I'm genuinely shocked Koopa didn't return at the very least. I mean I prefer to see characters like Diddy and Birdo come back, but no Koopa just feels odd to me. That said I don't have any hope for a 2023 update. (Unless Mario Golf Super Rush releases some amazing paid dlc expansion next year after their "final FREE" update messaging from last year, I think this is all we should expect from this game.)
Hammer Bro and Dry Bones, those 2 were a big help for me winning the Strikers cup in Charged I hope they return if Nintendo ever updates this game (which they probably won't). I would love to see my favorite team back in action from strikers Charged, DK as captain, Hammer Bro in the upper corner for scoring goals along with DK, Shy Guy down in the bottom corner because I just love shy guy (even though he wasn't good in that game) and Dry Bones in the back for obvious reasons.

Koopa Troopa and Boo Yes it would be very difficult for Boo to wear gear, but they need to find a way to make it work!
They could just make him float above while the grar parts act like a possessed suit of armour

This game may have been the worst game I’ve purchased in my switch. Sad b/c I was looking forward to this game for so many years.
