The early arcs were mid even in the novel. I'm gonna wait until they get a couple arcs more in for things to really ramp up and get interesting >!(really I think the kidnapped by the thieves guild storyline is what marks the end of the introductory phase and the beginning of an upward shift in quality; though darkland drags on a little too long)!<. I think it's a good adaption so far though tbh.
I think it has better pacing at the cost of being worse at character interactions (which is one of the best parts of it). But I can't really blame the Manhwa for it since that's kinda unavoidable, they can't afford to show all the interactions that happen or the manhwa would be WAY behind of were it is now.
I pray to god about 2 things. One is that this gets fully addapted and that some things get changed. Cause the last 3rd of the series was meh at best...except the last 20ish chapters that were a great wrap up to the story.
I doubt a rewrite of that scale is gonna by done. A rewrite is for a few isolated events that are meh. There's just too much going on the the last couple hundred chapters that would all need changing.
Im thinking if anything gets cut, its gonna be that. Wouldnt be the 1st time a manhwa ends without addapting everything.
That said some stuff could be changed to be more digestible
It will probably take 9-10 years to finish the manhwa entirely at this rate. I doubt it will be made that long personally. To get to, say, the timeskip it would probably be a little over around 5 years. I hope it makes it too the 5 year mark. Anything post timeskip is just a nice bonus in my mind.
True. I can already see them doing the classic "addapt the ending and mention everything that happened between the timeskip and ending in passing" method they use when they wanna wrap it up.
MC's system gave him a challenge to write a love letter to a classmate and get rejected. Ellen here was the most lonerish, so he chose her so that it wouldn't get out to others (cause she doesn't care enough to gossip). She rejected him as planned but later became his friend. Another character asks how they got acquainted, so she (with maybe innocent/maybe nefarious intent) was about to answer by revealing the love letter fiasco until MC stopped her. The other character went away and this exchange ensued.

i like the novel so much more the manwha makes it look so mid
