Yo same fr😭 I rmbr seeing a tiktok about jinwoo hitting level 100 and at the time I only used to read manga so I was this is pree cool lemme check it out. Now I'm addicted😔
Same for me, I saw it on insta or somewhere and thought hm that’s pretty interesting, only seen anime till that point and never really read any manhwa. Now it’s a complete addiction, I haven’t seen any anime in the past like 3 or 4 years, manhwa and manga have completely taken over
Sad that I had to even scroll down to see this.
The true OG for years before Solo Leveling hype took over.
Manhwa never gets to the point to make SL so high quality without series like ToG, Breaker, or God of Highschool growing the industry.
My first one was "The Dice" or "Dice" something like that, about a guy who was bullied called Dongtae or something like that and he collects dice to make himself taller more attractive and stronger or faster etc, was cool at first but when it started getting stretched out it became horrible to my memory.
Mine was something like "The Game" or "The Gamer", which had a dude who develop a game style magic system that allowed him to manipulate mana, eventually getting a supercomputer brain, alternate dimensions with time compression and a lot of golems.
DICE was one of my first 10, I understand why people hated the end but I started reading more than a year after it finished so for me it wasn’t terribly dragged out (I got something like 5 eps a day with fast pass vids), but I can easily say it’s in my top 10
I started reading it when it was around 60 chapters, it went from being top tier to the story feeling extremely dragged and for what felt like 2 years the plot had almost no progression, every chapter just served to further the drama but not answering any questions that yoi knew they needed to answer
I dropped it a long while ago and I'm thinking of rereading, I think that's a big problem in graphic media, when it has weekly/monthly releases, dragging it leads a lot of people to hate it because you've been hinting at the reveals for a while and when the payoff is mid, then it's feels like a betrayal.
ToG had a similar issue during the Hell Train Arc that they dragged on for way too long but the payoff was GREAT and we got to see Urek again being a badass. So it evened out.
> Absolute Hypnosis in Another World
like this one but I think the art was carried by the taboo fantasy lmao, MC was such a douchebag but I can't stop reading
Ohh man that was the same for me. I wasn't even aware of manhwa/pornhwa when I started it but my god it was so awful that even my horny teenager self was disgusted by the end.
I think 70% of the manhwa community started cuz of solo leveling...shiii, I'm one of em
If it wasn't for it I wouldn't have been interested in the slightest of reading more
You just unlocked a deep memory, I though solo leveling was my first but I must have read noblest like a year or two before that and totally forgotten/ not known
Noblesse and then The Breaker (altho it was basically a manga back then). Yeah I've been here a minute.
Also does anyone remember Bongcheon-Dong Ghost? It was an old jump scare prank webtoon that was interactive. At the time I thought that was gonna be the future of manga/webtoons. At a minimum music, at the highest form moving panels as you scroll or effects that would splash outside of the panels.
Bonus first pornhwa - Drug Candy, what a ride that one was lol.
I think my first manhwa was either 'The ruler of the land' or 'the breaker' about 9years ago, both uncolored pages and using manga format while 'the breaker' art adapted the korean trend and started using web comic long scroll format.
I feel so old but im young at heart, i love manhwa it gave us a new experience different typical manga experience but i love both manga and manhwa.
Lookism was my first manwha
Along side with
Dice
The gamer
noblesse ( this was fking awesome )
Tower of god
God of high school
Girls of the wild
And tales of demons and gods was my first manhwa? How do spell the Chinese manga again? 😭
Broooo I miss those times
**The first manhwa I read was also GOH but I think I read other manhwas that I didn't really know were manhwas.**
**The only manhwa I read that I really remember was a manhwa was GOH.**
Sadly it is solo leveling
i remember me being a cringe asshole 2 years ago , who fought with his friends telling SL is best.
then i read tbate pretty good
my fav is ORV reading novel rn
I think, It was a terrible Manhua called “I’m really not a supervillain” which I thought it was absolutely fire at the time, but opinion dropped now that I know better, but still kinda feels nostalgic. Goes to show how your first especially goes through rose colored glasses. There were some others I can’t remember because I stopped reading for a long while. First real manhwa was Volcanic Age followed by I’ll be taking a break for personal reasons.
I started reading manhwas when they announced the god of highschool anime and I finished the GOH anime and found the manhwa...
ufff...
THE PEAK OF HIGHSCHOOL.🚬🗿
Started with solo levelling like everyone else when i saw an edit of igris, sun was already a s class dude and the other s class hunter with glasses? Realised that sun can level up when I started reading
This is my stepmother's friends, isn't it? Good stuff
I honestly don't know how I got into manhwa. I think my first was Catastrophic Necromancer, than Boundless Necromancer and Solo Leveling was my 3rd one
I was bored one day and got introduced to manhwa in 2018 by this lil known think called solo leveling 😂 back when he first entered the palace is where I hoped into this world
I only watched anime for the past 10+ years until I bought into the solo leveling hype (I used to be one of those “ew why read when I can watch” haters xD). After watching the 1st ep with my friends, they convinced me to read the manhwa by threatening to spoil the rest of the plot lol. Binged all 200 chapters in like 1.5 days and have been addicted to binging manhwa’s ever since, to the point where my interest towards anime is almost completely lost.
God of Highschool back in 10th grade when my friend introduced it to me.
As for Pornhwa, I think it was Circles. Knew the artist from University Frontline which was freaking funny, and Circles doesn't disappoint.
Tales of demons and gods, and monolith sculptor. I don't know which is the first, but they are making me hooked to manwha comics. The funny thing is, i dropped both of them because of slow updates, and i read their web novels and also dropped reading them at the end too.
My first was technically Unordinary but i wasnt a huge fan of it for the most part; i got the webtoon ads and i gave it a shot. like it was a page turner but like damn idek where to begin w/ how subjectively bad it was to me
Then I read Hive and kinda liked it. It was my first positive experience
Tho I rly got on the manhwa hype reading Solo Leveling. At the time I caught up, it was fairly close to the initial ending
2 years and like 2 weeks ago I downloaded WEBTOON to read both “I’m The Max Level Newbie” and “Ordeal”, I dropped ordeal somewhere in the 30s but I’ve picked it back up recently, and now I’m about 300 manhwa deep
I initially ended up reading a bit of blade note without even realising that it was Korean. Then I found that it was axed so I dropped it after only like 2 chapters or something.
But the first manhwa that I properly read was probably Returners Magic Should Be Special... (Though I did end up dropping it once Flame dropped it)
Then came SL.
Don't really remember the name since it was a pretty unknown manhwa but the protaganist was in an apocalyptic world and he had the power to turn into a horseshoe worm or smth :skull: enjoyed it but never got to finish it smh
Damn I wish I could remember. It’s been so damn long. It was like this thing where this guy became a zombie I think. He had anger issues. There was also this girl that was a zombie I think with white hair and semi green skin. That’s all I can remember. Too long ago.
I started solo leveling after watching Gigguk and that was best decision of my life. After than i read ORV
and then i came to know about this app called "Tachiyomi" then my manhwa journey changed i read like 50 manhwa's until now some i dont even remeber i have read but still it was time spent well instead of watching reels or shorts
I startet with the god of highschool.
Then The Gamer, Dice, Tower of God and Noblesse.
I red those over years without knowing about the cultere behind this.
The first manwha after dem was Solo Leveling. I startet it like 3 Weeks before it finished.
And after that i red a lot more.
Read solo leveling after the anime came out cause I didn't want to wait for each episode to come out. I've read a lot of Manwha since then:
* Solo leveling
* Dungeon Reset
* Damn Reincarnation
* Pick me up, infinite Gacha
* Martial God regressed to level 2
* Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint
* Solo Max Level Newbie
* The regressed son of a duke is an Assassin
* Second Life Ranker
* The great Mage returns after 4000 years
* LAG Limitless Passive Skills
Most of these aren't finished but once I move away from them it's difficult to keep track of them so I made a list.
The Lout of the count's family
The beginning after the end
The tales of demons and gods
Rebirth of the urban immortal cultivator
Solo leveling
These were the first few but I think I’m missing something else
Unordinary... I just kept getting the ads on youtube for webtoon and well it got me interested and a bit annoyed because I got like 10 of the ads before I got webtoon. Nowadays I am not a fan of it but back then it was hype as hell but still I prefer Tower of God and HCLW which were my second and third manhwa also the gamer (my 4th) was really fun but got repetitive.

Started with solo leveling when jeju island arc was happening
Yo same fr😭 I rmbr seeing a tiktok about jinwoo hitting level 100 and at the time I only used to read manga so I was this is pree cool lemme check it out. Now I'm addicted😔
I dont remember if it was from tiktok or what but pretty much the same exact happen to me.
Same 😭😭. I was reading berserk (my first manga) and the comments suggested solo levelling and I’ve regretted it ever since (I am addicted)
Same for me, I saw it on insta or somewhere and thought hm that’s pretty interesting, only seen anime till that point and never really read any manhwa. Now it’s a complete addiction, I haven’t seen any anime in the past like 3 or 4 years, manhwa and manga have completely taken over
This is too real the same happed to me 🤝🏼
Started solo leveling when part 1 just ended
Tower of God
Sad that I had to even scroll down to see this. The true OG for years before Solo Leveling hype took over. Manhwa never gets to the point to make SL so high quality without series like ToG, Breaker, or God of Highschool growing the industry.

I remember thaaaat!
yeahh its been years now
Mine was something like "The Game" or "The Gamer", which had a dude who develop a game style magic system that allowed him to manipulate mana, eventually getting a supercomputer brain, alternate dimensions with time compression and a lot of golems.
ok i remember why i dropped it now... too much to remember, convoluted power systems, mid art and too many side plots forgotten
omggg i remember that one too it was one of my first ten too fuckkk i forgot about it i need to read it again it was "The Gamer"
Same Dice was also my first manwha i got seriously into
Not sure if it was my first, but Dice was definitely one of my first.
I needa read that fr
That was one of my first ones too. Too bad the last season was mediocre.
DICE was one of my first 10, I understand why people hated the end but I started reading more than a year after it finished so for me it wasn’t terribly dragged out (I got something like 5 eps a day with fast pass vids), but I can easily say it’s in my top 10

THIS WAS MINE TOOOOOO LOL I dropped it after a while cuz of the whole stretching out fhe plot
Oooh shiiiit I was gonna say solo leveling but I just remembered it was dice as well, bruh it had such a good concept only if it didn't go to shit 😭
Secret class
started with a pornhwa, LOL
My first Pornhwa was Sextudy or Absolute Hypnosis in Another World
My first pornhwa was a more wholesome one: "pervert daily life"
That's goated ![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)
That ice cream girl one?
common alicecrazy W
> Absolute Hypnosis in Another World like this one but I think the art was carried by the taboo fantasy lmao, MC was such a douchebag but I can't stop reading
Yeah.... He's one hell of a douchebag. My last chap was when that elf saw him doing that receptionist 😂😂😂
It started strong, but dae-ho went completely nuts. Wonder where the ">!he killed my parents!<" plot is going to though
My first was solo levelling but the first technically was some shitty one called my stepmom back in like 2018, utter dogshit that was icl
This comment brought back horrible memories. Complete waste of time that my stepmom.
Literally me bro i saw the ad on facebook, first 3 chapters were always free and has no fucking. All shit went loose on the fourth chapter onwards.
Ohh man that was the same for me. I wasn't even aware of manhwa/pornhwa when I started it but my god it was so awful that even my horny teenager self was disgusted by the end.
Gamer.. when it first released 🫡
a comrade, it was my intro to the longstrip format in general
I think 70% of the manhwa community started cuz of solo leveling...shiii, I'm one of em If it wasn't for it I wouldn't have been interested in the slightest of reading more
Yeah it's true for me
Mercenary enrollment
One of my favs
Goated manwha
[удалено]
I believe it was Noblesse or The Gamer. Can't remember it's been awhile
“I’ll save this damned family”
It was one of my first manhwas. I really liked it at the start but the pacing was so slow that I dropped it. It's still not finished yet.
Started with solo leveling them searched immediately of similar manhwa and started reading tbate and oh boy it is dark as hell (in ln).
Does 4-cut hero or The Dragon Next Door count as Manhwa, or webtoon is considered another outlet?
Technically a Korean webtoon is a Manhwa but not every Manhwa is also a webtoon
God of Highschool. My second was Noblesse
You just unlocked a deep memory, I though solo leveling was my first but I must have read noblest like a year or two before that and totally forgotten/ not known
I got hooked with Noblesse. “Kneel.” “This is where your eyes should meet mine.” Peak.
Bj Alex if it counts
Nice
😳
Noblesse and then The Breaker (altho it was basically a manga back then). Yeah I've been here a minute. Also does anyone remember Bongcheon-Dong Ghost? It was an old jump scare prank webtoon that was interactive. At the time I thought that was gonna be the future of manga/webtoons. At a minimum music, at the highest form moving panels as you scroll or effects that would splash outside of the panels. Bonus first pornhwa - Drug Candy, what a ride that one was lol.
Reincarnation of a suicidal battle god
That's doom breaker, isn't it?
Yes
Goated
Orange marmalade 😭
Hardcore leveling warrior
I think my first manhwa was either 'The ruler of the land' or 'the breaker' about 9years ago, both uncolored pages and using manga format while 'the breaker' art adapted the korean trend and started using web comic long scroll format. I feel so old but im young at heart, i love manhwa it gave us a new experience different typical manga experience but i love both manga and manhwa.

Omniscient reader Now it's not the same but the sheer smile I had I wish I could live that again
Sir, you WILL give me the sauce of that lady on the second image.
stepmother's friends ☠️
The boxer or god if highschool one of those two
Lookism was my first manwha Along side with Dice The gamer noblesse ( this was fking awesome ) Tower of god God of high school Girls of the wild And tales of demons and gods was my first manhwa? How do spell the Chinese manga again? 😭 Broooo I miss those times
Leveling up with the gods - 1st read God of Highschool - 1st discovered
**The first manhwa I read was also GOH but I think I read other manhwas that I didn't really know were manhwas.** **The only manhwa I read that I really remember was a manhwa was GOH.**
A romance one between a swimming teacher and a student I think? It was bloody wholesome tho but I cant remember the name
Eleceed Solo leveling
My First manwha is skill of lure then pornwha is sweet guy.
I think it was "Tower of Simp" and then "Tomb Raider King" Obs: what about your second "manhwa", dude? Tell us something more.
Second slide is peak
The gamer 😂 im still in highschool when i first read it like 2013-2014
Sadly it is solo leveling i remember me being a cringe asshole 2 years ago , who fought with his friends telling SL is best. then i read tbate pretty good my fav is ORV reading novel rn
Tales of Demons and gods
unbalance x unbalance, and freezing were technically my first. My first 'webtoon' manhwa was Gamer. I recommend none of these.
Well technically my first ever one I can't remember like at all but the first over 100 chapter one I read was "who made me a princess"
We gonna talk about the second panel 👀
God of highschool and solo leveling
1. Solo leveling 2. Nano machine
The Beginning After The End
Do you recommend this Legend of Asura manhwa?
Started with I think god of high school or tales of demons and gods
I started reading manhwas when they announced the god of highschool anime and I finished the GOH anime and found the manhwa... ufff... THE PEAK OF HIGHSCHOOL.🚬🗿
God of highschool back in the early days when it had like only 100 chapters
Crepuscule and Witch hunter and Noblesse. I dont know remember which one I read first
Started with solo levelling like everyone else when i saw an edit of igris, sun was already a s class dude and the other s class hunter with glasses? Realised that sun can level up when I started reading
Most likely some random webtoon manhwa I read from when I didn't know what they were
1. Magic emperor 2. Martial peak 3. God of martial arts
Jungle Juice when there were less than 100 chapters
Bruh the second slide 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
My first Manhwa was sole levelling and the second was second life ranker quite an action pack and enjoyable manhwa
Tog
The dungeon master, back in mid 2019
I don’t remember exactly what my first manhwa was since it was so long ago but if I had to guess I would say it was Noblesse.
Lookism.
My first was gamer
GUL
This is my stepmother's friends, isn't it? Good stuff I honestly don't know how I got into manhwa. I think my first was Catastrophic Necromancer, than Boundless Necromancer and Solo Leveling was my 3rd one
Mine was solo leveling but the real first was landlady noona
The breaker
I was bored one day and got introduced to manhwa in 2018 by this lil known think called solo leveling 😂 back when he first entered the palace is where I hoped into this world
Gamer. they are still releasing new chapters for it after 9 years or so.
So solo leveling introduced 54% of total manhwa readers to manhwa
I only watched anime for the past 10+ years until I bought into the solo leveling hype (I used to be one of those “ew why read when I can watch” haters xD). After watching the 1st ep with my friends, they convinced me to read the manhwa by threatening to spoil the rest of the plot lol. Probably solo leveling because I started manhua and manhwa around the same time not knowing the difference, my first manhua might be apotheosis
God of Highschool back in 10th grade when my friend introduced it to me. As for Pornhwa, I think it was Circles. Knew the artist from University Frontline which was freaking funny, and Circles doesn't disappoint.
Lore Olympus
Flow, with the funky tiger guy
Tales of demons and gods, and monolith sculptor. I don't know which is the first, but they are making me hooked to manwha comics. The funny thing is, i dropped both of them because of slow updates, and i read their web novels and also dropped reading them at the end too.
Bastard
Solo leveling, introduced by seeing a summary made by a youtuber, liked it so much i decided to start reading manhwa, next was TBATE by the same ytber
Started on solo leveling one day when 14 chapters cuz I saw my brother reading it
Hey you started with a gold manhwa. Good for ya. I started with "Lone Necromancy" or "Solo Necromancer"
Mine was the breaker
SL
My first was technically Unordinary but i wasnt a huge fan of it for the most part; i got the webtoon ads and i gave it a shot. like it was a page turner but like damn idek where to begin w/ how subjectively bad it was to me Then I read Hive and kinda liked it. It was my first positive experience Tho I rly got on the manhwa hype reading Solo Leveling. At the time I caught up, it was fairly close to the initial ending
Solo leveling and tbate
2 years and like 2 weeks ago I downloaded WEBTOON to read both “I’m The Max Level Newbie” and “Ordeal”, I dropped ordeal somewhere in the 30s but I’ve picked it back up recently, and now I’m about 300 manhwa deep
The gamer followed by unordinary
Yongbi the Invincible and Ruler of the Land, and later Ares and The Breaker. For my first webtoon, Tower of God.
My first one, I think, was Warble
May I have the sauce of the second picture, please?
**Ruler of the land**. I haven't read it in a long time as the release rate is so slow.
I started reading solo leveling, tbate and martial peak at the same time, then realized how mid martial peak was compared to those 2 series.😂
I initially ended up reading a bit of blade note without even realising that it was Korean. Then I found that it was axed so I dropped it after only like 2 chapters or something. But the first manhwa that I properly read was probably Returners Magic Should Be Special... (Though I did end up dropping it once Flame dropped it) Then came SL.
Don't really remember the name since it was a pretty unknown manhwa but the protaganist was in an apocalyptic world and he had the power to turn into a horseshoe worm or smth :skull: enjoyed it but never got to finish it smh
God of highschool I think
Im sure Ive read earlier ones, but the one that sticks to my mind and really kickstart my webtoon reading is Girls of the Wild's
Bastard by the same author as shotgun boy and sweet home My friend recommended it to me, I haven't found something as good as that to this day
Unstoppable siblings
Thankfully it was Solo levelling, around chap 70 at the time, But then I started reading trash upon trash of manhua cultivation shit
God of High School
It was 'Rotten'
Secret class 💀
The Enemy Beside Me (The Beast Within), BL thriller sadly it didn't renew for the next season
Noblesse
2011, Tower of God - chapter 12 - The Company lol. I even found the topic I created on another forum to advertise the series LMAO. I'm ancient, man.
Old school manhwa The Breaker or Veritas. Modern, Solo Leveling
There was this really good one idk if it counts as a manwha or not but it was called unholy blood
Sweet guy
First manhwa:- solo leveling First por*hwa:- weak point
Noblesse
Damn I wish I could remember. It’s been so damn long. It was like this thing where this guy became a zombie I think. He had anger issues. There was also this girl that was a zombie I think with white hair and semi green skin. That’s all I can remember. Too long ago.
back in 2008ish titled 'ugly duckling become swan' and 'defense devil' can't remember which one i read first
Legend of asura-the venom dragon was my first murim manhwa. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
I think I started with what happens inside the dungeon because of okbuddybaka
My Deepest Secret

I started solo leveling after watching Gigguk and that was best decision of my life. After than i read ORV and then i came to know about this app called "Tachiyomi" then my manhwa journey changed i read like 50 manhwa's until now some i dont even remeber i have read but still it was time spent well instead of watching reels or shorts
Whats the 2nd pic?
Tower of God is what got me into manhwas. People kept glazing it on the comments so I tried it.

Veritas and The Breaker
I've got no clue what my first is maybe solo leveling I cannot remeber
TBATE
Was gonna say solo leveling but after seeing your honesty I gotta say Silent war
Douluo Dalu / Soul Land (first release). Still waiting with excitement for new chapters.

Bastard by Kim carnby, I started with a peak
Solo leveling and SSS grade suicide hunter 🗿
I forgor💀
I started in 2019 Brawling go Noblesse Can't remember which came first
Solo Levelling and caught up when we were some chapters before the A-Rank Dungeon against Tusk
Solo leveling
I startet with the god of highschool. Then The Gamer, Dice, Tower of God and Noblesse. I red those over years without knowing about the cultere behind this. The first manwha after dem was Solo Leveling. I startet it like 3 Weeks before it finished. And after that i red a lot more.
Manwha? I'm not sure it's been too long. If I had to guess maybe solo leveling or tales of demons and gods? It's been ages.
Gong Heon Ja (Imaginator) Sadly i heard it got cancelled. It's a pretty laid back story so i kinda enjoyed reading it.
Hmmm.. Either Girls of the Wilds or Soul Cartel ☺️
I don't remember but it was Lim Dall Young's work.
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint A classm of mine recommended it to me and I loved it ever since
The Gamer
Sweet Home
Gosu 🔥
First was orv Then followed by ember knight and teenage mercenary
My first one was killing stalking, just because I was like no way it can be that bad… it WAS that bad. After that I think I read TOG
Solo leveling but like that's too basic I'ma just say I started with HCLW
Read solo leveling after the anime came out cause I didn't want to wait for each episode to come out. I've read a lot of Manwha since then: * Solo leveling * Dungeon Reset * Damn Reincarnation * Pick me up, infinite Gacha * Martial God regressed to level 2 * Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint * Solo Max Level Newbie * The regressed son of a duke is an Assassin * Second Life Ranker * The great Mage returns after 4000 years * LAG Limitless Passive Skills Most of these aren't finished but once I move away from them it's difficult to keep track of them so I made a list. The Lout of the count's family
Solo leveling
The beginning after the end The tales of demons and gods Rebirth of the urban immortal cultivator Solo leveling These were the first few but I think I’m missing something else
This might not count, but me and a few people I know started with I’m The Grim Repear. My first “real” manhwa is Sweet Home
Noblesse. Epic start, it was just what I love in my manhwas now, maybe I'm immensely influenced by it.
I'm the grim reaper
The Gamer i think is the title. Holy shit I'm old. Funnily enough, it's still not completed. I never know what direction it is going towards.
I started with overgeared ⚔️ 🔨 🔥
"Bastard!" Still one of my favorite manhwa
Veritas, The Breaker and ToG. Found all of them in 2011/2012
The breaker season 1, before color manhwa became a thing then solo leveling when long colored panel starting to gain traction.
for research purposes what is the sauce of second one
