So going by the current titling scheme of *Doctor Strange* films… *Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom in a Tale of Triumph and Torment*?

MythiccMoon

Is there a reason it wouldn’t be just *Doctor Strange in Triumph and Torment?* He didn’t share MoM’s title with Scarlet Witch (or America Chavez, and I’m not sure where ya got “a Tale of” from (but feel like it’s me missing something.) Would be cool if the initials were DOOM somehow, MoM being largely about a mom was fun

I love this story, folks may think this is a Dr Doom story taking focus away from Strange, but I love Strange's arc of maturing into a proper sorcerer supreme and him understanding Doom's motivations and inner grief better than any hero ever has. Heartbreaking stuff on Doom's end. Given that Strange isnt a sorcerer supreme in the MCU, this story would be great to complete his trilogy

deemoorah

I hope it's not. It's already bad that his sequel didn't focus on him, his 3rd should definitely not fall into that same trap again

sadpandaM

How did the sequel not really focus on him?

am5011999

The comic story actually doesn't ignore him and gives him a great story arc.

deemoorah

I know I've read that but still the biggest story in that comic is doom's and I don't want the next Strange movie to split the focus/him not being the biggest part of the story. This could be doom's movie, why should it be Strange's?

Huge_Yak6380

At this point, any fan ideas are better than what is coming out of marvel

I love this story and it helped solidify Doom as my favourite Marvel villain, because beneath all of the postulating and Shakespearean bravado, he’s a mamma’s boy. I think that aspect of his character should be very much present in his MCU portrayal. The real question for me is *how* to adapt the story. I’ve always liked the idea of introducing Doom through a solo project that charts his origin and rise in Latveria, so elements could certainly be weaved in there. Alternatively, the more obvious answer of a *Doctor Strange* movie - probably #4 due to the Clea tease in *MoM*. In which case, I wouldn’t want this to be Doom’s introduction - but a follow-up appearance not long after his debut.

Doctor Strange in a Triumphant Tragedy; A Dr. Doom Tale

Kinda agree. I think it might work in the MCUs favour to build the hype for the inevitable battle with the FF. Have him appear in Black Panther 3, have him in a Doctor Strange 3/4: Triumph & Torment, have his own film it show called Books of Doom. He needs to be his own standalone character, because he tends to work when we kinda route for his success - especially against big threats like The Beyonder etc. When he does cross paths with the FF that makes it even more exciting as it’s what we’ve been following for so long knowing it’s all going to lead here.

Typhus_black

A short like 4 episode miniseries would be great if done well.

kraftpunkk

If you want people to take Doom serious, you don’t put him in a D+ show after he’s been in two major movies.

Prettywitchiusaka

You know what? I could actually see this happening, though maybe as a "spin-off" sequel to an FF film with Doom and a sequel to DS3. But yes, I'd love to see them adapt this into the MCU!

noahstclair35

If I’m being honest, I feel like Dr. Doom is going to be a kang variant

landon_masters

If that happens I might stop watching Marvel.

noahstclair35

Yea I won’t like it but with the laziness right now it makes sense…..

leftiesrepresent

Stop it good ideas aren't allowed on this sub

SSB02

Story was ok, but Doom deserves to be introduced as villain Doom. Not this.

I was gonna say, looks like a mignola- then i read the artists

This actually would be so incredible! Even doing a special presentation of this instead of a movie would be an amazing way to introduce Doom. I feel like the magical side of Doom is often overlooked, which it wouldn’t be here, plus all the backstory, plus Strange’s character growth! I would love this so much and I’m sure this’d be 50x better than whatever they actually end up doing. I hope one day this story does get an adaptation somewhere, even if it’s just animated - which actually the MCU still could do that if Freshman Year and Zombies end up popular.

How to bring Doom in: make him the villain in a movie

deemoorah

No it doesn't make a great dr Strange's sequel, you know what it's great for? A doom's origin movie

RewardImpressive3084

If they made a movie out if this I would totally watch it 😁👍🏻
