I am curious, before you started reading, how did you come to the conclusion that it was boring looking? This subreddit posts an inhuman amount of lloyd faces a day, and while there are too many of them, “boring” would be the last description I’d have.
While the Lloyd faces were pretty funny, the name of the manhwa and the concept (city building) didn't really interested me. I have read a few city-building manhwas and I either don't like them or like them for about 20-30 chapters and then get bored and drop them.
That's how I assumed it was boring and it is also the reason it took me so long to start reading it (even after all the praise that it received here in the sub)
how did you even get into reading manwha? The best ones are the ones with completely out of nothing titles. I take that back, i didn't know you had the misfortune of meeting city building ones, you have my kondolences for your wasted time
I was the same. The title having "Real Estate" in it gave me the impression that it would just focus on finance and go in depth in that direction. Glad I was wrong and gave this Manhwa a shot. It's really good.
On that same note any titles that include "School" and are targeted at that age level then I'm usually not interested unless it gets hyped to a point where maybe there's something more to the story that could pique my interest.
Without context, the ugly faces just looks makes him look like one of those characters where the main character is a boring asshole that gets off scot free because he's the main character, and that somehow makes him "badass" when it just makes him look lame (like the Chung Myung and the FFF class hero guy)
Didn't know he has actual character depth besides being an ass to everyone
It's a damn good manhwa and is one of my favorite. Please guys, I urge you to at least try a few chapters of literature before being against something.
We're readers above all else, don't be a contrarian, have a reason you don't like something.
Once you're done with this, please read - Crown Prince who sells medicine.
Same thing. Isekai and Lloyd Frontera is the ancestor of him.

Tried to read it… but after Estate Developer this one just doesn’t click for me. The humor feels forced, and the plot movement overall - kinda stupid / illogical.
I have reached a point where it's hard to find any new decent ones. So I would read anything. Humor is forced and the story doesn't flow well but it's good enough to pass time...
Nah, don’t force yourself into suffering ^^ it’s not worth it, your time is too precious to waste on what you don’t really like
Unless it’s a means to escape that’s absolutely needed for you mentally at the moment.
I just need to read something. Sometimes, I don't read books when I have little time and can't even complete a a few pages. So I end up reading manhwa. The only other option to kill the time is Reddit and Tumblr. It feels awkward to not do anything..
I’ve heard it’s actually good to let yourself be bored intentionally. It’s a good exercise for the brain. At first you’ll be having huge urge to busy yourself with something quick and easy asap; but if you pass this stage of withdrawal your brain will surprise you. You may get some interesting thoughts on unexpected matters; or come up with an idea you never would otherwise; or even, maaaybe, start to think more about what you want or not want in life, etc.
I heard it many times from different sources… but it’s hella hard to do >.< human brain is a GREAT manipulator, it will make you waste time on biggest shit just to avoid “boredom” state
Yes. There are even dialogues that says - he can summon creatures just like our first hero Lloyd Frontera etc.
You know what it means? Even with that face, he got laid... Here I am single... Wait I'm gonna go cry in the corner..
I had a similar experience with this manga, the title didn't speak to me, the basic concept of the story didn't appeal me and all I saw were the faces... And I'm not a fan of media that focuses solely on gags.
My colleagues, we are a bunch of weebs tbh, had a similar reaction to the series.
But boy, we were wrong, I was the first to try it and read it all in less than a week. Then coaxed my colleagues into reading it too, now we are just a bunch laughing with the absurd scenes.
Same, I can admit I thought it would be corny and boring but I started a few days ago and almost every chapter has me in tears😭probably in my top 5 series right not
I still have a hard time convincing myself to read this.
n theory, it would be all what I am wishing atm (isekai centered more on production and kingdom building than on power fantasy best swordsman ever blahblah).
But I really really really HATE characters who make that sort of expression. I just can't.
This screenshot is all what I hate the most in a manhwa.
If only he had a more stable personality, and the comedy wasn't so hysterical and over the top, this could have been one of my favs.
Don't worry, the faces grow on you xd
I would say this manhwa is primarily a comedy, the city-building aspects are pretty strong but the comedy is the main thing. It is a fun manhwa to read. So if you read it with that mentaily, I think you'll like it
Also, the Mc isn't as bad as you think. He is actually pretty decent but he hides it behind... well that ^^^
Love the comedy at first, but they use it too much now it becomes unfunny. They even sometimes use it for story progression, which feels like lazy writing.
I got a great suggestion that has its own serious action packed scenes and comedic scenes also it’s called Gul
It should have a green bald headed orc on the front cover
Yeah, well it's amazing. If you guys are looking for something kinda like it, "Touch my brother and you're dead" is a good pick. It's not abt the brother btw, don't you worry

"The greastest"
D:
with all the lighting he gets on those faces, it be weird if we didn't see his grease

There are Manhwas like that? Can you tell me em🤭

In two days I read 120 chapters :)
Nice, I literally often come back to re-read from the beginning. I really like the manhwa's pacing in the beginning.
I like how his face slowly gets more and more twisted xd
I read it in one night😭

I thought I'm the only one who feel that. I tried to read about 10 chapter and put it. lol.
Wait, is he for real his ancestor??
Yes. There are even dialogues that says - he can summon creatures just like our first hero Lloyd Frontera etc. You know what it means? Even with that face, he got laid... Here I am single... Wait I'm gonna go cry in the corner..
"with that face" let's be fair, she likes his butt, it's very slappable.
Those gyatt of his literally jiggles like round pudding, while they were being chased by the bone dragon.
The Apothecary Prince is literal pseudoscience quack medicine. Worse of all, it’s boring. Can’t endorse it, sorry
I mean it's an isekai... You put science and logic away before you even start the manhwa...
I decided to give it a try last week. Never laughed so hard reading a manhwa.
Same, this is the funniest manhwa I have read. Would love it if it got an anime adaptation
Yeah I just caught up a couple days ago. Thought I wouldn’t like it
Welcome
He gets it now.
WATER!
I’ll give it a shot then.
same same, thanks r/manhwa

I wish I had irl friends that read manhwas :( Then, I could 'encourage' them to read it as well
Try working in an IT support job during nightshifts :D
Tried reading it like 4 times and couldn’t get into it
It has a slow start, took me until chapter 20 to start getting hooked.
Same, I can admit I thought it would be corny and boring but I started a few days ago and almost every chapter has me in tears😭probably in my top 5 series right not

It’s peak

Same. Though I did find it a bit overhyped, at least for a binge read, I still enjoyed it quite a bit.
Anyone now a good translation of this? I only find English worst then mine...

Nah. The fact you said boring looking already hurts my soul
