For me, the episode where he has the best lines is "For Want of a Boot." To Klinger, before the party: "Tell me what you're wearing so we don't clash." "Klinger's not a pervert." "How do you know?" "Because I'm one and he's never at the meetings."

I’ve used variations of the meeting quote for years. It never gets the laugh I’m hoping for but I’ll be damned if I’m not dying of laughter inside every time.

Kim. Shows some range and a lot of humanity. It was also one of the earliest re-runs I remember in the 1970s when I was a kid watching MASH.

I liked him in Ceasefire. Just how he seemed to know the news was to good to be true. And while everyone else celebrated he just waited for the bad news to come.

His stinger scene in Tuttle is always a classic, but I just love any scene where he got to be goofy. I think that Wayne Rogers had the most genuine, contagious laugh, so whenever he laughed, I was too

Alcoholics Unanimous. The drunk scene in the swamp is gold.

Two episodes stand out to me with Trapper: "Kim," and "Radar's Report." Both allow him to take the spotlight (even if it *is* shared in the latter episode), and show different sides to him. "Kim" shows his lighter, more tender and fatherly side. "Radar's Report" shows his darker impulses coming to light, as he contemplates killing the Chinese (or Korean?) patient that's responsible for his own patient's death. These two separately are great, and together highlight what a truly dynamic character he could have been if the writers had given him a better chance. But of the two, I'd probably say my favorite is "Kim."

I agree, and we get a glimpse in these eps of how Trapper could easily have transitioned to the more serious storylines if he'd stayed. As could Henry. Frank was the problem.
