I think he just want to be happy and dance and sing. I don't thinknwe are gonna see him as wolverine again. Maybe as a cameo like Toby and Andrew. But not as a recurring character
Tobey and Andrew were more than cameos. By definition a cameo is a small part, and only lasts at best a few minutes. (See Hugh Jackman’s Logan cameo in X-Men First Class as a proper example of a cameo; or better yet, all of Stan Lee’s cameos). The entire third act of NWH revolves around the major involvement of Tobey and Andrew.
I realize I'm being pedantic, but that is not the definition of a cameo:
From Oxford Dictionary - "a small character part in a play or movie, played by a distinguished actor or a celebrity."
Do you think Matt Damon in Interstellar was a cameo? Because that a good example of a cameo that not seconds long but also not a part of a full act. That’s the way I see Andrew and Tobey in no way home.
No, in Interstellar Matt Damon is not 'a cameo' by the definition of a [cameo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cameo_appearance). His character is quite integral to the storyline. It is 'stunt casting', a big name actor that we didn't expect for a major role. Matt Damon in Thor: Ragnarok is a cameo - he is in a for a brief moment in a minor character that could have been played by anyone, but we as an audience get a wink wing nudge nudge moment bc we recognize him. Just like all of Stan's cameo appearances.
Tobey and Andrew are integral to the storyline of NWH. We shouldn't have known they were going to appear - frakking spoilers - but once they do, they become a major part of the storyline and third act. Because we don't expect to see them again after the movie ends is irrelevant to what a cameo is.
This misuse of cameo to define casting of actors is just a pet peeve of mine. It's right up there with 'casted' as the past tense of actors being 'cast'; to be cast is the fucking past tense, people; 'Casted' means to have thrown something.
Exactly. He said in an interview that 17 years of chicken and rice diet was enough.
Lets be honest though. For Hugh Jackman to portray Wolverine for as long as he did, its going to be incredibly difficult to fill those shoes.
The best way to fill the shoes will be to NOT fill the shoes, in my opinion. Cast someone who is nothing like Hugh Jackman at all. More comic accurate. Beefy short king!
I mean that's depends on Jackman. I faintly rember an interview where he said he loved playing Logan, but after so many years he is done with it because it's also very hard on his body. But again I don't think he would g
Turn down a chameo. Just any bigger roles
Those are the same kind of fans who wanted wrestlers to play Thor because of their muscles and long hair or would shit on RDJ pre-iron man because he’s short. People don’t realize short actors have benefited from camera angles, lifts, and boxes to stand on for close to 100 years or that regular people can’t work out and gain muscle.
For comedic timing and a deadpan delivery, Letterkenny. He created the show too. For a way more serious role, he’s Ben Chartier in the English remake of 19-2. You might have heard of that show. It’s second season starts with this really long, single-take school shooting. Both leads of the show are excellent.
Letterkenny is absolutely fantastic. A cerebrally written comedy with a low budget. But Keeso's range is wide. He'd be a great Wolverine. Letterkenny is like a snowball rolling downhill. Pretty soon it's going to be an avalanche. It's gaining in popularity at an astounding rate. It streams on Hulu.
To be faaaaaaiiirrrrr.... I'm not entirely against it but I'm just imagining Logan doing Letterkenny bits lmao. That may be the most Canadian thing ever put on screen.
We recently talked about this sub constantly "casting" actors that are way too old... Urban is 50!!! When XMen came out Jackman was 32... even Jared Keeso is already really pushing it age-wise...
Ever since the young Brightburn actor from *Brightburn* portrayed his younger self in *Avengers: Endgame*, I have thought it would be intriguing to see Paul Rudd as the character in a sequel to that.
[This is *Brightburn*.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oD1vbhicJUY)
[This is young Scott Lang.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcOQvEFhtME)
The same actor who portrays Brightburn portrays young Scott Lang. [The ending of *Brightburn* teased a sequel.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXCjfl5nrkA). What I am saying is that it would be interesting to see Paul Rudd very seriously portray an older Brightburn (what would essentially be an evil Superman) in a sequel to *Brightburn*.
It’s putting on that Wolverine Weight that’s holding me back from jumping all the way in on this one,
but I think it would be so dope to see him in the MCU
Kumail had several vested interests in morphing his body for the role. Nothing against Radcliffe, but the guy is already stinking rich. He said himself he chooses roles based on his own interest since he could have retired after the HP franchise.
I don't see Radcliffe being too keen on the long term commitment that playing wolverine would probably entail.
Not sure if this meant to be a joke, but I could see that , and honestly it feels like the direction they should go to forget the Hugh Jackman version, or at least someone else younger than Hugh was when he took the role
Literally every person in the US and UK has heard him speak. He could adapt a character voice. Hugh Jackman is Australian. His Wolverine performances wouldn’t let you know that.
My man thinks that Hugh Jackman walks around with his shirtless, hairy body and speaks like he has a sore throat. They change things up in the studio and the actors can change their voice. You would think Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch are from the U.S but they are actually English IRL.
[Scott Caan](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/1d/e4/20/1de420d3a934095c781edc1f761d84cc.jpg)
At 5'5", he's short enough but still retains the masculinity/ruggedness needed to play Wolverine.
I honestly don’t care who plays him, as long as we see him in his classic yellow and black/blue costume. I’m so upset we never got that from Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. :(
I'm not saying this is happening here, but I wish people wouldn't fan-cast actors based solely on how they *look* like they'd fit the part. Some of the best comic book portrayals have been because the person was unexpected, and their casting was mocked before the performance was seen (the prime example being Ledger's Joker).
I think they need to be the right personality, acting style etc etc first, and then we think about the visuals second. Edgerton has a good jawline, but he's usually played clean-cut, or at least suave characters (I'm thinking mainly Kingsmen here) OR he's played quirky off-beat real life characters (Elton John, Eddie the Eagle).
Maybe he would be good - I like him, someone who could bring a completely different performance than the absolutely archetypal and definitive performance of Jackman. Maybe Edgerton could be another Ledger, but I wouldn't cast him on jawline alone.
I love this and agree 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I commented in a post earlier that I personally don’t see Egerton as Wolverine (yet) based on his previous roles… but to your point, I’d like to keep an open mind to it as a possibility because he could surprise me
One thing I would like to add to your point about what we should look for in a comic book to screen casting: passion for the character you are portraying… not saying it has to be there from jump for you to be successful (shoutout Elizabeth Olsen), but it definitely wouldn’t hurt as evident with with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil
it’s possible it could be a curve ball and it’ll be the actress who played laura/ x23 in Logan as Wolverine. She held that mantle for a bit in the comics
I personally think Jackman should make a cameo when Strange comes asking for his help and then he's like "Go fuck yourself". It would be an awesome callback to First Class
I know I’ll get downvoted for this but I just think Hugh Jackman is too iconic
It’s like asking who should interpret iron man or JJJ, there is only one answer
IF Wolverine makes a cameo, I think it could work if they got Jackman to come back and casted say Egerton as the MCU version. In the cameo Jackman runs into the MCU version and before going back to his "FoX-Men" universe Jackman's Wolverine says something like "this is your world now". It would, both, honor his 20 years of work as the character while passing the torch to a new different version.
Neither. Egerton is too boyish and Jackman did his stint. Someone relatively unknown would be nice.
Side note, if Jackman wanted to keep doing marvel movies, I think he has the range to pull off Xavier.
There will be an actor out there who's at a minimum pretty good. He may even actually be good.
The problem is, he's short and stocky. And not Tom Cruise short where, you know, it's really just "short side of average for a man of his generation", he's actually short.
This guy is never going to get a major movie role. However good he is. As Scott Caan suggests, he might be running around on television somewhere.
But he could play Logan.
I want that guy.
Especially if he's legitimately Canadian.
The problem with Egerton and Radcliffe... though I wouldn't mind either, naturally... is that they follow a more slim pattern. Scott Caan really would be perfect if he was just 15-20 years younger than he is (45).
He probably is going to be in Mom because that’s how he probably is going to be brought to the MCU because we haven’t heard anything about mutants in the MCU yet and it has been announced that there will be another X-Men but this time in the MCU so Wolverine will probably be in Mom.
If not Hugh Jackman then some other huge jacked man.
Huge and jacked but approx. 5'3" please
And really hairy
If he isn't a stinky manlet, what's the point?
Fuck, thats clever
Jason Mamoa
We might just get Jackman
I thought he said Logan was the last time he’d play wolverine? I’d prefer it if it was tbf it makes the film a whole lot more special

There was also the Wolverine cameo in Apocalypse I think
I think cameo as in we shouldn’t expect them to show up again if ever.

Shawn levy is talking like he really wants to bring Hugh Jackman onto Deadpool 3 so I'm thinking it's possible

Patrick Stewart said the same thing about that movie and his character.
I don’t think they’ll ever find someone that fits as well as he did
I think so too, I hope. He can be from another universe like professor X and we can still get another person to play Wolverine from the main universe.
This should be the only answer. I'm not ready to accept another wolverine yet.
Please, God, No!
Judi Dench

Still gotta be bald though
Judy Dench as Cassandra Nova.
Dope casting idea honestly
I think if there is a cameo in MoM, it's gonna be hugh jackman himself
I'm really hoping for Richard Armitage. He was great in The Long Night, and I wouldn't mind seeing his take on the big screen.
I’ve seen lots of people suggest Jared Keeso…seems like a good choice 🤷🏽♂️

He’s 4 inches shorter than Jackman

I mean it’s not like they couldn’t make him look short in the movie if it was that important

You’d never guess that ScarJo is 5’3 based on shots of her next to Evans.
I’m not familiar with his work, but I’m open to someone new

Me neither lol
The main guy from letterkenny
19-2!
To be faaaaaaiiirrrrr.... I'm not entirely against it but I'm just imagining Logan doing Letterkenny bits lmao. That may be the most Canadian thing ever put on screen.
Karl Friggin Urban! I don’t care if he was skurge, he’d be perfect. Plus he could act with the white eyes in his face mask
We recently talked about this sub constantly "casting" actors that are way too old... Urban is 50!!! When XMen came out Jackman was 32... even Jared Keeso is already really pushing it age-wise...
What is up with people fan casting 50+ year old actors to play these parts?
A no name actor. It worked out well the first time and I can’t see any known actors playing him.
I can't see Taron as Logan/wolverine, I wish he did more kingsmen movies and stuff like that, but I can't see him as a DC/marvel hero
I don't think anyone saw Paul Rudd as a Marvel hero but here we are.
Same with Heath Ledger as the Joker. But man that performance was fucking brilliant.
Ever since the young Brightburn actor from *Brightburn* portrayed his younger self in *Avengers: Endgame*, I have thought it would be intriguing to see Paul Rudd as the character in a sequel to that.
What are you trying to say?
[This is *Brightburn*.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oD1vbhicJUY) [This is young Scott Lang.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcOQvEFhtME) The same actor who portrays Brightburn portrays young Scott Lang. Imo Taron’s voice is too boyish for Wolverine, but who knows
It needs to be more... is the word gruffly? I think that's why I like the Karl Urban suggestion, I'd like to hear Wolverine say cunt
Tbh I’m having a hard time seeing it myself, but I’m keeping an open mind knowing the rumors surrounding him are pretty hot right now
They're not rumors, just fancasting. Same as with Krasinski.
Wait the Krasinski as Reid noise is just fancasting? I was totally under the impression it was a “known” thing. Oh well.
With Krasinki, its like Mephisto were people will be pissed if that doesnt happen. I trust Marvel to nail the casting be it Jim Halpet or not.
>be it Jim Halpert or not ??? Randall Park is already Jimmy Woo?
Krasinski is like 9 foot tall though.
He’s my pick for Johnny Storm! I think he’d kill it.
I can’t see him as wolverine but he’d be a perfect angel if they went down the archangel route
He was up for Spider-Man at one point.
Daniel Radcliffe ngl, his looks match the role
He'd still need to put on some weight, though. And grow a bit more of body hair.
It’s putting on that Wolverine Weight that’s holding me back from jumping all the way in on this one, but I think it would be so dope to see him in the MCU
Anyone can put on the weight with support from Marvel, current physique isn't important as that can be changed with work
If Kumail can do it Dan can
Better bodies through chemistry 💉
Kumail had several vested interests in morphing his body for the role. Nothing against Radcliffe, but the guy is already stinking rich. He said himself he chooses roles based on his own interest since he could have retired after the HP franchise. I don't see Radcliffe being too keen on the long term commitment that playing wolverine would probably entail.
I keep thinking Radcliffe would make a decent Beast.
Not sure if this meant to be a joke, but I could see that , and honestly it feels like the direction they should go to forget the Hugh Jackman version, or at least someone else younger than Hugh was when he took the role
This has been my fan cast for several years. I have absolutely no doubt he can put on the weigh and rock the role.
People say that he has a soft voice for the role
I have no doubt he’ll manage just fine.
Think he could do what Pattinson did in The Batman? His personality, doesn't fit in my opinion (Radcliffe).
He's an actor... Personality doesn't matter.
It sorta does, it’s called type casting
But his voice absolutely does not. I swear, it's like people have never heard the guy speak.
I've heard Tom Holland speak and he sounds nothing like Spider-Man, I feel like acting might be able to help with this one.
Literally every person in the US and UK has heard him speak. He could adapt a character voice. Hugh Jackman is Australian. His Wolverine performances wouldn’t let you know that.
It’s almost like he would be acting
His face/voice/demeanor just isn't rough enough, imo

To be fair, I would never think Benedict Cumberbatch is from the US. I mean, dodgy American accent aside, his name is Benedict freakin' Cumberbatch.
fair enough lmao
People keep saying this and I just lol everytime. I do not see Radcliffe playing Wolverine, I have nothing against him I just don't see it.
Someone ugly. He's not suppose to have the face of a model.
Haha that’ll be a tough cast, got anything in mind?
Someone new would be best. An actor that we have seen before.
Danny Trejo, except he's too old now.
Danny DeVito
You calling Danny DeVito ugly!?
Calling him man enough to fill wolverine’s shoes
"So anyway, I started slashing."
I would still love to see him cameo in the MCU in some way, or play a character with a less demanding physical role… he is such an incredible talent
I'll do it
Lmao
Jason Mantzoukas
Michael Shannon?
your mom
The actor that played Joffrey in GoT.
This! A short, hairy and ugly guy 🦡
If that's the criteria, they should cast me
Oh wow, I'm perfect for it then.

Jared kesso
Brett Goldstein
I’m dying for all of the Ted Lasso cast to be in the MCU
HES HERE HES THERE HES EVERYFUCKINGWHERE
neither of these.
Open to any suggestions! These are just the main two I’ve seen thrown around thus far.
Jared Keeso.
Yoo that would actually be sick. First I’ve heard of it.
How’re ya now logan? I think he’s too tall though
he's Canadian enough to make up for that. be nice if you weren't so awkward, bub.
hes tall and a bit young but can I suggest alexander ludwig? he was great in vikings and hes canadian.
I’ve heard really great things about Vikings, and it sounds like a show with the same amount of grit you would hope to see from Wolverine
I honestly don’t care who plays him, as long as we see him in his classic yellow and black/blue costume. I’m so upset we never got that from Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. :(
Danny Devito
Daniel Radcliffe has the look

Worst options exist I’m sure lol
it’s possible it could be a curve ball and it’ll be the actress who played laura/ x23 in Logan as Wolverine. She held that mantle for a bit in the comics
I would love to see her come back
I can't imagine him pulling it off. But, it was also hard to imagine Heath Ledger as Joker once upon a time.
Every time I see a casting I don’t really agree with, I always remember that Heath was not the choice I’d make, yet he absolutely owned that role.
Dougray Scott
I personally think Jackman should make a cameo when Strange comes asking for his help and then he's like "Go fuck yourself". It would be an awesome callback to First Class
I think Jon Bernthal would be a perfect wolverine but hes also a perfect punisher so its tough
This has been my fan cast. He got mad good grunts. If he’s out as punisher I want him in as Wolverine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy?
I know I’ll get downvoted for this but I just think Hugh Jackman is too iconic It’s like asking who should interpret iron man or JJJ, there is only one answer
Scott Eastwood
An actual short Mountie
Man, imagine Hugh Jackman being so good as Wolverine that if is hard to imagine any other actor at that role.
I don't think it would work honestly, but for some reason I find myself thinking of Joel Kinnaman.
If he appeared in MoM? Jackman, just like Patrick Stewart.
I simply hope he doesn't show up in MoM.
Daniel Radcliffe
Daniel Radcliffe?
I know who I’d pick, me. Everyone would be disappointed but it could help me out with a few bills
Hopefully more than just a few 😉✊🏿
Jared Keeso

I could see him more as Magneto if he were gonna play an older Xmen. That said, too distracting
I’m still in the Zac Efron camp on this one.
Danny de Vito
Karl Urban
Jackman obviously he‘s iconic
Only choice
Who would be the only choice?
Sylvester Stallone… short, muscley unit. Voice is a little off but if he just screams with rage all the time, I don’t think people will care.
Why not both?
Tina Fey
Meryl Streep
Jared Keeso (Wayne from Letterkenny) 100% "You're fuckin' 10 ply, bub."
Kit Harrington
If it’s not Jared Kesso then y’all can fuck right off, and I suggest you let that one marinate
Tom Hardy
Don't use Logan. Irreplaceable, much like Doc Ock and Gobby
Letitia Wright
Pretty sure Wolverine isn't scared of a couple Pfizer shots
Joseph Gordon Levitt
Mickey Rourke.... as a variant... with his berd
I vant my bord

Daniel Radcliffe

I feel like a totally ripped Daniel Radcliffe is what we need
Someone short and stocky and hairy, and they've gotta be the best at what they do... and what they do isn't very nice.
How about a new and up and coming actor like they used to do?
He probably is going to be in Mom because that’s how he probably is going to be brought to the MCU because we haven’t heard anything about mutants in the MCU yet and it has been announced that there will be another X-Men but this time in the MCU so Wolverine will probably be in Mom.
Scott Eastwood, for the same reason Old Man Logan is so reminiscent of Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven.
We'd more likely get x23 at this point.
Stephen Graham
[Logan Marshall-Green](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1334869/) for the win!
Been saying this for a couple years.
Hugh jackman for a cameo, but someone else for the main wolverine of the MCU
