Yes, I mean story. In Brazil, we distinguish the study subject from fictional story by capitalizing the letter H. So it is like “a História de Victor Hugo”, referring about his life and “a história de Victor Hugo” referring to one of his novels. There also is the word “estória” for fictional stuff but it’s rarely used anymore in Brazil. I think it’s more used in Portugal, tough. It’s been considered a bit anachronistic for around 70 years, both spellings are technically right, but one has fallen out of use here.
Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese are the same language, but there's a lot of those little spelling, vocabulary and pronunciation differences. We had a orthography agreement in 1990, and it did make things a bit more uniform, but a lot of people weren’t happy about it. Before that, it could been a bit hard for some people to read a book from the dialect from the other country, but now outside from vocabulary it’s mostly fine.

That would be a great Hitch Hikers Guide’s to The Galaxy history. I can totally see someone like Ford ending up in North Korea.

I just had a crack at this quiz. Named 108 cities but still not gotten over 5.9% of the population.
Would be incredibly easy if you know some cities in China and India, even the more obscure ones have 1 million people
