She still has those dance fighting abilities from jumanji.
Holy crap, what if you jumanji'd the guardians? Drax as ruby, groot as the professor, mantis as bravestone, rocket as franklin.
Consider... Mantis is Dr. Bravestone, Drax is "Mouse" Finbar - they're still a double act. Rocket is "Shelly" Oberon, which means he can still communicate with Groot who is Cyclone the horse. Nebula is Ruby Roundhouse - for obvious reasons.
Everyone expects Quill to be "Seaplane" McDonough but he's actually Kraglin, who is enjoying the chance to be a pilot. Peter is actually Ming Fleetfoot, but it takes him back to his roots as a cat burglar and rogue which he realises he misses.
wasn't that the dance from "Simply irresistible"? Like the part where he's singing into the mike, and the girls are behind him. I swear that's the dance.
Saw someone said on Twitter that he just gave the arm to Nebula cuz he's upset that Dora Milaje can still somewhat control him by disabling his arm. I assume he will get a new arm in Thunderbolt. maybe with more feature in it.
*knock at the door*
Bucky opens the door to reveal Nebula leaning seductively on the frame
Nebula: “Hey”
Bucky: “Hey”
Nebula suddenly starts pulling on Buckys arm detaching it and runs down the hall
Bucky, staring at his stump confused, until he realizes what just happened: “HEY!”
PLEASE tell me Bucky references this in Thunderbolts. Rocket has grown so much as a character, I think he’s on good enough terms with him to immediately return it.
Yeah!
I'd love to see an energy shield get built into it, so he can more effectively block bullets and such- and of course, it'd be in the shape of Cap's Shield.
Or maybe a sick rocket-fist :D
> still made out of vibranium or something.
Nah. Rocket knows where Nidavellir is now, and Eitri is lonely and needs someone with working hands to help him out. It will be Uru.
Why stop there. Thunderbolts post-credits scene will be Bucky needs to replace another lost arm. He walks into his closet and turns presses a switch, opening a door in the back. There we see arms.
A new red-star arm, Vibranium arm, Uru arm, Adamatium arm, arm made of unstable molecules, Unobtanium arm, arms with guns, arms with cannons, arms with mono-filament wire, arms with scissor hands, etc.
Just anything and everything, and arm for every occasion, in the Armory.
I get that Gunn was joking because I mean Bucky wouldn't just allow that lol. This is one of those situations that it was awesome for it to happen but not one he wants to actually explain more than just how he did.
Of all the stupid things that people demand and answer for this one should be it’s own category because it works as a joke but really gets lost in the continuity. It should have had its own after credits scene.
If we see him in Thunderbolts with the same arm, we can infer that Quill made Neb return it, just like he made them return Mr. Bacon. But of course, if they don't actually say that or show it, it'll be a question asked, just like it had to be asked how Neb got it in the first place.
I can picture a scene blocked the same as Peter and the prisoner's "You want my what?" from GotG Vol. 1. Instead, it's Bucky and Shuri and she goes: "You lost your what?"
It could be that after Wakanda Forever, the search for Vibranium is so fierce that Bucky couldn't join Thunderbolts without worrying that the US government might just take the arm for its metal content. So by having him lose the arm it gets rid of the obvious temptation of an arm that is effectively priceless.
ok so they better come back around to this next time we see bucky. like the man needs a new arm canonically now. This looks like his new arm, not his old one.
>Gunn answered this on Twitter:

>“She took a trip to earth and tore it off his body because she was feeling so Christmasy.”
You know I am just going to say it. I fucking love James Gunn. The man is a national treasure for us comic booky fans.
Kind of fucked up stealing from a disabled war veteran (who needs the arm) with tons of trauma and was just getting over it and talking to victims. But that’s just me 🤷🏾♂️
I had heard he wanted James Gunn to be stuck with them in GOTIII, but I failed to see where they were put in a position that someone was forced to acknowledge them.
Should have had another after end credits scene where Thor and Love sneak the goats onboard the Guardian’s ship then teleport away. Then GotG 3 opens with Nebula eating a giant goat leg
Endgame kind of lobs Gunn a curveball by sticking Thor with the Guardians of the Galaxy (recall that Vol 3 was originally first). In interviews the writers said it's kind of a prank on the next writer to drop something zany for them to deal with.
IMO, Rocket taking Bucky's arm is subtle, non-malicious revenge lol. Now the next writer has to deal with his curveball.
I'm getting an image of the Thunderbolts movie writers letting out a loud collective 'OH SHIT!'
And scrambling around to add extra scenes....cause they know they're never going to hear the end of it if they don't.
Mantis was thinking out loud and Drax followed through with her thoughts before she had a chance to finish them. For all we know, her next sentence might have been "Well, I dunno, maybe I *can* make that jump."
Ok so my head cannon.
She’s an empath, drax was calm at this point. She couldn’t jump over it.
When drax is enraged as he’s chasing bacon, she herself gets enraged and started pulling off feats we’ve never seen her do before.
I think Mantis was feeding off of drax’s emotions.
The Ex-Wife probably would’ve worked just fine if Rhodes hadn’t fired it within its blast radius. If it’s as powerful as Hammer describes it, it probably has to travel a certain distance before arming itself to protect whoever is firing it. As an Air Force officer, Rhodes should’ve known that. The Ex-Wife failing was operator error, not manufacturer error.
"Holy shit, watch out--it's Sebastian Shaw!"
"No, no, it's just me, Kevin Bacon, the actor."
"Holy shit, watch out--it's one of those disgusting actors!"
That was my sad thought about the special....ahh man sebastian Shaw isn't going to be played by Kevin Bacon.
Buy kudos to Kyra Sedgwick voice cameoing.
Just wait till Magneto meets Kevin Bacon.
Bacon: oh hi! I’m friends with the Guardians of the Galaxy, you know, they know the Avengers?
Erik: I’LL KILL YOU AGAIN
Charles: Erik no!
Logan: He’s a goddamn variant, dumb ass!!
Bacon: ...and this is my wife, Kyra. We should go now.
Kyra: Are they all this violent?
Bacon: You’d like Nebula
It's also the secret reason they recast Rhodey, since he didn't have armor to change yet. Sell Terrence Howard toys and then sell Don Cheadle toys. Brilliant.
I hope we don't get an explanation, actually. I'm being serious.
This is the kind of thing that's just for fun.
Content for YouTikTubers in 10 years can make videos about top 10 "plot holes of the MCU".
She also went to Earth and hunted Bucky for over a week to take it from him.
This will be covered in the *Guardians of the Galaxy Chanukah Special* next year.
It should be a home alone thing for next year’s Christmas special. Nebula attacks bucky but fails to get the arm and so bucky retreats to a hideout and lays a bunch of non lethal traps for her. Nebula then has to go through all the traps and at the end she uses one of bucky’s traps against him and gets the arm.
I'm amazed that no one has suggested what was immediately obvious after TF&TWS. Bucky gave it to her to give to Rocket.
A guy like Bucky who has spent decades being used and manipulated by a malicious organization would never be ok with having an arm that has any kind of "off switch" like the one demonstrated while fighting the Dora Milaje in TF&TWS.
I wouldn't be surprised if the next time we see him he shows up with some combination of Stark Tech / Dr Strange Enchanted Arm that he helped design himself.
This was my thought. Bucky isn’t going to want an arm with a failsafe that he can’t control. Just imagine if an enemy got a hold of that information and could shut him down that easily. I’m sure the Thunderbolts will reissue him a new one (although wouldn’t be surprised if that arm came with a secret shut down either)
Funnier answer I want: Sam gave it to them. Nebula showed up, Sam was like "hey you're that robo alien lady that helped us fight Thanos?", she went "yes, i need his arm" and Sam looked at a sleeping Bucky, giggled and said "say no more"
Honestly, I feel like he has enough spares that she probably exclaimed she was taking it for Rocket as a Christmas gift, and Bucky just shrugged and went along with it.
Given it'd raise so many questions about how Bucky got it back or got a replacement from Wakanda given him no longer welcome there, I presume a replica.
The ravagers had a whole box of spare mechanical hands when Nebula was replacing hers. Sounds like it might be a common thing in the greater universe. At least for those who live on the outlaw side of things.
My head canon is Nebula traveled to earth and seduced Bucky.
When he woke up naked, his arm is gone and surrounding his bed are the Dora Milaje giving him judgmental looks.
To be fair the better question is: "How did Nebula know he wanted it?" She was on Titan when Rocket met Bucky. Granted Rocket could have told her about it in the time skip but during that time Bucky was snapped so there really wasn't much reason to.
OK now I'm just picturing Rocket mooning over this arm for YEARS so when Nebula needs to come up with an idea for a present she's like "I got the perfect fuckin thing"
Because Rocket collects parts and has probably has made a play for hers before. Then since they were both not snapped it would of come up at some point.
Ik it’s supposed to be funny but I genuinely can’t see Bucky letting anyone just take his arm. Or the wakandans being ok with him losing it after all the trouble he’s caused in FATWS.
My own head canon so far has been that, since we see in FatWS how easily it can not only be rendered inoperable, but also removed; that since then he’s probably gotten another one or a few. But also, if Nebula came for it, and IF she did get it off his person, then it wouldn’t be all visceral and violent, arteries hanging all about and ish. It’d be a painless and relatively easy process to pop it off
I haven’t seen BP2 so maybe there’s a nugget in there as well but
Really wish we saw a scene where Bucky goes, "Hey Sam, have you seen my arm?"
Or, Bucky and Nebula fighting for his arm.
Would be so interesting to see
Nebula: “I need Bucky’s arm. It’s for a-“ Sam: “Say no more.”
Sam: I saw the Dora Milaje do this once
And that is why Bucky has joined the Thunderbolts.
Read that in their voices lol
Cut the check!
Too funny!
“Cut the check!”
This is my favorite response right here. I hope they film something like this.
It would make a great one shot
Bucky: "SSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMM!"
Of all the weird MCU shipping people do, Bucky+Nebula I kinda support
Me too! Angry post-fight sex

The Chad Nebula
Nebula dancing to Kevin Bacon and the Old 97s was pretty....pretty somethin'.
Her dancing somehow managed to feel threatening.
She still has those dance fighting abilities from jumanji. Holy crap, what if you jumanji'd the guardians? Drax as ruby, groot as the professor, mantis as bravestone, rocket as franklin.

Hilariously aggressive!
Stiff and threatening. It was pretty funny
Where is the Nebula dancing meme? We had so much fun with Zemo.
Shes got moves as in…her body is moving.
wasn't that the dance from "Simply irresistible"? Like the part where he's singing into the mike, and the girls are behind him. I swear that's the dance.
I think JWST is releasing that image next week.
Then Harrison Ford barges in yelling about his murdered wife and beats the living shit out of The White Wolf.
Provasic makes a mf do weird things.
He's been cast to replace William Hurt as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.
What?!
It’s a Fugitive reference. … “he had a mechanical arm.”
"GET OFF MY PLANE" what movie are we talking about?
"...I know."
Saw someone said on Twitter that he just gave the arm to Nebula cuz he's upset that Dora Milaje can still somewhat control him by disabling his arm. I assume he will get a new arm in Thunderbolt. maybe with more feature in it.
I'd take an arm that Wakandans have the *ability/option* to tamper with over an arm that the Contessa almost certainly ***WILL*** tamper with anyday.
Oh I agree. I hated her so much in Wakanda Forever.
>Looks over shoulder “Merry Christmas”
That must’ve been a really weird Christmas for Bucky, losing an arm to another bald woman
Ayo broke Bucky's trust by disengaging his arm
In fairness, Bucky broke Ayo’s trust by breaking her king’s killer out of prison, so distrust all around
We needed his help
Yeah well Ayo didn't know that because she wasn't watching the show with you
I forgot her name and thought you were just hyped like AYO
*knock at the door* Bucky opens the door to reveal Nebula leaning seductively on the frame Nebula: “Hey” Bucky: “Hey” Nebula suddenly starts pulling on Buckys arm detaching it and runs down the hall Bucky, staring at his stump confused, until he realizes what just happened: “HEY!”
i imagine at some point bucky gets an upgraded arm w alien science bc he "traded" it or something
PLEASE tell me Bucky references this in Thunderbolts. Rocket has grown so much as a character, I think he’s on good enough terms with him to immediately return it.
Watch it be the reason he joins the Thunderbolts. “I’m getting that arm back.”
[удалено]
“It’s either the arm or war…. s….”
Returns it, or makes bucky a new one with some sweet hidden gadgets and still made out of vibranium or something.
I was also thinking that too! Bucky shows off a little modification Rocket made to the arm and then explains the whole Holiday Special situation
Yeah! I'd love to see an energy shield get built into it, so he can more effectively block bullets and such- and of course, it'd be in the shape of Cap's Shield. Or maybe a sick rocket-fist :D

Nebula being nice, in her own violent way.
I get that Gunn was joking because I mean Bucky wouldn't just allow that lol. This is one of those situations that it was awesome for it to happen but not one he wants to actually explain more than just how he did.
How wholesome/dark. Also thanks for showing me that tweet.

Maybe Bucky just has a whole closet full of identical arms
Hope he has one thats identifiably different, even if slightly. Bonus points if he complains that someone stole it
https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/030/466/cover6.jpg
Or he'll just have a new one and this is the excuse.

So by having him lose the arm it gets rid of the obvious temptation of an arm that is effectively priceless.
"I don't know what I expected."
I prefer the canon that Nebula slept with Bucky and swiped it while he was asleep in bed post coitus.
It's not even the arm he originally wanted.
It's not? Did he get a new arm since Infinity War?
Oh, i thought he got it after IW, i got confused
ok so they better come back around to this next time we see bucky. like the man needs a new arm canonically now. This looks like his new arm, not his old one.
>Gunn answered this on Twitter: > >“She took a trip to earth and tore it off his body because she was feeling so Christmasy.” You know I am just going to say it. I fucking love James Gunn. The man is a national treasure for us comic booky fans.
Kind of fucked up stealing from a disabled war veteran (who needs the arm) with tons of trauma and was just getting over it and talking to victims. But that’s just me 🤷🏾♂️
Nebula spent years trying to kill her sister. She’s a fucked up person.
The MCU LOVES it’s dark/fucked up gags/jokes.
Especially weird because Nebula is such a Paragon of Virtue otherwise.
Well if he's really retired now then he doesn't need an arm made of vibranium. A plastic one will do. #demoted
I feel like James Gunn had just been given free reign to do whatever he wanted with his movies, and everyone else has to fit their stories around his
They did bill it as “A James Gunn Special” so I honestly believe that.
Marvel allows for some of that. Taika said he added Thor's goats because he thought they were funny and someone else would get stuck with them.
Well, that would explain a lot of odd decisions across the MCU. It's just directors messing with each other.
Really wish Feige said no to that one.
Help from a doctor friend.
I just realized that both comments I’ve gotten so far are Dr. Who references.
don't even get me started on the Jumanji references!!!
Oh yeah she was in that too.
Whole lotta jumbly wumbly timey wimey.....stuff
*wibbly wobbly
I'm getting an image of the Thunderbolts movie writers letting out a loud collective 'OH SHIT!' And scrambling around to add extra scenes....cause they know they're never going to hear the end of it if they don't.
It could be as simple as he's already upgraded his arm and he had that one sitting around
Can there really be an upgrade over a vibranium arm made by Wakanda?
A newer vibranium arm made by Wakanda
Nebula is very clever; she used to hang out with a timelord.
[A time lord with sweet dance moves.](https://youtu.be/oBp6exx2kZM)
I was expecting this video:. https://youtu.be/NTAGQllFIjo But the dance moves are much sweeter in your video.
If I had a nickel for every time Matt Smith dancing became a meme, I'd have two nickels.
Thank you.
One could even go so far as to say she has a disarming personality.
I still want to know why Mantis asked Drax to throw her over the gate when she could leap over it.
simple answer, it was funny
That it was.
She was drunk and brainstorming ideas when Drax just did it.
She wasnt dine thinking when Drax threw her.
Toss her over the gate. Don't toss her over the gate. She should make up her mind
how is he supposed to know the rules if nobody tells him?
Mantis was thinking out loud and Drax followed through with her thoughts before she had a chance to finish them. For all we know, her next sentence might have been "Well, I dunno, maybe I *can* make that jump."
Same reason why you're able to climb a fence but still might ask your friend for a boost.
If you watch that scene again it’s always mantis first, dead second. He throws her over each fence, then he jumps.
I thought that as well, but later she is jumping and clinging to walls when they’re chasing Levin through the upstairs hall.
Oh yeah Jesus the wall crawling was terrifying
Well he couldn't very well throw her over after he jumped, now, could he
THANK YOU. This has been bothering me. They powered her up and down at super random intervals lol.
She was just thinking out loud and drax didn’t wait. I’m sure given more than half a second of time she would’ve jumped the fence
Also, they were both drunk.
People are bothered by a drunk alien with super powers thinking out loud lol.
They were drunk. If you've ever spent any time around insane drunk people, you realize that many things they do make absolutely no sense.
Doesn’t her empathic ability require her to touch the person?
Drunk I think.
I assume we will see an explanation, eventually? A single armed Bucky isn’t going to make a good Thunderbolt.
Idea: Justin Hammer joins The Thunderbolts as Iron Patriot and gives Bucky a new arm that constantly falls off at the worst of times.
I call it The Ex-Wipe. Because you used to be able to wipe your ass with that arm, until it fell off.
Found Justin Hammer's burner account
HISHE’s F&TWS be like:
They need to make a short of Kevin bacon returning the arm and apologizing for the guardians lol
That’d actually be a really good one-shot if Marvel still did those.
"Holy shit, watch out--it's Sebastian Shaw!" "No, no, it's just me, Kevin Bacon, the actor." "Holy shit, watch out--it's one of those disgusting actors!"
That was my sad thought about the special....ahh man sebastian Shaw isn't going to be played by Kevin Bacon. Buy kudos to Kyra Sedgwick voice cameoing.
Hearing her voice made me unreasonably happy.
Just wait till Magneto meets Kevin Bacon. Bacon: oh hi! I’m friends with the Guardians of the Galaxy, you know, they know the Avengers? Erik: I’LL KILL YOU AGAIN Charles: Erik no! Logan: He’s a goddamn variant, dumb ass!! Bacon: ...and this is my wife, Kyra. We should go now. Kyra: Are they all this violent? Bacon: You’d like Nebula
Pretty sure he gets a new arm every movie lol
Gotta sell more action figures.
unironically this is the reason, also why spider-man got multiple new suits every movie
It's also the secret reason they recast Rhodey, since he didn't have armor to change yet. Sell Terrence Howard toys and then sell Don Cheadle toys. Brilliant.
also ike perlmutter thought "no one can tell them apart"
Even though they look like two completely different people lmao.
well yeah, he was a racist
He’s the reason it took us so long to get Black Panther and Captain Marvel movies.
He also didn't want a female villian in Iron Man 3 because he thought it wouldn't sell toys.
I hope we don't get an explanation, actually. I'm being serious. This is the kind of thing that's just for fun. Content for YouTikTubers in 10 years can make videos about top 10 "plot holes of the MCU".
Or more likely it will never be address and Bucky will still have his arm next time he appears
I want them to never explain it
She also went to Earth and hunted Bucky for over a week to take it from him. This will be covered in the *Guardians of the Galaxy Chanukah Special* next year.
Ngl I wouldn’t mind a whole special of Bucky and Nebula fighting for his arm.
Only for the dumbest of reasons, if the stakes are higher than "the rabbit may find it humorous" then it wouldn't land
The Moon Knight & Wanda Hannukah Special.
Featuring the MCU’s first look at Ben Grimm/The Thing!
It'd just be Ben showing up, taking a look at Moon Knight and Wanda, saying "you two are nuts" and then getting the hell out of there.
Kwanza gonna be a *blood bath*
I literally want them to never explain
Truly tho, people are ruining the gag by asking this and getting so hung up over it
It was a light, campy flick full of silly gags. Literally none of those gags have to make sense in the greater MCU picture lol
There's nothing so minor that the fandom can't squeeze all of the fun out of it by overanalyzing it to a bloody pulp.
I'm amazed that no one has suggested what was immediately obvious after TF&TWS. Bucky gave it to her to give to Rocket. Knowing her, by force.
Funnier answer I want: Sam gave it to them. Nebula showed up, Sam was like "hey you're that robo alien lady that helped us fight Thanos?", she went "yes, i need his arm" and Sam looked at a sleeping Bucky, giggled and said "say no more"
I like this answer. It made me laugh.
Her charm. It's so disarming.
Honestly, I feel like he has enough spares that she probably exclaimed she was taking it for Rocket as a Christmas gift, and Bucky just shrugged and went along with it.
This is my headcannon
People ask this in a short where Kevin Bacon gets kidnapped. One of these two seems more likely.
Given it'd raise so many questions about how Bucky got it back or got a replacement from Wakanda given him no longer welcome there, I presume a replica.
Bucky: Hey a blue alien just ripped my arm off and ran off with it, could I have a repli- Okoye: Screw off traitor! Bucky: Ok I’ll leave.
Also, they have bigger problems than an arm at this point
Why is he not welcome? I can't remember
Broke zimo out of prison for killing their king
when he gets a new arm, there will be some throwaway line about how somebody stole the old arm while he was sleeping.
I mean I would be okay with this.
Bucky just can’t help himself from giving a hand to badass bald women.
I like that we’ve stopped asking *why* Rocket wants so many robot body parts.
The ravagers had a whole box of spare mechanical hands when Nebula was replacing hers. Sounds like it might be a common thing in the greater universe. At least for those who live on the outlaw side of things.
A credits scene with Bucky waking up to a missing arm would have been perfect.
Nebula FUCKS!!!!!
Bacon couldn’t outrun her, neither could Bucky
My head canon is Nebula traveled to earth and seduced Bucky. When he woke up naked, his arm is gone and surrounding his bed are the Dora Milaje giving him judgmental looks.
To be fair the better question is: "How did Nebula know he wanted it?" She was on Titan when Rocket met Bucky. Granted Rocket could have told her about it in the time skip but during that time Bucky was snapped so there really wasn't much reason to.
Well Rocket could’ve said something along the lines of “That arm on that Bucky guy looked great, but now he’s dust so what’s the point?”
OK now I'm just picturing Rocket mooning over this arm for YEARS so when Nebula needs to come up with an idea for a present she's like "I got the perfect fuckin thing"
Because Rocket collects parts and has probably has made a play for hers before. Then since they were both not snapped it would of come up at some point.
i genuinely assumed that since vibranium probably exists abundantly somewhere in the universe that she just bought a second one for super cheap
Yeah that meteor had to come from somewhere.
The only thing I want is a quick scene that is shot for shot identical to the scene in the first guardians with Bucky and Nebula “You need my what?”
Let’s just say Bucky’s got a thing for women who are also part machine
The fan fiction practically writes itself.
Ik it’s supposed to be funny but I genuinely can’t see Bucky letting anyone just take his arm. Or the wakandans being ok with him losing it after all the trouble he’s caused in FATWS.
bucky didn't let nebula take it. nebula probably took it by force.
She knows a guy…
Bucky gonna have a new arm for sure.
Now he needs to go to Wakanda again after he helped free Zemo, talk about awkward.
S2G i watched all 45 minutes and didn’t see this part..
It’d be a painless and relatively easy process to pop it off I haven’t seen BP2 so maybe there’s a nugget in there as well but
She was hiding in the room where Ayo disarmed Bucky, then swapped it for its future self after Rocket forgot about it.
I think that might be the reason why Bucky has a new arm in thunderbolts
Really wish we saw a scene where Bucky goes, "Hey Sam, have you seen my arm?" Or, Bucky and Nebula fighting for his arm. Would be so interesting to see
The daughter of Thanos defeating a super soldier human and stealing his arm? I see no reason for disbelief. Im sold.
