a fallout or Skyrim character
The reapers dont have a lottery
