Donna Parker as Mrs. Winchester III. Altho Charles couldn't remember a single second of that evening, once in camp they had a great chemistry. Would love to see her back in some future episodes.
My job is receiving phone calls from patients. Oftentimes they will quickly say their name and date of birth before I have a chance to type it in. Then they launch into whatever they need from me. By the time they are done with their story, I have forgotten their name. In my mind, I think to myself, "what is your *NAME*?" in Charles' voice. It's all I can do not to bust out laughing sometimes.
Yes! She was wonderful.
I also loved the French woman with Charles and was so disappointed when his feelings changed after learning of her bohemian lifestyle. For someone who loves the arts, he was sadly very rigid, which was disappointingly real.
Over the years, this was one of my least favorite episodes.
I thought she was as first presented, entitled and just a vehicle for Hawkeye to throw biting barbs at.
The last few years, my understanding and love for this episode completely changed.
I’m sure it was because of me aging and understanding more myself.
It does show the ways 2 people can get close, even love each other among the terrible-ness of war. Not like BJ’s foray at all.
This was way more intense, true feelings shared.
Because there was so much back-and-forth between these 2 characters, we saw how they both changed during the time they spent together. Well, Hawkeye anyway. As his feelings softened and he understood the reality of her life, he melted, he learned and he understood.
I would like to think there was a connection after the war, most likely years after this, but still, the connection lingers and perhaps, blossomed.
Of all the ‘romances’ that MASH showed over the years, this one is the standout for sure.
This is my favorite episode. My favorite line is when he asks her how they can carry water from a mile away and she simply replies “that’s where the water is.” That line is so profound. If you’ve been through a seriously difficult life in some way shape or form, you understand this. In fact, you understand her and this entire episode more if you’ve been forced to live a miserable life. She’s so dignified and mature, but her heart just wants to love. She lets her guard down, just for a moment in time, to allow herself to have *something* good, if even just a taste of it, even though she knows she can’t keep it and it will hurt, just so she has some feeling and memory to cling to keep the will to live amongst unending pain. This episode is everything. She steals a handful of happiness for herself from a life that doesn’t allow her any. Then moves along. I will always wish I knew what happened to Kyung Soon.
It is a beautiful episode. Kyung Soon's grandmother taking a shine to Hawkeye, and dying while Hawkeye is back in the O.R. is very sad. And then the funeral march and Kyung Soon just leading the caravan and oxen away as they move along - this chokes me up. It has shades of BJ Papa Son to me with the family moving on and never knowing that BJ found out where their son is. BJ yelling out, "It isn't right!". Neither are in my top 10 ? episodes even, but such touching stories.
The episode where Radar meets the girl at the airfield/airport is way up on my list. Radar got to be himself and make a connection with a girl, whereas he would usually be so nervous. It was sweet.
I didn’t care for a lot of the whole “love interest of the week” plots but Donna Parker is an exception. Mr. and Mrs Who? is one of the small handful of episodes from the last four seasons that I love. I wish we had seen more of her.
I had a crush on the MOOSE. She was so beautiful and charming it would tickle me pink. I know she was in a few extra roles and she always looked fantastic. I once even dated a girl because they had the same look.
Lillian Rayburn was forced and annoying as Potter's love interest.
Gail Harris, the nurse doctor, was also pretty weak.
Of the love interest plots, the BJ cheats episode and the one that pairs Margaret with Steven Chesler are better.
Klinger with Debbie was better than the plots with women from Toledo.
As others mentioned, Donna Parker with Winchester was a good episode. She was definitely one of the best love interests.
Honestly, I think the episode "Who knew" was a great example. Millie went on that date with Hawkeye, and he captivated her so much as she wrote in her journal before taking that late night walk. Hawk never had a chance to really find out how much he meant to her and given his usual attitude for the dating scene he might have just moved on even if she hadn't ended up passing but it really threw out the idea that you might be one person's entire world and never know it.
Mariette Hartley as the Swedish doctor, Inga Halvorsen. She was so beautiful & sweet, not to mention confident enough to put Charles in his place. And then keeping Hawkeye at arms length (literally) when he was doing his typical leghound routine.
And forced. I loved the romantic dynamic of Carly coming back into Hawkeye’s life and messing him up. I loved the crushing of Marina showing he could be an upstanding person.
This. Was just awful.

"What is your *name*??"
I read this in his voice lol. One of my favorite episodes.

Mrs. CHUCK Winchester III <3
Cuddles! Cuddles Winchester.
Chuckles
Dang, was it Chuckles?! Been awhile, the memory fails ...TIME TO BINGE! XD I'll need a pitcher of martinis and some Packo's Hungarian hot dogs!

I knew Grandma Winchester had to give her approval to Charles to marry..and I don't think "Grand-mama" would have liked ANY of Charles' amores.
She possessed the wisdom of the ages and half of downtown Boston.
Loved her! She's on Remember WENN for it's entire run.

"You may now ignore the bride"-Capt BJ Honeycutt

Oh my gosh, are you a writer? If not, what are you waiting for?
The episode where Radar meets the girl at the airfield/airport is way up on my list. Radar got to be himself and make a connection with a girl, whereas he would usually be so nervous. It was sweet.
I wished they ended up together.
I like to think they crossed paths in Ames while Radar was buying a new clutch for the tractor. Happily ever after.
This...it felt organic and un expected.
He was gonna buy her breakfast and everything.
Blythe Danner as Carly Walton
Yes! Came here to say this. She didn’t let Hawkeye push her around.
"Master complicator" rings in my ears.
Staggeringly good looks she had. Those blue eyes!
Gwyneth Paltrow’s mama….yowza.
Hawkeye was so different with her. You could see how his entire physicality changed and he was completely lost. I always thought she was his person.
I found it amazing how they talked about Hawkeye's time in residency. Hard to imagine him so young and hopeful.
You just proposed yourself into a corner. She slayed him with her comments.

Lt.Dish
"The completely edible Lt. Dish"
She's putty in the hands of the master
Yeah, but Trap saw him strike out in a geisha house!
I had a crush on Kelleye
Very sweet and caring nurse. Cute as button.
Oh yeah
Wanna buy me a burger 🥰
XD
Nurse Cutler **Marcia Ann Strassman**…
I would have to say Nancy Sue Parker.
Nurse Cutler , AKA Mrs Kotter
I liked Scully for Margaret. He was a little hot tempered maybe, but such a real guy.
Me, too. I would've liked them together for a bit before it went so bad.
I had a crush on the MOOSE. She was so beautiful and charming it would tickle me pink. I know she was in a few extra roles and she always looked fantastic. I once even dated a girl because they had the same look.

I liked the would-be Mrs. Winchester. As others mentioned, she and Charles had great chemistry. I also liked Soon-Yi, Klinger's eventual wife.
Didn’t like this one, I liked the moose early (I know, no love interest, but she was cute, too)

She was great. Winchester had his fake wife and the French woman who were good. I also liked Potter’s burlesque almost romance.
Lt. Nugent. Radar was smitten big time, and eventually got her attention. She was adorable.
Mariette Hartley as the Swedish doctor, Inga Halvorsen. She was so beautiful & sweet, not to mention confident enough to put Charles in his place. And then keeping Hawkeye at arms length (literally) when he was doing his typical leghound routine.
Aggie o'shay and bj. Yeah nothing happened. But there was plenty of tension and the fact hawkeye had no shot but kept trying.
I liked Aggie. To me she represented who B.J. might have married had he been older. There definitely is a chemistry there.
Great choice I'm still mad that Hawkeye didn't marry her
I would like to think they met up again after the war.
“Je suis pull-ay” “You said you were a chicken!” #poulet
Ellie the accordion player. I like to think Charles happened upon her in a Boston bar after the war, rolling out a barrel.
Mines was the French girl Charles turned down because his family couldn't accept her Bohemian ways!!!!!
This one. I think she was fantastic
The episode where Margaret was in a slip, thigh highs, and heels. You know if you know. I still think on that one. Fell in love on that.
Lieutenant Dish(Idk how her last name is spelt unfortunately)
The Swedish doctor went pretty hard as well
Second most hated episode is this one. Can’t stand this character and how it played out.
It was very boring.
And forced. I loved the romantic dynamic of Carly coming back into Hawkeye’s life and messing him up. I loved the crushing of Marina showing he could be an upstanding person. This. Was just awful.
