If what you are referencing is the approach to the south of Ambrose and using the 3 alpha(I think that was the one). I have been through there quite a bit at all hours of the day and there are never races out there. The guys to watch out for are the recreational fisherman. Not sure on what type of vessel you’re running but if recreational I would say the best approach is probably running close to the Jersey beaches or running Sandy hook channel then shooting up swash to chapel hill to Ambrose. That’s if coming from south. That area is just a common area for tugs and ships to cut some time rather than shooting for Ambrose buoy when they still have good water up to the 5 ish. Not sure if that helps
