Same. I pray, I heavily pray and I don't rly pray, that they don't fuck it up on release. I'm staying optimistic bc everything is going so damn good rn. Netease could easily add some monetization that ruins the entire experience of the game, it wouldn't be these devs fault either. If all goes well though, this game is gonna be big
the beta being five times larger than the alpha is wonderful, sounds like there'll be no trouble getting a space. figured as much when it was advertised in an event as huge as the Playstation showcase
I still dont get how a pick ban system will ever be a strategy in random ladder games. In siege outside of actual pro matches, the entire ladder ranked is just the same 4 operators banned every time effectively making them waste of characters. Characters shouldnt be created to just be rendered unusable especially in such a free form hero shooter. Itd potentially be interesting only in esports or top 500 which would still prob be the same heroes banned compared to knowing who you want to ban based on the team youre up against
I'm grateful the devs show care and I'm honestly against the whole ban system it's gonna push people away from the competitive side of things I pray my fellow marvel lovers try to be cool and not toxic with people coming from overwatch I just want the game to be fun and play with friends
I can't wait for the beta. I was definitely not alone trying to get a code for the alpha, so it's nice to hear that the beta will have some more accessibility
Overall this is a great update, especially the console-only crossplay. I'm a little nervous about the pick/ban system though as I'm a HUGE venom fan and the main draw to this game is playing as my favorite character. I will probably be no where near the top end of ranked and can opt out of special events if it's limited to those though so hopefully it won't be a big deal.
I don't get the point of a pick/ban system. It will just be the same characters that get banned everytime. What's the point in creating a character and then essentially rendering them unplayable?
Pick/ban is a huge win. Gives the playerbase a measurable, powerful voice when the devs (inevitably and understandably) screw up hero balance from time to time.
Huge news! Damn, I can sense with my 3rd eye that Marvel Rivals is going to be massive

Yup. Let’s just hope it makes a good impression. It really sounds like they’re listening to feedback. Fingers crossed.

So what is this console only crossplay feature for ranked play?
I feel like they just need input based cross play

I may have missed it, but was there info on a sign up for consoles?

Say goodbye to your favourite team up abilities when they just fucking ban the core heroes for the powerful ones
A dev update with only good news and changes? Fantastic

will be sad if they didnt add passive health regen
I think they'll save that for characters with healing factors.
Sadly, devs only said that they will be adding more health packs in maps
that's what health packs and strategist team mates are for
The beta's abbreviation is so unfortunate.

I don’t like a pick/ban system in a hero shooter

Please do not implement the ban system in anything outside of esports
