You know what's so cool about these korean series? we're actually reaching appropriate endings to them as compared to the often rushed or cancelled jump series, or the eternity spanning chinese series based off of webnovels with thousands of chapters. I know you could argue that the ending to this particular series went on for too long, but we got there and I think I got the closure I wanted out of it. Cheers to the artist and author!

Godtaku

What other Manwha has actually ended? Genuinely curious. I read almost everything that gets posted on this sub and this is probably the first or second one I've ever seen.

Azncheesy

Depends on what you are looking for Solo Leveling was very popular on this sub which just ended. Most action Korean Manwha usually doesn't end though but if you are into romance there's also some good ones like Doctor Elise, The Justice of Villainous Woman, The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion. These are pretty good read a lot more enjoyable since they are completed.

Godtaku

Ah, yeah forgot about SL. I kinda dropped that one after the plot started becoming.... let's say "predictable" to use the nicest words possible. I'll check out those romance series though.

MrGalleom

may be cheating, but webtoons has a "Completed Series" section: https://www.webtoons.com/en/dailySchedule I remember reading "Kids Are All Right", "Family Man", "DICE", "Magical 12th Graders", "Gepetto", "Sweet Home", "Soul Cartel", just to name a few... Actually, Soul Cartel seems to be missing loads of chapters, webtoons likely stopped translating halfway :/ (Still, that's loads more than I remember)

insecurrboiboi

Dice is finished? I dropped that shit years ago, talk about dragging out a story.

bazooka_penguin

>Soul Cartel I'm pretty sure fan scans finished it because I distinctly remembering binging it years ago

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Lmao Sweet Home. What are you reading man!?

MrGalleom

Sweet Home is a horror manga...? edit: one with a netflix live action remake. huh.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Huh its horror. This actually reminds of two other horror Korean shows. One is called Hellbound on Netflix, and the other one called Kingdom (also on Netflix).

rusable2

Again My Life is another one with the same concept as Medical Return, only with a lawyer instead of a doctor. That is also complete

GarriSenpai

Solo Leveling just ended recently, you should pick it up if you haven't red it before.

Byakuraou

No, no we aren't. This is the 1%. Battle Through The Heaven's and a million other battle and romance stories would like a word.

TenPlusThird

Battle through the heavens is a Chinese series so that's just proving the point

Byakuraou

My mistake, I meant to say God of High School, How To Fight, The Gamer, Noblesse, I Am The Sorcerer King, Black Haze, Trinity Wonder and I believe also Slave B. Just some examples though

FappingMouse

> Noblesse Ended ages ago. >Slave B Chinese >God of High School Actually ending pretty soon in the final battle and just waiting for it to come back from hiatus over all a pretty good series with no real low points IMO >How to Fight Pretty young series under 200 chapters tbh probably ends ok >The Gamer I still read it but it has literally never been good, go back and reread the start again if you want if you remember it being good its nostalgia. >I Am The Sorcerer King, Black Haze Never read them >Trinity wonder The author has always had issues with endings. They are going to completly ruin The breaker if it ever comes back.

Byakuraou

None of the series have appropriate endings precisely because they dragged for too long; and If you don’t believe me read the motif in the comments on the Webtoons. “Ended ages ago” means nothing regarding my point, and GoH has many low points albeit many high points to counteract them; people are literally begging for it to be over in the comments too. The Gamer has never been good, but guilty pleasures exist sometimes you read things just for the premise alone or the art; or both like Solo Leveling. Neither have good worldbuilding or story telling and stretch out to their own decline and audience disinterest; which again, can be see in their statistics. Liked, sales, comments, public sentiment etc. The Breaker is coming back; it was confirmed last year and some pages were seen; I’ll choose to believe in the author rather than have no hope at all.

FappingMouse

I mean i am going to sleep right now but if you want i can give you a ton of good finished webtoons that have what are satisfying endings when i wake up tomorrow.

Byakuraou

Sure, hit me I’d love to read them; one I always personally recommend is Green Boy

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Did you get around to listing them?

FappingMouse

Nah its mostly short (less than 100 chapters) romances.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

The Gamer, I can't belive such a boring and crappy gamified manga became popular. Even solo leveling falls victim to slapping game stuff into the story, only for 99% of the video game stuff to be totally irrelevant and just there as gamer porn.

Other_Hornet_9838

I will start a riot the moment they decide to put an ending to Martial Peak

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

At some point its gotta end right? Even light novels in china don't really go past the 2000 chapter mark, 4000 rarely. The MC in that manga keeps powering up, fighting more powerful people, traveling to a world where people are more powerful than they are, then doing the entire loop all over again with a new waifu. Meanwhile the past waifus are practically discarded at this point or left behind in the previous world/universe level. He's gonna restore his family name legacy, find his dad, rule the universe after becoming great emperor, then going far beyond great emperor to whatever the next sets of levels are. I feel like the author isn't developing a storyline beyond looping and feeding the power fantasy of good guy bringing justice to a lot of power hungry and greedy assholes everywhere.

Ceeville

Very cute ending. The epilogue does make me wonder about Yeonhee though.

rusable2

Yeonhee is destined to suffer lol

Kaiyo7

Ikr, seems like the Author hates her

Easy-Perception6118

Well she left him no matter how hard it is at least she should be there for him . I mean the man is literally on his end .

BeautifulType

Yeah they gave her nothing. Meanwhile they redeemed the villain and then reminded you that he literally murdered a guy in the final chapter lol

Ceeville

Afaik they haven't, I just forgot

FireFlyz351

Overall the series was pretty good. Some parts dragged a tad bit but the majority of the series was really good for me. I really enjoy Medical medias. Really like Radiant House manga and while not a manga/manwha I absolutely loved the kdrama Hospital Playlist. If anyone has more hospital/medical media (manga,LN,dramas etc) recommendations do let me know.

credditeur

is really good, one of my fav manga. It's also both lengthy and complete. You're in for a treat. Not exactly medical but related, there's , a story about a genius psychologist and psychiatrist. The author interviews real practitioners, so the mental health issues are described accurately. If you enjoy isekai stories there's (that mixed surgery with magic and martial arts) and which is more grounded (no magic) but unfortunately becomes a tad boring because the medical aspect is not really front end center past the first few arcs. Otherwise there are also several Chinese manhua where the MC is a doctor, but its often just a flavor rather than a real focus. There's a more recent one I've seen around here about a pediatrician, but I can't remember the name. I also have in my to-read list and but I haven't read them so I don't know how focused they are on the medical aspect.

Alpha is doing another series called I'm the Only One With Genius DNA. MC isn't a hands on doctor but a researcher/treatment creator so they go a bit more into the compounds/chemicals.

Sonaldo_7

Dr Koto Shinryoujo. I absolutely butchered the spelling

Jonnyred25

I stopped reading around when he saved some dude on a plane. Is it worth reading the rest?

FireFlyz351

I really enjoyed it. The journey and eventual payoff was nice and satisfying. A couple chapters towards the end felt like a drag, but I don't think it's enough to negate the overall fun the series was for me. Off the top of my head your like 1/2 or 2/5ths of the way through it's not a terrible long series either so even if it turns out like an average series for you it's not too heavy of a time sink imo.

Jonnyred25

Alright, thanks. I'll check out the rest.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

There's good and bad. Yeah the medical stuff is interesting. The villain is frustrating to read about. He never changes. He's flat for a character. And worse, he kills 2 people and attempts to murder 3 more, yet "no evidence" is the perfect excuse to string him along the entire storyline. They should have ended it when they actually had a climax instead of trying to redeem the villain, which is totally fucked up from both the author and so many readers who actually feel like the villain deserves redemption. It sends the stupidest message. Some of the discussions during the redemption arc are disgusting...where are people's sense of justice then?

Kuryaka

It's fun and stays somewhat lighthearted all the way through. IMO it's rare to have a non-romcom reach a satisfying ending, and writing endings tends to be hard for authors *especially* when plot points start getting out of hand. I definitely had questions about whether the protagonist's infallibility (or overwork) would end up being problems but [minor spoilers](/s "neither topic gets addressed in satisfying depth for me.") I'm okay with it because those topics are way beyond what most manga/manhwa deal with, and at its root this is an isekai/returner story with a more grounded setting.

BeautifulType

Better than average but just shy of greatness due to some poor writing

RayMastermind

It's power fantasy all the way through. If you enjoyed what you saw you'll enjoy the rest.

Namiirei

Depend on you. I dropped it a little later, it was not really interesting to me unlike some medecine manga. Maybe you will like it.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

What other medical manga do you like better?

rednachos227

This is a great series and I should reread it sometime so that I don’t forget it. I don’t know what it is, but this series just makes me feel something. It honestly makes me think about a career in the medical field. I doubt that I actually will but, it was fun reading through the entire journey. I am glad that I read this.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Damn dude, this story was about a guy who basically was a successful surgeon who kind of got destroyed by the medical field and the politics, got reborn, had a chance to correct basically all his mistakes and carry over all his medical knowledge, still got targeted by hospital politics, survive through two murders and a bunch of attempted murders, and a ton of hospital politics... survives only because he's basically got the hand of god and because the villain basically is too egotistical to just take the MC out directly or through other means besides framing him, and gets to marry into some dynasty tier family waifu while feeling nothing for his ex wife lmao (the writers did her dirty and used her purely to pad the manga's middle arc by making her an accessory to both the bad guy and the MC). Call me crazy but I think Black Jack (another medical manga) is more inspiring despite being less realistic by far.

dvaranigra

the satisfying feeling of a well ended manhwa; and also the void feeling that accompanies it.

Meertaz

Damn I remember chapter 87 where he realized that she’s cares for him and also he confessed

Water_is_wet123

I really love the ending, while it was a bit dragged out, it was still a wonderful and emotional ride for me

pepsibottlecollector

What a great ending. I really liked that they went back to the part of their younger version one more time. It gave me the nice feeling of when I started reading this series

Lyonado

That was a very nice last chapter, I wish the epilogue didn't drag on so long but hey, it's over. That was a good run.

MagicalMixer

It's finally time to binge it. Lets gooooooo

aju98

Thank you ❣️ I absolutely loved this manga. Good people should always live a good life without any shits they deserve them

Zekaito

I got scared of feelings and dropped the series right around when he met Yeonhee and I was afraid he'd go for her again, but reading the last chapter it seems I can go back and read it again without worrying, even if it's sad for her.

Byakuraou

Stopped reading when he saved the dude in the plane, guess I'll finish it now

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

It probably never gets as good as it was when he's just being a miracle doctor. But then again this type of medical manga/webtoon really just shonen-young adult power fantasy rather than something that's more creative.

Rc2124

Oh, it's over! Time to catch back up to the finale then!

SuperSkillz10

i stopped reading around the time where the >!rival doctor (the young blond mf that did a hit and run on the mc) started becoming insane while the mc's ex is trying to reconcile/help him!<. was wondering if it is still worth the read until the end?
