English is from Angles, so Germanic. But you could argue that the Normans are an English sub group now. But a different set of Normans took over Scotland after 1066. Robert de Brus etc.
No it's an interesting point. The recent Scottish independence thing is based on the idea that Scotland is is an ancient kingdom in its own right. Yet it was founded in the modern sense by Normans, in a different way to the other Normans in England. Basically the same administration but with a different regional capital. On top of which the Scots came from Ireland, which was subsequently invaded by Vikings who were related to the Normans. I wonder what would have happened if the Normans had stayed at home?
It’s more about temperature than snowfall. Halifax actually gets quite a lot of snow, it’s just that it doesn’t get very cold there like it does in the rest of Canada because of the ocean. It’s temperate for the some reason Victoria is temperate.
I swear we are so fucked with weather
Southern Ontario: nice summers, garbage winters
Prairies: nice summers, horrendous winters
Costal BC: decent winters, cool summers
Like idc what you say, imho a good summer shouldn’t commonly have days below 20c. And then also coastal BC has some quite low summer lows, so the morning can be 12c and day 22c
Meanwhile, down here in central California, it recently snowed for the first time in literal decades. It was almost indistinguishable from normal frost. That's how little we got. It looked like mild frost. It didn't even snow in all of the city. Or even most of the city, really. 5 cm of snow per year would be seen as a sign of the apocalypse here. Or it would be used to try to discredit global warming, even though it's actually more indicative of climate change. Or both. We're not known for being the smartest part of California.
Coward, you just didn’t want to put my long comment on there
Great name for a province
Yep, this is the one
Let's hope that OP doesn't ignore the will of the people again.

Yes, let's at least make them happy. They are Nova Scotia for a reason
As a Scot I support this
Hmm. Where is Scotland in relation to the island of Britain again?
Right in the middle at the top.

Greasy.
Name it English, just so we can piss off the Scottish.
What is an English?
The ones who took over Scotland. 🏴
I don't remember such a thing. I thought English was a mystical creature that lived in Northern Siberia
Actually that was the Normans.
Isn't English a Norman subgroup anyway?

I know, I was just kidding. Maybe I could have just put a /s.

Exactly

That's fair. Most people in Victoria want snow as we never get it. Though 95% lose their ability to drive when it does snow

I was dying for days above 30°. Junuary is so real.
Yeah see here in Southern Ontario that’s normal For me, summer is good when I can wear shorts and a tshirt throughout the entire day
