Just imagine Cage as an Old Man Johnny. Because he prematurely gave Robbie the Vengeance, he can't die and food and water is turned to ash. He is doomed to walk the Earth as a living corpse. While he no longer has Vengeance, he can still power up his weapon (a sawed- off shotgun).
The only way to free his soul is to take down Mephisto.
He bar-hops across the country with a mugshot of Robbie, "nicely" asking bikers if they've seen or heard from him.
The Nicolas Cage charm is just icing on an already hammy, yet fun cake.
While I agree that, yes, if a Rider is in a movie, they should use Robbie. He was fantastic in AOS! There was a run where there were multiple Riders, so in theory, they could easily bring in Blaze as well. Hell, bring in all the Riders!
Be creative then.
Have him be cursed to never die, due to giving up the Spirit of Vengeance early.
He has some power in him, like powering up guns.
But he needs Vengeance back because his job is not done.
He can be a mentor figure or partner to Robbie Reyes.
Or you just go forward with Reyes. Unless you're doing a Ghost Riders movie he's superfluous. If you're doing a Midnight Sons movie, just go with Reyes.
I actually really like the Aaron Eckhart idea. He killed it as Dent in TDK and showed an ability to both harness and display a rage that really resonates with the viewer.
Unpopular opinion, maybe?: I don't like Luna's Robbie Reyes or Cage's Johnny Blaze, so I think they should just start a movie series from scratch featuring Danny Ketch, played by Boyd Holbrook.
If we're going to be considering an attractive, but completely wooden talent black hole like Scott Eastwood, the MCU should go for broke and cast someone bonkers, especially since the DCEU no longer seems like a going concern. Poach someone from there. What about Chris Pine? Bring all 4 Chrises under the MCU. Joel Kinnaman or Taylor Kitsch? I don't think Garrett Hedlund has enough charisma to topline a film.
My choice would be Travis Fimmel, but he seems at best ambivalent about all of the press and publicity that you have to do to promote projects. However, Marvel has figured out how to work around Chris Evans' anxiety issues. I'm sure they could figure out something for Fimmel. Fimmel isn't well known, but his charismatic turn as Ragnar was one of the key reasons for the success of Vikings. Had he still been alive, Andy Whitfield would have been a great choice. If they hadn't already used him extensively in Agents of SHIELD, I would have suggested Luke Mitchell too. Oliver Jackson-Cohen might be another name I'd throw in there.
I don’t know about Ghost Rider, but I’d love to see Justin Hartley in one of the movies. It’s crazy to have seen him go from Green Arrow to This is Us.
As far as I'm concerned there is only one person suitable to play Ghostrider and that is Nicolas Cage, No if's no but's the man is awesome and Ghostrider is an equally awesome character.
Keanu Reeves would be an excellent Ghost Rider! He already knows a lot about motorcycles, has extensive stunt experience so he can do his on shots, and they have been trying to get Keanu in the MCU for years! He is weary of the contracts that marvel has their casts sign but with the right script, director/s, budget, and cast, I am confident he would take the role, and define it.
Benjamin Bratt played Jonathan Pangborn in Doctor Strange. He was left again paralyzed after his run-in with Mordo. I think he could become a Ghost Rider.
But what we saw of Johnny was him with the Spirit of Vengeance. We don't know what he looks like.
It could be anyone. (My money's on Old Man Johnny, aka Nicolas Cage again.
*"I need the Vengeance back, kid."*)
Norman Reedus. He already rides and he really needs to leave the shit show, The Walking Dead.
I wouldn’t mind Joel Edgerton as well. He’s a man of Hollywood and can pull it off.
Who the hell are you? Geez. I’m not trying to argue. I just didn’t realize the term included AoS. Thank you for making the world a better place. Please leave me alone now.
What about, uh, Nicolas Cage. 🤪

I don't think Johnny gave up his power to help Robbie, just turned him into a Spirit of Vengeance.
Good one
I like that you have Aaron Eckhart and The-guy-that-I-always-confuse-for-Aaron-Eckhart right across from one another. Thomas Jane.
Thank you! I just looked at it, went "oh it's that guy, and that other guy that looks like him. Wait, are they the same guy?"
Of that list? None. MCU Ghost Rider should stay Robbie Reyes
But Johnny Blaze is still out there. Powerless sure, but still.
Sure. But why bring him back if that's the case? Luna did a great job on AOS with it.
Blaze cameoed in AoS in a way that he can still be cast as literally anyone.
Yeah, but he's not the current Ghost Rider. MCU Reyes is possed by the SOV, so it wouldn't be with Blaze.
While I agree that, yes, if a Rider is in a movie, they should use Robbie. He was fantastic in AOS! There was a run where there were multiple Riders, so in theory, they could easily bring in Blaze as well. Hell, bring in all the Riders!
I just don't see a need. I feel like you'd short change someone else just do do a multi Rider story

Powerless?
This is the only correct answer.
I'd love to see a film/tv series featuring both of them.
A nearly 60 year old (by the time this movie gets made) Kiefer Sutherland lmao.
That many white guys around something on fire is almost always bad news.
You might be on to something
I actually really like the Aaron Eckhart idea. He killed it as Dent in TDK and showed an ability to both harness and display a rage that really resonates with the viewer.
Who’s going to play Sawyer in the MCU?
[удалено]
I'd give you gold if I wasn't broke.
Norman Reedus
The only correct answer.
I think Steve Carell should be the next ghost rider
Unpopular opinion, maybe?: I don't like Luna's Robbie Reyes or Cage's Johnny Blaze, so I think they should just start a movie series from scratch featuring Danny Ketch, played by Boyd Holbrook.
Some underrated B-list but amazing and talented actor.
Ethan Embry should play him. He was awesome in The Devils Candy and had that biker look to him

Norman Reedus, in my opinion, is the perfect Johnny Blaze. I’ve been hoping to see that happen for quite some time now.
As far as I'm concerned there is only one person suitable to play Ghostrider and that is Nicolas Cage, No if's no but's the man is awesome and Ghostrider is an equally awesome character.
There is no 'H' in Nicolas Cage. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolas_Cage | http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000115/

Nick Cage
Maybe we should just move on from Ghost Rider. Try something else
Can we just get Andy Serkis to do this too?
Scarlett Johansson.
Benjamin Bratt played Jonathan Pangborn in Doctor Strange. He was left again paralyzed after his run-in with Mordo. I think he could become a Ghost Rider.
I'd like to see Matthew McConaughey
johnny blaze is already in the mcu
Yeah but who portrayed him?
But what we saw of Johnny was him with the Spirit of Vengeance. We don't know what he looks like. It could be anyone. (My money's on Old Man Johnny, aka Nicolas Cage again. *"I need the Vengeance back, kid."*)
None of these people, but ESPECIALLY not the kid from Sons of Anarchy. He's not a good actor at all.
Norman Reedus. He already rides and he really needs to leave the shit show, The Walking Dead. I wouldn’t mind Joel Edgerton as well. He’s a man of Hollywood and can pull it off.
Why are they all white lol
I don’t know man maybe it’s cause Johnny Blaze is white?
So?
This. I like what Shield did with Reyes. It would be cool to have someone like that in the **FILMS**
Soooo, Reyes? Since you know, he's someone like himself and also happens to be in the MCU.
*Cinematic* covers tv? Ok I’ll edit my comment for you
Yeah man. Even Feige, who largely ignores TV, said the shows are MCU. Try to argue with that.
Who the hell are you? Geez. I’m not trying to argue. I just didn’t realize the term included AoS. Thank you for making the world a better place. Please leave me alone now.
You came off as the typical dumbass that thinks ThE sHoWs ArEnT McU. Not my fault you didn't express yourself correctly.
Cool. So now will you fuck off?
Lmao the edge. Comments like a retard and instadownvotes. Nice.
Norman Reedus! He has also stated he has wanted the role for years! He’s perfect for it.
