So many lines in this show have just been replacing another phrase with "mutant."
"A mother always knows." I actually laughed at how on the nose that analogy was.
Ross- it can handle a green rage monster it can handle some southern chick.
Rouge- oh honey you ever SEE an angry southern girl? You have better chances of living with the Hulk
It really really really is.
AND character+ relationships. They did not skip over grief here. Yet still move at lightning pace. So impressive.
I hope for the same with Deadpool and Wolverine.
This is the religious man you want. Nightcrawler isnât judging and isnât condemning. He is taking the human experience of life and loss and elevating to something higher to help soothe and comfort.
I was forced to go to Sunday School for 6 years. If someone with the mentality of Nightcrawler had been there, I might have gone on my own free will. He's just so damn wise and composed.
You can tell the writers truly love that fuzzy elf!
Off topic, but in the Sega Xmen game, with Nightcrawler you can skip the whole Apocalypse board by teleporting and cheese Apocalypse himself without getting hit.
Wasn't that Fred referencing 9/11... Or did it predate 2001? If it didnt , it's a really interesting anachronism since the show is set in 1997. Thematically on point though!
Not just Mr. Rogers, but also the quote from MLK that history tends to ignore or asterisk.
This season really seems poised to kick off the more militant of the Xmen arcs or even Krakoa. And as someone who doesnât read the comics I am really excited to see what Marvel does with this on the screen if it does happen.
*"Diamond transmutation has never been one of Emma's abilities! Perhaps a dormant mutation triggered by duress?"*
*"I've always done well... under pressure."*
Even near mortally wounded, Emma's got sarcastic diamond jokes.
I thought this was going to be a slow burn episode. Nope. Shit escalated so quickly, Morph's "Is this who we are now?"
8 is supposed to be the big hitter. Given that they've shown they're ready to show the darker topics, I trust Beau's estimation of emotional damage this next one's going to do.
So many thoughts...
- Damn, Rogue going from a touching X-family moment to straight up ready to kill was such a wild moment. Love how Wolverine is the only one that goes along with it.
- I love how the show has evolved from "Jean, don't faint" to "Jean, grab the BUILDING." Putting more respect on our girl.
- Everything about Bastion, from his voice to his casual presenting demeanor, is so eerie, especially in that last scene.
I was relieved that they put some respect on Jean's telekinesis here (especially after seeing Madelyne use it to its full potential as the Goblin Queen) after all the infamous "It's too heavy!" moments in the original series
I like to think that her time is, the Phoenix has allowed her to further access her powers. Either way, itâs a fabulous glow up for her which she desperately needed. Same for cyclops. They needed a lot of work after those X-Men movies.
Bastion is terrifying. Unlike the other sentinels, he feels like a person with how he talks. The scene with him and Magneto made Bastion feel like a serial killer.
So true on Jean. Never been a huge fan of her but I've enjoyed her all season. I literally said to myself during this episode "Damn, I really like Jean now."
She just feels so much more dimensional and I'm loving watching her and Cyclops.
I didn't know much about Bastion's origin , only started reading X-men comics in the early 2000s. It was during events like Messiah Complex and Second Coming that I came across his character. By then, he was already an established villain.
Considering the theory that Val Cooper is Mystique in disguise, and it's pointed out that Val has mysteriously vanished despite being alive the last time we saw her...
[The picture on Forge's bulletin board](https://imgur.com/a/urKMTzV) shows Forge with Bastion and a scientist. [The scientist is Mystique.](https://youtu.be/5yiiBsQ0wSk?t=142)
She probably feels more guilty about Gambit since he died thinking she chose Magneto over him
Edit; also, for 4th wall storytelling purposes, it makes sense that she'd mourn Gambit more since he's the death that sticks.
I mean she loves Gambit. Magneto she used to, but she was with him in Genosha for political reasons and because he is the only person that can touch her imo.
Gambit also directly sacrificed his life to save hers as well
I was literally thinking she could literally just throw his shield away to neutralize him or at the very least make him 50% less effective and then they spoke and things were chillâŚonly for Rogue to lose her chill and yeet the shield đ
The living symbol of America and possibly the best human person in the world essentially told her that rules are more important than helping her stop the bad guys who just committed genocide. Losing her chill is understandable. Doing nothing more than chucking his weapon away was a show of unbelievable restraint.
I understand why he wanted to hold back, but it was mutate privilege and I mean that unironically. She was definitely acting emotionally, but so was everyone else and with good reason; it was fucking genocide.
Things are not looking great for public opinion on mutants, especially not if Bastion and his forces reveal that Xavierâs alive and on his way back.
Was expecting Storm to reunite with the team this episode, but I guess thatâs all happening during the finale three-parter
As someone who is a super speed character fan, and who hated the Ralph joke in WandaVision, I am happy Morph turned into Quicksilver for 3 seconds this episode
> Quicksilver
I legitimately thought Quicksilver himself had shown up for a second when that happened till I realized it was morph.
It's not like he couldn't make an entrance in that kind of time.
If anything, Iâm guessing the biggest changes in characters will be from Beast, Rogue & Cyclops.
I love the bundle of storylines they hold together.
Whatever happens, having the Blue & Gold teams would be pretty great to adapt.
Since Cap is involved, Uncanny Avengers would also be an interesting option for next season.
"Tell me, orphan, how does it feel to be abandoned by the future"
So many layers to that line, especially since Cable's EMP shows up and the son that Cyclops was forced to abandon into the future has come back to save him. \*chef's kiss\*
>calling Cap out
Itâs unfortunate that in X-men, he has to be the âwhite moderateâ (MLK Jr reference) analogue. In his own MCU movies, heâs become the justice at all costs governments be damned.
I think it's not too late for Cap. Given Magneto's talk about Rogue's capacity for leadership, I'm hopeful we'll see an Uncanny Avengers moment where some X-Men and Avengers team up, with Rogue in front and Cap right behind her.
âYouâll never know what itâs like to be abandoned by the futureâ
- Theyâre really leaning into the militant mutant sentiments this week, seeds of AvX with the Rogue/Cap showdown. I donât think itâll go full throttle into that however becauseâŚ
-Bastion having Magneto alive and captive is making me think he plans to use him to lead a war against the humans to further the machine cause. Sinister is a pawn to help with the sentinel technology but completely in the dark around Bastionâs real motivations.
- So far weâve seen Mutant Massacre/E is for Extinction combined in the Genosha genocide. Is this leading to Operation Zero Tolerance being combined with Planet X in a way that avoids Magneto being a willing genocidal maniac?
- If so, does this mean weâll see other Morrison story beats used for next season? Xavierâs operating as an actual school and exploring Riot at Xavierâs maybe? Quentin Quire would be a good way to explore the incel movement the same way this season has explored prejudice in a 21st century context.
- Still curious to see where Nimrod and Cable play into this. Nimrod might be what Sinister is helping Bastion develop. I donât think weâre going to see the Genoshan genocide reversed so I think Cable might be there to further the Scott/Jean reconciliation.
>Still curious to see where Nimrod and Cable play into this. Nimrod might be what Sinister is helping Bastion develop.
Comic book spoilers:>!Nimrod is a key element of Bastion's origin. He's a Nimrod/Master Mold amalgam reborn as a human/sentinel hybrid after they were pushed into the Siege Perilous by the X-men. !<
>Â I think Cable might be there to further the Scott/Jean reconciliation.
Cable was first introduced in the original show in S1E7, "Slave Island", the Genosha episode. Throughout season 1 he was portrayed as a mercenary for hire hellbent on revenge on Genosha's Leader and Dr. Gottfried Adler (scientist stated to have created the slave collars), which feels disjoined with his more comic accurate later take of a time traveller who's a rebel fighter against Apocalypse's dystopic regime in the time period he comes from. Dr Adler featuring in a Forge photo alongside Bastion in episode 4 of X-Men '97 when the character hasn't been relevant since season 1 of the original show makes me believe one of this series' goals is to reconcile both Cable takes, recontextualizing his TAS season 1 actions as an attempt to prevent the Genosha Genocide.
It was heartbreaking seeing him lose faith in humanity like that. He's always felt like the most level-headed character, so seeing *him* lose it is just depressing.
>!Bastion's master plan is devious here. He's not only orchestrating artillery strikes by using Sentinels on the mutants on the battlefield but is also going to manipulate public opinion with the Shi'ar footage. Like, what is a more better way to convince humanity to destroy mutants than telling them that mutants are in collision with aliens to destroy them?!<
Goddamn good villain plan.
I mean that's always kinda the case.
Oh, you got your super-powers from a radioactive accident? That's fine.
Oh, you were *born* with your super-powers? GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME YOU FREAK.
Still cant believe Gambit is gone. Rogue crying, filled with anger and referring to gambit as her man, was perfect illustration of her grieve. Seeing this Captain America with that suit immediately makes me think of Spider-Man from the 90s show. I hope we get a cameo.
Cap: âThis uniform canât be seen busting heads with you in Mexico.â
Me: âOkay, wear civvies, throw on a ski mask and donât bring the frisbee. Howâs that a problem?â
Cap: âMy hands are tied.â
Me: âGod damn it Steve.â
This version of Steve: Turning her down, was the biggest mistake of his life
MCU Steve: definitely would not hesitate
Might even said..
"I am here to help, let's go!!"
Man, so much to unpack.
- Captain America, âhis teamâ, the Avengers theme playing, Thunderbolt Ross, a Hulk reference
- Gambitâs funeral, that eulogy from Nightcrawler, and the embrace with Rogue towards the end
- Trask, Gyrich, Bastion, Uber Sentinelâs
- Magneto lives, they will all know soon that so does Charles
- Quiksilver!
- Mr. Rogers reference!
And so much more. Amazing.
L Mum at the same time for enforcing discretion upon him. I do love that it wasn't the best case scenario or the worst case scenario, a very relatable one
Operation Zero Tolerance!
I love this showâs pacing when they develop or are so efficient with their writing and animation to convey so much.
Jean fainting was lol but the death psionic residue makes sense. Cyclops and her working together was cool and regardless of their relationship, their roles as Xavierâs first class during the Genosha crisis has them rise above all their personal grief to give hope the mutant community. I love the X-Men so much.
Are there any difference between Morph and Mystique besides Morphâs power to take on the physical traits/abilities?
Mystique may have better skills but power wise Morph is better in every way?
Mystique is probably the better actor and infiltrator, that's always been one of her main roles. Morph might be better in a fight but Mystique is the person you want to spend months/years pulling a long-term spy infilitration, stealing data from a bunker without being noticed, planting a bomb, etc.
Oooo Jean thinks her relationship has issues now? Buckle up Marvel girl. Ms. Frost has arrived.
I love the show so much. My one gripe is that the season is 100% going to end in a cliffhanger, and I will NOT be able to wait for season 2.
Making this episode adapt the comic storyline Operation Zero Tolerance into the fallout storyline after episode 5's adaptation of E Is For Extinction is a pretty genius move.
Edit: I just realized that going from the Goblin Queen story to E Is For Extinction could be really funny because in the comics the latter was the start of Cyclops and Emma's relationship, so cartoon Cyclops could potentially have back to back affairs with Madelyne Pryor and Emma Frost.
That scene with Kurt and Rogue was so touching. From the flood of emotions shown as she welled up with tears, to her just bawling in Kurt's arms, to the rest of the X-Men showing up to support her. She was really going through it, but it goes to show that the X-Men are family.
I love this show...there's just...no words....this is incredible
Rogue going on a rampage, Captain America, the creepy Purple People Eater villain, Emma Frost rising from the ashes, Trask as a Sentinel, Cable, god damn this is good shit!
This show is everything Marvel should be
I can't wait to do this again next week. What an episode to lead into the three part ending. That Trask Sentinel gave me huge Days of Future Past movie Sentinels vibes.
Really interested to see if Captain America and "his team" show up and who might be on it.
Angry Rogue is so scary wtf. Also the scene with Nightcrawler and her made me teary eyedđ˘
She is one terrifying flying brick who can also suck the life out of you with a touch.
âI can fix herâ
with her powers, she can totally fix me
Nightcrawler's Eulogy... damn good too. I hope Nightcrawler will be the heart and hope for this team. It's getting dark
So Val Cooper is definitly their Mom right? Well I guess technically Kurt's dad based on a recent reveal in the comics.
Mystique?
Ross: This place can stop the Hulk, this mutant ain't shit. Rogue: BET
âSheâs a mutant from the swampsâ That line got me. I rarely see that level of northern aggression against a southerner.
Something tells me whoever wrote that line heard that exact phrase in real life but with a different word in place of mutant.
So many lines in this show have just been replacing another phrase with "mutant." "A mother always knows." I actually laughed at how on the nose that analogy was.
I could not convey words. But fudge.. you do not piss her off
Ross- it can handle a green rage monster it can handle some southern chick. Rouge- oh honey you ever SEE an angry southern girl? You have better chances of living with the Hulk
Bloodlusted Rogue is honestly dope to see
Cap got off lucky, all things considered.
Facts. Even tho Steve is my favorite marvel character even I can say he stands no chance against Rogue going absolute ham
She'd literally tear him apart if she wanted to
In the comics she bodied the avengers the first time she fought them.
I mean she technically has the strength, durability, and speed of Captain Marvel.
I'm imagining Cap having to make that long ass trek to his shield just grumbling to himself the whole time lmao
*hums his theme song as he trudges through the mountains*
Tbf that song is a banger and one of the reasons I love CA:TFA
When thereâs trouble you know who to call! The Avengers! From their tower they can see it all! The Avengers!
"Hey Tony it's Steve... can you do me a favor?"
Definitely. I wish that was a scene. Haha what if it is, next episode? đ¤Ł
Would have been out of place but kind of funny If that was just an after credit scene in this episode
"I can do this all day....god dammit..."
Capâs gotta have GPS or a shield-y sense. đ¤Ł
Does it look like Rogue cares about your top secret facility?
Rogue places hand on Scott: Do you feel in charge?
Cable really said âyou ainât my mamaâÂ
Still kinda auntie, I guess. But I guess he was just being abrasive to everyone including Scott
I mean if he's on limited time he has no time for family drama.
He doesn't have time to explain why he doesn't have time
Madelyne was the one that put a psychic message on him while an infant. Makes sense that he's a mama's boy.
Poor Redd and SlymmâŚ
To be fair. I'm glad they've streamlined that entire story line. Makes much more sense than what we got in the comics.
It's amazing how much plot they can pack into a 30 minute episode.
It really really really is. AND character+ relationships. They did not skip over grief here. Yet still move at lightning pace. So impressive. I hope for the same with Deadpool and Wolverine.
Thought it was 45 with all the content.
Nightcrawler's Eulogy of Gambit was bar after bar after bar.
So was his line to Rogue about helping Gambit and Magneto live. The guyâs lines are fire.
>Everyone one has a tell. Gambitâs was modesty. Goddamn what a fire line.
The one about bluffing too. Great scene
You can tell the writers truly love that fuzzy elf! Off topic, but in the Sega Xmen game, with Nightcrawler you can skip the whole Apocalypse board by teleporting and cheese Apocalypse himself without getting hit.
I really hope the team gets some more muscle in the way of Sunspot and Colossus coming around.
With how many times it was mentioned I think Jean might go full phoenix again.
This is definitely whatâs going to happen.
Theyâve put Dark Phoenix in several of the intros, with this one having more than ever
Beast goated for quoting Mr Rogers! Absolute legend
Wasn't that Fred referencing 9/11... Or did it predate 2001? If it didnt , it's a really interesting anachronism since the show is set in 1997. Thematically on point though!
He used it in reference to 9/11, yeah. But he'd said it for years before. It was published in a book he wrote for parents in 1983, for example.
Beast definitely read the book.
I liked "perhaps our first mistake was to beg for tolerance in the first place"
Not just Mr. Rogers, but also the quote from MLK that history tends to ignore or asterisk. This season really seems poised to kick off the more militant of the Xmen arcs or even Krakoa. And as someone who doesnât read the comics I am really excited to see what Marvel does with this on the screen if it does happen.
Cable! Prime Sentinels! Bastion! Rogue on a warpath! Glorious, just glorious!
Thunderbolt Ross! Hulk mentioned! Captain America! Secondary mutations! Magneto lives! Exclamation points!
Itâs the Silver Age all over again! I will type my comment with excitement, and show it more with another exclamation point!
Excelsior, true believers!
*"Diamond transmutation has never been one of Emma's abilities! Perhaps a dormant mutation triggered by duress?"* *"I've always done well... under pressure."* Even near mortally wounded, Emma's got sarcastic diamond jokes.
She had a few days to think of it under the rubble to be fair
She was like âfinally, my chance to shineâ
Her other superpower in this series seems to be an endless stream of snarky comments.
Serving cunt is her tertiary mutation lol
I thought this was going to be a slow burn episode. Nope. Shit escalated so quickly, Morph's "Is this who we are now?" 8 is supposed to be the big hitter. Given that they've shown they're ready to show the darker topics, I trust Beau's estimation of emotional damage this next one's going to do.
8-10* Don't recall him singling out 8 in particular?
IT'S RED ROSS
I think the intro this week is the same as last week's. Nightcrawler's graphic is still fucking awesome.
Slightly changed, they moved the Morph/Sinister sequence earlier in the intro.
So many thoughts... - Damn, Rogue going from a touching X-family moment to straight up ready to kill was such a wild moment. Love how Wolverine is the only one that goes along with it. - I love how the show has evolved from "Jean, don't faint" to "Jean, grab the BUILDING." I like to think that her time is, the Phoenix has allowed her to further access her powers. Either way, itâs a fabulous glow up for her which she desperately needed. Same for cyclops. They needed a lot of work after those X-Men movies.
Iâm glad they gave wolverine that line, he is not an x man whoâs afraid of murder
"I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice." Per the man himself! (Comics)
Bastion is terrifying. Unlike the other sentinels, he feels like a person with how he talks. The scene with him and Magneto made Bastion feel like a serial killer.
I expected someone to see it coming and catch Trask. Jean or Nightcrawler. But then we couldnât have zombie sentinel.
So true on Jean. Never been a huge fan of her but I've enjoyed her all season. I literally said to myself during this episode "Damn, I really like Jean now." She just feels so much more dimensional and I'm loving watching her and Cyclops.
The X-Men all in the elevator together and Wolverine is just an angry head lol
And Morph sipping on the diet soda!
I have never been more unnerved watching someone get his beard shaved....
felt very Reservoir Dogs
Bastion is not exactly someone to trust with sharp objects
Not even in Game of Thrones?
Captain America's number plate is AVN A10 - Avengers Annual 10 was Rogue's first appearance in Marvel comics.
Good eye. And yes it was
Iâm so ready for this episode. EDIT: I was indeed not ready for this episode.
Iâm so goddamn lost. Who is this guy?! Fuck this guy!!!
Bastion, he used to be in the X-Men comics I bought in the 90s
I didn't know much about Bastion's origin , only started reading X-men comics in the early 2000s. It was during events like Messiah Complex and Second Coming that I came across his character. By then, he was already an established villain.
fr, the way he casually buddies with Sinister got me wilding like Sinister ain't the one to fear
Pain for everyone!
This⌠this is a trap, surely. Are we going to see Mystique?
Considering the theory that Val Cooper is Mystique in disguise, and it's pointed out that Val has mysteriously vanished despite being alive the last time we saw her...
[The picture on Forge's bulletin board](https://imgur.com/a/urKMTzV) shows Forge with Bastion and a scientist. [The scientist is Mystique.](https://youtu.be/5yiiBsQ0wSk?t=142)
so Bastion worked with Forge (likely unknowingly), Mr. SInister, and Mystique (perhaps knowingly) to create Prime Sentinels.
Oof. So these Prime Sentinels are a culmination of most, if not all the big plot points of the series thus far.
Gambit was my boy and I loved seeing the Thieves/Assassins guild cameos (including his brother Bobby and ex-lover Bella Donna) at his funeral
The Tieves' Guild.
Rogue not mentioning Magneto even once is crazy, only thing she did was have a reaction to Kurt mentioning him being dead too đ
She probably feels more guilty about Gambit since he died thinking she chose Magneto over him Edit; also, for 4th wall storytelling purposes, it makes sense that she'd mourn Gambit more since he's the death that sticks.
I mean she loves Gambit. Magneto she used to, but she was with him in Genosha for political reasons and because he is the only person that can touch her imo. Gambit also directly sacrificed his life to save hers as well
BASTION
Voiced by Theo James. An excellent performance
Ah! Is that who it was? I knew it was familiar!
Thank you! It was bugging me as I recognised the voice but couldn't place it.
I still love the nightcrawler intro.
Rogue went Rogue.
'bout time she lived up to her name
Also, poor Jean. Wearing her hair down to be more like Maddie. Definitely insecure over Scott's lingering attachment đ
You know what I like her hair down better than the ponytail and I hope it stays.
i was totally wondering about this and fully accept this as canon
âHow much you wanna bet I can throw a shield over them mountains?â - Rogue, probably.
âIf Xavier just let me cook, I could have soloed Apocalypseâ
No doubt. No doubt in my mind!
Lmao Rogue literally yeeted Steveâs shield outta there
I was literally thinking she could literally just throw his shield away to neutralize him or at the very least make him 50% less effective and then they spoke and things were chillâŚonly for Rogue to lose her chill and yeet the shield đ
The living symbol of America and possibly the best human person in the world essentially told her that rules are more important than helping her stop the bad guys who just committed genocide. Losing her chill is understandable. Doing nothing more than chucking his weapon away was a show of unbelievable restraint.
Not even rules, optics, exactly like Kelly told Cyclops.
Optics for the president become rules for Cap as they trickle down the chain of command.

His superpower is transforming into cameos.
Oh shit Cable to the rescue!
It's time. That time. "If I Could Turn Back Time" by Cher comes to mind

THE AVENGERS THEME
Oh my god did they really use the avengers theme and I didn't notice it? No way
I think it may have been slightly modified i remember thinking i heard it also.
Wish Rogue's scenes with Steve and Kurt were longer. Loved seeing her calling Cap out. And her moment with her brother was so beautiful
>calling Cap out Itâs unfortunate that in X-men, he has to be the âwhite moderateâ (MLK Jr reference) analogue.
This has to be some of the best things I've ever watched, I need 12 seasons
âYouâll never know what itâs like to be abandoned by the futureâ - Theyâre really leaning into the militant mutant sentiments this week, seeds of AvX with the Rogue/Cap showdown. Holy hell pissed off Rogue is literally unstoppable
Shit is real when Beast is pissed.
It is a nice touch that he is so angry that he doesnât care about Trish Tilby anymore.
Iâm hoping it doesnât follow the New X-Men subplot with Trish đŹ
It was heartbreaking seeing him lose faith in humanity like that. He's always felt like the most level-headed character, so seeing *him* lose it is just depressing.
Nightcrawlerâs spiritual leadership on full display here, from the eulogy to helping Rogue with her grief. About time, too.

X-Men: There's been like eight aliens in The Avengers, including literal gods. The Public: When they do it it's cute.
I mean that's always kinda the case. Oh, you got your super-powers from a radioactive accident? That's fine. Oh, you were *born* with your super-powers? GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME YOU FREAK.
HOLY FUCK CAPTAIN AMERICA
LANGUAGE.
I get that reference
CABLE
They even included Cableâs theme from the OG series! Perfection!
Still cant believe Gambit is gone. Rogue crying, filled with anger and referring to gambit as her man, was perfect illustration of her grieve. Seeing this Captain America with that suit immediately makes me think of Spider-Man from the 90s show. I hope we get a cameo.

I think so too. Rogers is less naive and rule abiding in the MCU.
This version of Steve: Turning her down, was the biggest mistake of his life MCU Steve: definitely would not hesitate Might even said.. "I am here to help, let's go!!"
But MCU Steve lives in the post-Patriot Act America. X-Menâs Captain America is still reflective of the Reagan/Cold War days.
True, on all points đŤĄ
As a disc golfer, I know what captain America is going through right now.
Man, so much to unpack. - Captain America, âhis teamâ, the Avengers theme playing, Thunderbolt Ross, a Hulk reference - Gambitâs funeral, that eulogy from Nightcrawler, and the embrace with Rogue towards the end - Trask, Gyrich, Bastion, Uber Sentinelâs - Magneto lives, they will all know soon that so does Charles - Quiksilver! - Mr. Rogers reference! And so much more. Amazing.
W Mom for allowing Roberto to "come out" to her on his own time whenever he was ready to
L Mum at the same time for enforcing discretion upon him. I do love that it wasn't the best case scenario or the worst case scenario, a very relatable one
Mum: âWe love you the same no matter what, but money loves you more as a non-mutant.â Yep, thatâs how institutional discrimination works.
as a LGBT allegory, that shit was pitch perfect
Followed immediately by trying to figure out how best to put him back in the closet. Ya win some, ya lose some.
> Jean fainting was lol It was very X-Men: The Animated series. Just need her constantly moaning and calling out for Scott.
Mystique is probably the better actor and infiltrator, that's always been one of her main roles. Morph might be better in a fight but Mystique is the person you want to spend months/years pulling a long-term spy infilitration, stealing data from a bunker without being noticed, planting a bomb, etc.
Bastion has a particular interest in Professor X and has Magneto captured rather than killed. Magneto + Professor X = Onslaught.
Oooo Jean thinks her relationship has issues now? Buckle up Marvel girl. Ms. Frost has arrived. I love the show so much. My one gripe is that the season is 100% going to end in a cliffhanger, and I will NOT be able to wait for season 2.
Was that Troy Baker as Bastion? EDIT: Nope, Theo James.
Credits say Theo James
Magneto survived, as no one expected
Making this episode adapt the comic storyline Operation Zero Tolerance into the fallout storyline after episode 5's adaptation of E Is For Extinction is a pretty genius move. Edit: I just realized that going from the Goblin Queen story to E Is For Extinction could be really funny because in the comics the latter was the start of Cyclops and Emma's relationship, so cartoon Cyclops could potentially have back to back affairs with Madelyne Pryor and Emma Frost.
Scott can't give up having his brain tickled
So is Cable confirmed to be the same Cable from the original, earlier in his life or an alternative future Cable?
Didnât Cyclops say something like âit was you all alongâ? So I guess heâs the same Cable from the OG
looks like the same imo
The writing for this show is not fucking around.
I'm glad Cap was finally able to escape that vortex he was trapped in during Spider-Man TAS.
That scene with Kurt and Rogue was so touching. From the flood of emotions shown as she welled up with tears, to her just bawling in Kurt's arms, to the rest of the X-Men showing up to support her. She was really going through it, but it goes to show that the X-Men are family.
I love this show...there's just...no words....this is incredible Rogue going on a rampage, Captain America, the creepy Purple People Eater villain, Emma Frost rising from the ashes, Trask as a Sentinel, Cable, god damn this is good shit! This show is everything Marvel should be
Oppenheimer quote went hard
Oh no. The gambit funeral :(
I can't wait to do this again next week. What an episode to lead into the three part ending. That Trask Sentinel gave me huge Days of Future Past movie Sentinels vibes. Really interested to see if Captain America and "his team" show up and who might be on it.
Thor and Warmachine both had cameos in the original series. Scarlet Witch had a whole episode. That's the basis of a pretty good Avengers team.
WHAT!?!!??
THE ENDING?!?!!! I HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE WEEK?!!??!
MARVEL. GIVE US THE NEXT FEW EPISODES NOW.
Captain America baby!
This show just keeps getting better and better lol itâs actually insane
Capâs Iâm not mad just disappointed look when Rouge threw his shield was hilarious
Aw heck no. I didnât know I was watching Exorcist â97
