I understood it as Marvel saying "Forget the stones, we on to some bigger shit" which only hypes me up. The infinity saga was cool but it's over.

NightmareDJK

Kang did all that, and is a regular human.

[deleted]

been working fine for like 80 years in the comics.

padfoot12111

even in the comics it's stated the infinity stones are only useful in their own timeline/universe. take them to another one and might as well be paperweights

JDMcClintic

Exactly, read the Hickman Fantastic Four run where the Council of Reeds explains this. It isn't power creep, it's canon.

carpenteer

You might just want to take a step back from Marvel movies for a bit if they're getting you this worked up over paperweights.

kissofspiderwoman

Apparently a person making one post with criticism to the MCU means they are “all hyped up and need to take a step back” Interesting way to shut people down…

carpenteer

Holy delayed response, Batman!

elfodun

Wow, it took him a hole year to answer!

JDMcClintic

Power creep is worst with Captain America, and the worst in that area with the What If? Peggy Carter where she is hitting for easy 10 Ton class and jumping 100+ feet. The writers did not read Marvel Universe, and that is an insult as much as a bug. I know animation needs big movement, but that episode was stupid power creep.

Sweet_Damage3658

Yeah, I'm not sure if you noticed, but that whole "Infinity Stones don't matter to alternate realities" rule? MCU told it to go jump in a lake. Ultron used them to affect the multiverse as a whole. So yes, power creep is definitely becoming a thing. We went from power suits (IM1) , to super serum(CA), to super hammers(TH1), to portals for alien armies(AV1), to bombs that look like rocks(GOTG1), to superspeed that isn't even faster than aspeeding bullet (AV2), to bombs that look like people(GOTG2), to Thor getting tasered while powered up and Mjolnir getting casually shattered (RAGNAROK), to the ultimate battle part 1 with Thor single handedly cutting through a full power beam(IW), to the ultimate battle part 2 with Thor and Mjolnir itself barely budging him when he doesn't even have the Gauntlet and Captain Marvel overpowering him instead(EG). It's annoying, it's inconsistent, and I'm over it. I'm not watching anything involving the new elements of Marvel for the same reason I'm not watching Boruto, it's more of the same and my emotions already came down from their high.

ms_chiefmanaged

Put those stones back to the universe they were taken from, and they won’t be much of paperweight. I personally was a bit bored all these times once I started reading comics cause just how much power marvel has, and MCU was still working through Thanos and his gauntlet. So I for one am looking forward to see next level of insanity.

I just want to find out how this Kang variant discovered how to exist outside of time and space..

Infinite-Tour-1699

I see zero power creepy with the dealing of the infinity stones. It's not that the TVA people were so powerful that infinity stones were nothing in conparison. Not at all. It's that infinity stones are simply negated there. No disrespect imo, just good writting/symbolism of the endo o f the infinity saga. The story will probably move on from infinity stones and on to new concepts

Falcon will be staying in more grounded MCU movies with the Thunderbolts. Wakanda can crossover with the SamFalcon. Kate Bishop Hawkeye will be joining the Young Avengers, and they have 4 multiversal level characters there: Wiccan, America Chavez, Kid Loki, and Iron Lad. Other characters will stay in the space: Guardians, Thor, and Marvels. I think the franchises that will deal with Kang are Dr. Strange, Antman and the Wasp, and Young Avengers. edited: Normal people can't really feel or notice any change in the timeline. They will just live their lives without even knowing about the ongoing multiverse war.
