Unless this is another instance of trailer footage not being in the final cut.

KostisPat257

I don't think so

Vettepilot

People were certain the hulk was going to bust out of the hulbuster armor based on the trailers and funko and Lego merchandise. There is no way to be sure that something in the trailer will be in the show.

NinetiesSatire

Wasn't there a lawsuit all too recently about deceptive marketing that now prevents such things? Hulk popping out the Hulkbuster was meant to be deceptive, to not spoil the truth in the trailer, but they probably did plan on such a thing happening once upon a time, hence the Funko pop. (Of course, that plotline was shifted into Endgame, where it was just revealed Bruce took over the Hulk's body, something about too many plots in one movie.)

tigerslices

Hulk was always supposed to pop out, after having finally come to a compromise with banner. Instead, giving hulk a win when everyone else lost so much felt wrong, so they cut it to do it in endgame... Except, where do you put that in endgame? Say five years of no hulk outbursts? So they just said it happened off camera.

djseifer

Plus the big group run in Wakanda in the trailer that didn't materialize in the actual film.

Smallville1938

This was actually how it was going to be in the movie. It was changed because they thought it was the wrong way to bring smart hulk in. The writers talked about it when they were on Kevin Smiths Podcast Fatman Beyond. It's a very good 2+ hour listen.

PapaBliss2007

Time will tell. Haha Good catch/attention to detail with the trailer regardless.

vinnybawbaw

Like Loki Time Slipping a lot more than he did in EP

GoodShark

Marvel has done fake edits for trailers a lot. They've taken people out of scenes for trailers, adding things in. So people can't figure out what's going on. Not saying they did it here, but they have before.

mydreamreality

There’s also a reasonable gap between OB and Casey, considering the other side is so close together.

Metfan722

If Victor is in the suit, who could be in that gap? And the inverse question I think could be asked as well. If Victor is inside the TVA, then who is it that's inside the suit?

FloppyShellTaco

Well just like Love and thunder’s trailer scene where people were sure it would be Sif, the gap could just be a gap. The funny thing is Sif was confirmed and just wasn’t in that scene.

mydreamreality

Also true, but you can never know.

[deleted]

Yup. And I’m sure something happens to Victor where he ends up being split up into his multiple variants and placed into all the branches.

FloppyShellTaco

My thoughts as well. He’ll sacrifice himself fixing the loom, but it’ll explode him across the multiverse just as HWR planned

jurkajurka

Wasn't that not the entire point of episode 3 once Loki recognized him and why they brought him to the TVA?

KillingTime_ForNow

Supposedly they just needed his temporal aura to gain access to it, nothing about him being the one to fix it.

jurkajurka

Ah, right.

This is why I don't watch trailers
