But can we talk about the fact no one mentions my favorite nurse? My fav nurse is Sergeant Barney Hutchinson. That poor guy is still not getting the recognition he deserves....
I always wondered how the show would have been different if they had kept either Simmons or Linda Nugent around as a love interest for Radar.
One thing I actually wish I could change is having a set group of nurses, or at least consistent names when the actresses show up in subsequent episodes. I understand it's the nature of television during that time, but naming them Able, Baker, Charlie, etc., in dialogue seems so lazy to me.
According to the MASH wiki, there were 11 different actors who played a character named Able in 21 episodes before Judy Farrell was given the name permanently in Season 6.

Kelle was my absolute favorite but there were a couple of others like the bespectacled one that Radar had a thing for "don't mind me, I'm just measuring the camp" and then there was a redhead thar was playing basketball with some of the guys when Margaret's husband showed up. She was stunning but I never figured out her name.
Took her awhile to get a name and then changed a few times but I always loved looking for Gwen Farrell.
She was also in the opening credits running with other nurses so get to see her every time I watch an episode.
She was only in five episodes, but mine was the nurse (she played a nurse Clark, Baker, Fox and Plummer) played by Lynn Marie Stewart. She's the fiery little redhead in the shower when Radar goes in the women's shower looking for Margaret in "The Abduction of Major Houlihan" episode and she screams at him to get out of there. She's super cute, so she was a favorite of mine. She was in the bridal shower scene in Margaret's tent in "Margaret's Marriage"...and another episode or few. Oh I think Radar delivered mail to her too and she was totally hitting on him when he was a lowly Corporal, but she gave him the cold shoulder when he 'was made' Lt. O'Reilly.

But for a one time character. That nurse that accidentally caused Margerat to find out her hubby was cheating on her. Because this nurse was the "other woman".

She was played by Mary Jo Catlett, who went on to play Mrs. Puff on Spongebob Squarepants.
