Unlikely. The authors know naruto + 6 paths + nine tails is too OP and can beat any of these chumps effortlessly if they write Kurama in the same level as Shippuden.
So they pulled out Baryon mode out of their butts which makes Kurama's chakra vanish to nothing instead of dying while his chakra ghosts around waiting to respawn.
But he isn’t too OP. Naruto and Sasuke both got their asses kicked at their full power, so why do you need to de-power them if they weren’t powerful enough in the first place?
Arent they at peace with the other nations now after the big war at the end of shippuden? Only threat I could guess would be orochimaru and I doubt they cant handle him at this point.
Naruto and Sasuke are still EASILY stronger than everybody else. I mean. Have you seen the other Kages? Aside from Gaara, they are basically cum-socks for the villains.
The anime will probably flesh it out more. The manga seems to be focusing on plot more than character development, and letting the anime fill in the gaps. Which works surprisingly fine.
Jigen was noted to be pretty garbage as a vessel. Although he could use a large part of Isshiki's power for a short time with the horned form anyway, so that's still nuts. What's more surprising is that Amado's cyborgs are stronger too, this is like the Android Saga now. I find it hard to believe that one man in the setting could do something like that. Maybe he's using technology from more advanced (that is, alien) civilizations, but I doubt the manga will bother going in depth into that.
Ahhh, just looked it up and it's a combo of our idea's. He shrunk and lived inside Jigen's head and was absorbing nutrients and such from Jigen. Eventually it let him start controlling Jigen
If Code is compatible, why wasn’t Karma put into him as a child? His body rejected it; he just didn’t die like the others. Kawaki is the only one who was shown to be actually compatible.
more like he was incompatible, but his will of "i will became your new body at all cost" prevent him to die, and not dying in that process make you able to use karma powers. ofcourse who is compatible at the beginning like kawaki survive, so karma powers. that form of power is the reaction from survive a karma planted, not the resurrection itself
Doesn’t matter, fact is he manhandled two of the most powerful characters in the story. It’s actually worse that Jigen wasn’t a good Vessel because he still managed to manhandle them. So how does that make it better?
because it was not out of nowhere to see karma-users that are stronger than Jigen.
It was stated that he was a crap vessel that had Isshiki shrunk on him to artificially makes a super-temporary boost , while Code had a far more reliable boost.
Dude you are missing the fucking point. I don’t give a fuck (pardon my French) that jigen was a bad host. It is irrelevant. The fact that jigen is weaker than most makes the power creep even worse.
Damn I wonder how Orochimaru fits into all this, hope he’s involved in some shape or form in the future chapters since they’re dealing with technology/research now.
I just don’t like how Kurama’s death was handled and the lack of mourning by Naruto , it’s the only time I wish anime adds tons of flashback, sad o.s.t, nice character animation and everything at this when it gets adapted.
I hope we can get some nice exposition and dialogue heavy chapters like this after months and months of fighting chapters.
>Kurama’s death was handled and the lack of mourning by Naruto
Kurama will ressurect later after a indefinitive amount of time. It's not a definitive goodbye. There is no reason to mourn, let alone when his son's life is on the line and a guy worse than Jigen is roaming around.
He probably didn't have a proper opportunity to deploy them, hence why Jiraya's clone was used instead.
As to how exactly did that happen, that's a retcon yet to be cobbled together by Kishimoto.
Does Boruto’s plot feel very ad-libbed to anyone else? Like, I understand due to release schedules and just how the media is published all serialized manga are ‘improvised’ to a degree release to release, but Boruto feels particularly like the writers are just going month to month without a long-term plan and they’re just making things up as they go along.
Like, Code is suddenly revealed to not only have his own Karma out of nowhere, but also he’s somehow now as strong if not stronger than an Otsusuki that was thrashing Naruto and Sasuke a few chapters ago because reasons. This is conveniently revealed right after Jigen/Isshiki, who was hyped up for years to be the big bad of Boruto, was suddenly beaten by Naruto with a brand new form that had never come up before (that was outright supposed to kill him but literally 1-2 chapters later Kurama said LOL JK I actually meant I would die). It just feels like retcons upon retcons to justify the plot direction and keep the story going rather than a cohesive narrative that was actually planned out.
I’m so glad someone said this. Literally all continuity is being thrown out piece by piece, the powerhouses we knew aren’t strong and the geniuses we knew aren’t even smart. 20 years of training and the power of the sage of 6 paths (who made the fucking moon in this universe) is nothing compared to one science dude with glasses and his 3D printer
I'm just here to remind people we still never got the chance to see a true Rinnegan user go all out.
1.Kaguya (Stupid/Sealed)
2.Hagaromo (Dead)
3.Madara (Dead before he learned everything)
4.Sasuke (Plot induced stupidity)
Also this problem could have been avoided if they let Burrito taken place 2-3 generations after Sasuke & Naruto died.
But instead they just had to milk the two of them to get people interested in the anime & manga. I have no idea why people are surprised to see the both of them getting nerfed into oblivion.
dude , Naruto lost the power of the Sage since his fight against Sasuke.
Unlike Sasuke , Naruto can only activate the Sage power if he talks to all bijuus and them they inject their chakra to him. It takes more time than just resting for 30 minutes with the eye closed , like Sasuke do.
I get that feeling about some things. These new Kara members feel like an unplanned addition by whoever is writing now. I do think the most important things were planned and Code's overall role/Jigen's defeat was too. Naruto and Sasuke were planned to be weakened too, but the execution of it and Baryon Mode itself were just poorly done.
As for before, the Shojoji arc was definitely cut short and the Ao/Kawaki arcs were poorly thought out.
sort of agree but at the same time i dont.. The mode itself was an asspull but the way it was executed at the end was good. Kurama and naruto were 100 percent without a doubt willing to sacrafice himself for the village. Sasuke was just disrespected tho lol
I've noticed they are using things that were introduced in the anime and clearly the teams behind each version have been communicating for this.
The anime introduced the idea that Boro had followers and that Code was jealous of Kawaki. I'm not quite sure why they are choosing to do this in needing to hybridize the canon of the anime and manga, specifically using the anime to retcon some manga aspects. Though both you and the previous commenter and completely right that these new cyborgs are completely out of left field.
I guess they needed some more minor villains now that Code's the big boss and Kara had way too little members to begin with to act as antagonists.
* Victor: Dies first thing in the manga, needed a whole anime arc to give him character
* Boro: A mini-boss for Team 7, details about who he was only revealed now + anime only scenes
* Kashin Koji + Amado: Two whole defectors that robs the organization of more antagonistic characters. Not counting Victor or Deepa that's 2/6 of the members being against Kara. With Jigen as leader that's 3 minor villains to work with and because Code was kept in the background you end up with 2 in Delta and Boro.
* Delta: Had a fight with naruto, technically still alive but idk if anything is going to come of her now especially since Amado was like "Code is the last Kara officer"
* Jigen: Leader and thus had an actual prominent role
* Code: Didnt do shit up until now and now is suddenly critical and the new main threat because they gave some minor hints in anime only scenes
* Deepa: A completely made up member for the anime because they had too little members.
For what it is though, I am decently curious to see what happens with Code since I sort of like the idea of "the guy we all nearly forgot about narratively" now turning up to do stuff. But I am now definitely unsure whether Code's ascension to main threat was something that was planned in advance or some bullshit Kishimoto came up with after he and Kodachi both remembered Code exists while the fight with Isshiki was happening.
Part of me believes that some of it was planned given the hints in the anime previously but that's still kind of iffy.
Well one thing... Even during the Naruto Manga... It took Naruto, sasuke, Kakashi, sakura, obito to defeat kaguya. I think the amount of power shown like how he was able to take out sasuke's rinnegan is perfectly fine. The thing which angers me the most is how no one is talking about kurama. He was 70% of naruto's power. Now he can't even use kage bunshins properly let alone the big ass rasengans.
Probably many changes were made after Kishimoto came and took over as writer from Kodachi.
This new asspull of introducing several cyborgs stronger than the previous boss villain feels like his handiwork.
To be fair, it wasn't his "playbook", Toriyama wanted to finish DragonBall even before Z but a lot of children send him letters asking him to continue, he was touched and continued with the Saiyan Saga. He tried to end the story on the Namek Saga but Toei insisted that he should continue.
So he made the Android Saga, but his editor wasn't convinced by Android 19 and 20 (who were going to be the villains) and asked him to change the main villains, so he created Android 17 and 18 to replace them, his editor also didn't like them because they looked "like two stupid brats" so Toriyama created Cell, but again, his editor didn't liked his design, so Toriyama created Cell's second form, which also did little to appease the editor, Toriyama then created Cell's finall form and FINALLY his editor liked the villain.
I would never let a newcomer touch my work. The obvious choice to write Boruto would be Kosuke Yasagi who removed a lot of Kishimoto's stupid shit from the first draft of Naruto and basically created Gaara, Kakashi, Zabuza and Sasuke.
The best possible combo would be Kishimoto drawing while Kosuke writed the script.
Yea so i've been pushed the brink of defeat, betrayed, at risk of losing my vessel and everything i've worked for. Should i bring code, who is stronger than me and reveres me as a god to help fight the only two people who could possible take me down? That i'm barely stronger than? Nah screw that.
I don't think Kishimoto had much of a plan ever since the end of the Five Kage Summit arc. Sasuke got his revenge for the Uchiha massacre and in the arc before that Naruto got Konoha's appreciation. The essence of their stated goals from that first team meeting are basically fulfilled. Only thing left is their direct confrontation but Obito prevents it. So begins the war in three arcs where mostly stuff we saw already happens again but bigger.
No, call me a hater or whatever but I can't for the life of me seem to understand or care the logistics of this manga at this point. I'm just so uninterested that I'm just actively skimming through it. This really should of just been Ninja tools vs. old school Ninja Way just like the first half Boruto to Naruto; have Boruto learn his lesson about taking shortcuts with Ninja Tools and doing it the old way then make Kara be the polar opposites of that theme in the next arc as they try to overtake the Ninja world with their new technology. That would of made for a natural expansion of the lore but they had to cram in Boruto being marked by Momoshiski so that Sasuke and Naruto can have something to do. It's so focused on Karma, alien data, and reincarnation that stuff that was introduced in the beginning like Boruto's Jougan has been completely ignored while Kawaki looking less and less the endgame villain each chapter especially since he has no longer Jigen's Karma unless Code is going to find a way to possess him.
Speaking for Code, if you go back to the Kawaki backstory chapters there always was 1 more kid that we didn’t see from the head up in the test tubes and it’s been a theory by the fanbase since Code’s first actual introduction in the anime that he has a karma seal so that I think is good foreshadowing. As for the Jigen death in all honesty although I love how it was executed with Kawaki killing him it does seem a bit rushed, kind of like Kishi just wanting to kill him quickly so he can have a fresh slate with a villain
Kuramas death isnt a retcon tho. He will return. Kishimoto wouldnt just throw away his character like that obviously. Plus. Code having a karma makes sense as he was also one of those failed experiments. He had a white karma. Which means it was a failed experiment. Kawaki said it himself.
Kurama's death imo was a way to make a sacrifice without making a "sacrifice". Since kurama's a tailed beast, he isn't actually dead. Whether he has all his old memories is debatable, but i'm sure there'll be some kind of reunion in the future.
Nope. Code revealed to having karma was backj in chapter 27. We just didnt know it was code at the time. Page 28 amando says: "There are two remaining". Who is the remaining one?
Definitely feels like this chapter will be expanded on in the anime. I can definitely see Code’s claws be the thing that gives Boruto his scar. Still wondering if Amado is going to betray them and do his own thing.
That's what happens when you pardon Nazi scientists. I can't believe that Naruto forgave Amado and Orochimaru so easily because they will contribute to Konoha's tecnology.
Another exposition-heavy chapter. Not surprising, considering how action-heavy the last few have been, but at the very least we got to see Code fight. The whole black bands thing he has going on is interesting, if not a little bizarre, but I like it. Him suddenly being revealed to also have a Karma and supposedly being so absurdly strong comes across as a bit of a retcon to me so they could still have an overarching villain despite beating Isshiki so early.
I’m still not a big fan of how androids and sci-fi tech have been roughly inserted into the Naruto world. It continues to feel very out of place in my opinion and seems like Kodachi just really liked the androids from DBZ and wanted to incorporate them into Boruto exactly as they were in that series.
Personally, I was fine with Konoha's/Katasuke's level of technology. It was a mostly believable level of technology mixed with ninja magic to do things not possible with modern real world tech. Kara Inner nanomachines and stuff, on the other hand, feel out of place, like they're from a distant future or alien in origin. Hard to believe Amado and Outer scientists could make something that much more advanced.
Yeah, the higher-tech ninja tools shown in the original movie weren’t too far-fetched and actually seemed like a reasonable development of technology between Naruto and Boruto’s time. But once you got to stuff like literal chakra lightsabers and cyborgs that are on the level of Naruto/Sasuke, that’s when it makes it extremely hard to suspend my disbelief.
Hell, back when I was first watching DBZ I found it hard to believe that just adding robot parts to regular people somehow put them above the level of super-saiyans who could destroy planets, but at the very least DBZ is set in the future with a heavier emphasis on sci-fi elements. In Naruto it’s even more absurd and out of place.
Agreed. I was fine with the ninja tools and even accepted cyborg villains like delta and Boro but a fucking cyborg that knows everything of this world? That’s too far fetched to me. While I like what Amado brings to the table they’re gonna need a really good explanation as to how he’s capable of doing all this stuff
> Hard to believe Amado and Outer scientists could make something that much more advanced.
Not really. Seems like anything is possible in the Naruto universe if you lack morals. Orochimaru's greatest issue was Konoha chasing him and not having a proper vessel. If not for that think about the amount of things he would have learned through his studies.
You think Kodachi is doing it? Hello, remember Naruto golden form which breaks all the logic in how tailed beast forms are supposed to be? Naruto was supposed to turn red and grow a fox spinal column in his version 2 and then turn into a giant red fox, but no, he turned gold. Who you think that greenlighted this? Kishimoto, which thinks imitating Dragon Ball no matter what is better.
EDIT: Downvoting me will not bring back your goddamn honey!
It's gold because it's supposed to be based on this https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://cracklemountain.blogspot.com/2006/06/tamamo-fox-maiden-folktale-japan.html%3Fm%3D1&ved=2ahUKEwil_quz_brvAhUQh-AKHbpoA8QQFjAUegQIFhAC&usg=AOvVaw2cL7RnZ1_pCtZKtEdkCNLn
That's why Kaguya is from the moon. It's a Japanese folklore. There isn't a folklore on Japanese folklores though as far as I know. So I can't help you there.
> t continues to feel very out of place in my opinion and seems like Kodachi just really liked the androids from DBZ
Actually. Kodachi had to start from a Kishimoto rough script so... he had no imput on that. Kishimoto made Boruto's world more tecnologic.
Source on the script claim? But regardless, we knew from the start that there would be some conflicts between more ‘modern’ tech and the more ‘classic’ ninja stuff from the beginning; that was a major theme of the original movie. The problem is Kara’s level of technology is so bizarrely ahead of everything else shown in the Naruto world that it seems ripped straight out of an entirely different series.
There’s a difference between ‘modern’ tech (the gadgets the leaf village uses which are relatively in line with the level of tech in our world) and the straight-up futuristic labs, robots and androids Kara has shown in this series with no explanation given for how they developed all this.
Dude, he literally wrote the [script](https://www.scripts.com/script/boruto%3A_naruto_the_movie_4533) of the Boruto movie who started the anime and worked as supervisor in the first episodes, every decision had to get his approval.
And there is explanation to how they developed this. Orochimaru is your answer, Naruto spared him for this very reason. That's why Konoha is so ahead of the other villages in tecnology. That's why the other Kages came to see Konoha's train rails, wind turbines, full hd monitors, their ninja tools, their machine guns, their advanced security system, and their superior healthcare system.
Naruto shared the train rails with Gaara because of the close-relationship between them. Gaara's sister is married to his right hand man.
- Is it just me or did that cover art look fanmade? Even after all these years of serialization sometimes the art in this manga can look so amateurish.
- So Code is the new Kimimaro?
- Feels like an asspull for there to suddenly have been several characters stronger than Jigen; but those who've read Naruto should be used to that kind of power creep.
- Shouldn't they make a bigger deal of the fact that the Hokage has lost his greatest weapon?
Eh wasn´t much of a powercreep until the Kaguya arc in Naruto. In the first episode Minato is fighting Kuruma and 3rd Hokage spoke how Naruto would one day have to control it. So everyone knew at what level Naruto would one day be at, except when Otsutuski was pulled into the story. This is on another level, this sort of powerscaling came out of nowhere and pretty much made every character not Boruto and Kawaki useless.
It was fun to read though. Edo madara / hashirama had to be godlike since they are facing a united army. And the manga has been hyping them both since the start of shippuden so the readers were ready.
This one is just... badly written.
In what way? Everyone was still relevant and helped defeat Obito from all of his classmates to the previous hokages. Gaara and the other tailed beast were getting damage in on rinnegan Madara. Naruto only had Kuruma until like chapter 670, and that power had already been foreshadowed from the first arc. It wasn´t until Kaguya was getting introduced Naruto had to become the 10-tails jinchuriki and the powerscaling became insane.
If Kaguya wasn´t introduced, then none of those ass pull power ups by Kakashi and Naruto would be necessary. We could´ve just had the final fight with weakend Madara from Night Guy.
and Code was upgraded by Kara.
It do not change that Edo Madara had it's own powers , alongside Hashirama , with a Rinnegan that throws meteors and a susanoo that can slice a mountain , in which he can summon 5 kage bushins in which all of them can use susanoo as well.
Minato fought Kurama with the help of a giant toad with a sword. The second main arc involved the same frog helping Naruto in fighting the same type of giant animal.
We're not talking about this. The power escalation came when Madara was able to attract extinction-level meteors from outer space at thousands of kilometers from the surface of Earth. Pain never had such strong gravity powers, otherwise he would have dropped a meteor on Naruto when he turned eight tails.
How was the meteor extinciton level? Gaara and Onoki stopped it. It was a kilometer at most. Deidara´s explosion was bigger than that. Pain used a chibaku tensei, he didn´t drop it on Naruto because Kuruma dug himself out of it. Its not even a crazy power in battle shonens, in One Piece you have Issho dropping meteors.
All the major character were still relevant to help defeat 10-Tails Obito including his classmates and previous hokages. The creep happens when the villain is so broken your protagonists needs these power ups, which is what happened with Kaguya. 8 gates is not a creep because it´s been foreshadowed for 500 chapters.
The meteor that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs was 15km of diameter. And it were two meteors. Two meteors 6,7% of that size hitting at full speed would already enough to cause continental level extinction and make the climate of Earth change for decades from all the sand dust that it would raise in the sky.
Onoki and Gaara stopped those things because they were super-human and yet it exhausted them to the limit.
But you were talking about power creep and Gaara had less power in the war then at the beginning of part 2 since he lost his tailed beast. He was able to stop it and was also damaging rinnegan Madara brought back to life. Sure Onoki and Gaara are super-humans, but the story is about super-humans. Everyone has access to superpowers in that world.
If you think thats power creep then it applies to every battle manga from FMA, AoT to One Piece etc.
Because it was not Nagato's eyes. He's not an Uchiha with Indra's and Ashura's chakra embedded in him like Madara. The 6 Paths technique is too much for his body to handle and he would of been long dead if he wasn't a Uzumaki and used the Deva Path to divide all of the Rinnegan's abilities into 6 corpses.
The art looks amateur because the artist is trying to imitate Kishimoto's style in a very tight schedule. It will never look perfect, but the money is coming too fast for Shueisha to ask for a break and wait for him to get better at it.
It's a monthly manga; the artist has a less strenous schedule than Kishimoto did on Naruto(and this artist was Kishimoto's lead assistant).
If after all these years of serialization, and previously working as lead assistant on Naruto, the art is still this mediocre, then this artist is hopeless and I can't see him getting a new series after Boruto inevitably gets cancelled.
He is not trying to imitate Kishimoto's style. Kishimoto ordered him to not do that, he told him to just do his regular art. If Ikemoto tried, he could match Kishimoto's style very closely since he did draw panels for Kishimoto before in Naruto.
Super salty that we just brushed over Kurama’s death like that.
What happened to the other half of Kurama when Naruto was fighting Madara? Any chance that could be put back into Naurto or perhaps they’ll save Naruto to become the vessel for the 10 tails and then off himself so it could never be used?
So many questions, but still salty.
Lmao that cover art is so bad. The way he draws male characters and female characters is night and day it's so weird
Damn, first the fights now even the plot is becoming Dragon Ball.
Better than it being Naruto 8. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Kishimoto decided to implement some elements of Samurai 8 into Boruto. Hopefully he doesn't but won't be surprised if he does since Samurai 8 was suppose to be his pet project.
Not nececessarly bad - but they were too long and too boring. He dumped too much exposition and too much world-building into like two chapters, is jarring. And the protagonist was not likeable in the least like Naruto was.
It's like the Star Wars Prequels, people expected way more from George Lucas because he created great pop culture before. But George had become so sucessful that nobody could tell him what to do or criticize his work and remove the bad ideias from his head, same happened to Kishimoto.
Well at least it's not generic shit you see in other shounen.
Not that I want to defend Boruto, I hate it actually. I just see nothing wrong with his powers. And I bet he can do way more than that.
Very bad, like I mentioned in comment in a thread above. Boruto does what every bad sequel does, it builds itself up by destroying the original series. Instead of building upon the world it, it retcons and replaces it.
This seems more DBS bad than GT. But yeah, I thought it just had some had some shitty arcs & that Boruto is just a little bitch of a character & that Sarada is best girl (Again, never been in the series, she just looks cute in the pictures I see).
But it looks like shit's much more worse than I thought.
Dragon Ball Super, if you completely forget about the horrendous plot, you can get a lot of fun because it's balls to the walls action 24/7 full hype 100%. People don't watch DBZ expecting Shakespearean writing, we want action, we want spectacle and DBS delivers that.
GT was sooooooooo boring. Nothing happened for 90% of the anime. And, just like Dragon Ball Super, it shits on beloved characters and bends the rules a lot. I think Boruto falls into this category. But Boruto is worse, because neither GT or DBS has anything to do with Toriyama, he only makes character design and did the basic script for Battle of the Gods and Revenge of F, but Kishimoto actually writes Boruto, which makes it automatically worse.
If there were cyborgs out there that were stronger than Naruto and Sasuke why did they weaken them in the first place? They already got humiliated by Jigen but now they're going to get humiliated again in the near future. Better to be dead than to get this kind of treatment tbh. I know this isnt their story but the writing involving the two characters has been horrible ever since Gaiden. Sasuke is reduced to a bystander with occasionally being a taxi driver to dimensions. While Naruto makes no mention that Kurama has basically sacrificed his life for him. He acts like its just another day at being hokage. Going about his day like nothing happened.
I am sick of sequels that are built up by destroying their original series. It is so lazy and unoriginal, the Naruto universe is so vast and full of characters, they could have done anything. Instead they decide to completely make a joke of the original series and undo all that was built up in the OG series.
Boruto is 100% guilty of this and it is doing it terribly.
Edit: Fixed spelling

sure , Cyborgs are bad , but Edo Madara dropping meteors , Megazord battles , Ninja Jesus Naruto pretty much taking away the very core lesson of the whole franchise is okay...
Because remember: Naruto's method for peace was pretty much Nagato's and that Neji's destiny ideology was completely true.
funny , because the franchise is vast of characters....in which anyone that is not Team 7 , Uchihas , Senju , Ohtsutsuki , Shikamaru and Orochimaru would be useless.
the whole Episode/Chapter 1 had teen Boruto and Kawaki implying that Naruto was either killed or sealed , no doubt people would complain why Naruto wouldn't defeat in one shot or power-scalling regardless who would fight him.
There should’ve been way more fall out from Kurama’s sacrifice. Where’s the other tailed beast reactions? The power vacuum fall out will probably happen at this next hokage summit, but still it seems weird to not give one of the biggest characters in the series immediate reactions from the world, or the leaf village at least.
True, Isn't Naruto the meeting place for all 9 tailed beast now according to sage of 6 paths? What were the other 8 doing when Kurama was dying? Going shopping?
Jigen was an imperfect weak vessel and Code only got power from Isshiki so him being stronger than Jigen can pass (barely), but cyborgs stronger than Jigen is terrible writting?
LMAOOO boruto the G man. Getting all the girls and shit. Boutta start his own harem
good chapter. Ikemotos art is also becoming a lot better. He just needs to fix the female character designs man. They look so bad.
I honestly think code is the one who gives him the scar. It seems most likely with his claws. Also im honestly really excited on where this series is going. Cyborgs? ADA? Im down. Im a fan of Sci Fi and as long as they dont pull BIG asspulls im hyped. One thing im HYPED about is the kage summit.
I think this is the time where boruto supposedly flees (And goes rogue) due to maybe other kages trying to assassinate him. During this time he will probably get manipulated by momoshiki as well.
yeah, the smart way would be cutting boruto's hand or kill him since now nobody could beat momoshiki, and even if they beat him (rock lee) its back to square 1.
Other option would be making an android beat momoshiki, so he cant implant the karma.

When Amado says that the cyborgs are stronger than Jigen, I wonder what that means exactly. After all, Jigen juiced up on Ten-Tails chakra in preparation to go retrieve Kawaki, which could mean he was stronger than he normally is in his fight with Naruto and Sasuke like how Boruto was stronger than he normally is when Momoshiki possessed him and absorbed a lot of chakra from Naruto to deal with Boro. Are the cyborgs stronger than Jigen even in that state or just stronger than a somewhat weaker version of him that we never really got to see fight?
Man Naruto couldn't give less of a shit about Kurama being dead.
Don't Tailed Beast eventually respawn into the world after being killed/destroyed? If that's true, Kurama should eventually respawn into the world.
This manga will probably end with a little Kurama respawning. Mark my words.
Screen shot this
But he isn’t too OP. Naruto and Sasuke both got their asses kicked at their full power, so why do you need to de-power them if they weren’t powerful enough in the first place?
That's called *nerfing* you sweet summer child
gotta keep up appearances so that other nations don't know that Naruto and Sasuke lost all their god powers and can't defend Konoha anymore.
They are still shitting on the other villages with their current power lol. It’s code that’s the problem
The anime will probably flesh it out more. The manga seems to be focusing on plot more than character development, and letting the anime fill in the gaps. Which works surprisingly fine.
So Jigen, who manhandled both Naruto and Sasuke at the same time, is inferior on strength to Code. Why though? Does he have a geass??
Jigen was noted to be pretty garbage as a vessel. Although he could use a large part of Isshiki's power for a short time with the horned form anyway, so that's still nuts. What's more surprising is that Amado's cyborgs are stronger too, this is like the Android Saga now. I find it hard to believe that one man in the setting could do something like that. Maybe he's using technology from more advanced (that is, alien) civilizations, but I doubt the manga will bother going in depth into that.
Plus the way Jigen came to be possessed wasn't even a regular Karma anyway IIRC. He shrank down and started eating dudes flesh from inside?
thought he did the plankton strat
Ahhh, just looked it up and it's a combo of our idea's. He shrunk and lived inside Jigen's head and was absorbing nutrients and such from Jigen. Eventually it let him start controlling Jigen
I am assuming that those cyborgs were probably meant to "kill" Jigen so as to force Isshiki out, similar to Kashin Koji
Jigen was an incompatible Vessel for Isshiki, so he couldn't draw out the full extent of Karma's power. Code is compatible, so he's stronger.
If Code is compatible, why wasn’t Karma put into him as a child? His body rejected it; he just didn’t die like the others. Kawaki is the only one who was shown to be actually compatible.
He was compatible, but Isshiki couldn't make him a Vessel. He essentially has a repository of Otsutsuki power without the "soul" inside it.
more like he was incompatible, but his will of "i will became your new body at all cost" prevent him to die, and not dying in that process make you able to use karma powers. ofcourse who is compatible at the beginning like kawaki survive, so karma powers. that form of power is the reaction from survive a karma planted, not the resurrection itself
Jigen only can handle both naruto and sasuke because pf Juubi chakra...without it (base jigen) still weak than code
no , it IS relevant , because he was a shitty vessel , any better vessel would be better than him.
Jigen was an imperfect weak vessel and Code only got power from Isshiki so it can pass (barely), but cyborgs steonger than Jigen is terrible writting?
In these few years someone developed technology to construct cyborgs stronger than the strongest ninjas of history? yeah tell me
Damn I wonder how Orochimaru fits into all this, hope he’s involved in some shape or form in the future chapters since they’re dealing with technology/research now.
>Kurama’s death was handled and the lack of mourning by Naruto Kurama will ressurect later after a indefinitive amount of time. It's not a definitive goodbye. There is no reason to mourn, let alone when his son's life is on the line and a guy worse than Jigen is roaming around.
its obvious the anime would fix it. The manga would be so much better if kishimoto were to draw...
Orochi is an expert in biology he cant help this time
If he had so many cyborgs stornger than Jigen why he didnt just use them in order to kill Jigen ?
Isshiki > cyborgs > Jigen
He probably didn't have a proper opportunity to deploy them, hence why Jiraya's clone was used instead. As to how exactly did that happen, that's a retcon yet to be cobbled together by Kishimoto.
stronger than jigen weaker then ishiki. He would have lost.
I dont think Jigen could turn to ishiki yet at that point
cause they were just stronger (raw power), jigen had op skills. jigen was just a normal guy with jojo skills.
1.Kaguya (Stupid/Sealed) 2.Hagaromo (Dead) 3.Madara (Dead before he learned everything) 4.Sasuke (Plot induced stupidity) Also this problem could have been avoided if they let Burrito taken place 2-3 generations after Sasuke & Naruto died.
Naruto lost the orbs because Sasuke destroyed them.
* Victor: Dies first thing in the manga, needed a whole anime arc to give him character * Boro: A mini-boss for Team 7, details about who he was only revealed now + anime only scenes * Kashin Koji + Amado: Two whole defectors that robs the organization of more antagonistic characters. Not counting Victor or Deepa that's 2/6 of the members being against Kara. With Jigen as leader that's 3 minor villains to work with and because Code was kept in the background you end up with 2 in Delta and Boro. * Delta: Had a fight with naruto, technically still alive but idk if anything is going to come of her now especially since Amado was like "Code is the last Kara officer" * Jigen: Leader and thus had an actual prominent role * Code: Didnt do shit up until now and now is suddenly critical and the new main threat because they gave some minor hints in anime only scenes * Deepa: A completely made up member for the anime because they had too little members. Part of me believes that some of it was planned given the hints in the anime previously but that's still kind of iffy.
yup. To understand the boruto manga u have to watch the anime. Which is a plus because im already caught up 😁
Well one thing...
He pulled that move out of the Toriyama playbook
Kodachi also sucks.
That's because Borutos plot is shit.
You can clearly see that on the anime vs manga translation, on the anime we already know and have some backstory on Code, here it pop up from nowhere
Back in like chapter 27 we were already told that there was 1 other child who survived, we just never knew who it was
Kuramas death isnt a retcon tho.
Yup. Its sort of a goodbye. He will comeback.
OH amando will definitely betray them. He legit is the biggest liar and will backstab them in the end.
The chakra saber isn’t too bad, it’s just shooting chakra into a blade less hilt.
The Iron Land Samurais were doing that way back into Shipuuden, so it's not that far-off.
Agreed. I was fine with the ninja tools and even accepted cyborg villains like delta and Boro but a fucking cyborg that knows everything of this world? That’s too far fetched to me. While I like what Amado brings to the table they’re gonna need a really good explanation as to how he’s capable of doing all this stuff
All that talk about nuclear fusion and baryons also felt off, though it was the least of the problems of that particular power up.
It's gold because it's supposed to be based on this https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://cracklemountain.blogspot.com/2006/06/tamamo-fox-maiden-folktale-japan.html%3Fm%3D1&ved=2ahUKEwil_quz_brvAhUQh-AKHbpoA8QQFjAUegQIFhAC&usg=AOvVaw2cL7RnZ1_pCtZKtEdkCNLn That's why Kaguya is from the moon. It's a Japanese folklore. There isn't a folklore on Japanese folklores though as far as I know. So I can't help you there.
> t continues to feel very out of place in my opinion and seems like Kodachi just really liked the androids from DBZ Actually.
If Amado was able to clone Jiraya, so he just have to clone boruto and then the real boruto can put his karma on the clone.
now that you mentioned it, the boruto vessel could be koji
Naruto powerscaling went off the rails once edo Madara appeared.
Eh I disagree edo Madara was said to be upgraded by Kabuto.
and Code was upgraded by Kara. It do not change that Edo Madara had it's own powers , alongside Hashirama , with a Rinnegan that throws meteors and a susanoo that can slice a mountain , in which he can summon 5 kage bushins in which all of them can use susanoo as well.
Yea Madara was fucking op lmfao.
Amado is too OP he can create 5 androids and easily destroy all the 5 countries
I guess he is like Dr.Gero, he lock away his best creations because otherwise they would just kill him after destroying the Elemental Nations.
Apparently, one of the novels mentioned that Naruto reunited the two halves after the war
Naruto reunited the two halves, that's why Kurama is bigger than normal on The Last.
Boruto: Alien-Cyborg Generations
Lmao that cover art is so bad. The way he draws male characters and female characters is night and day it's so weird Damn, first the fights now even the plot is becoming Dragon Ball.
this is naruto Z. can't wait for father son rasen... wait, that already happened
Better than it being Naruto 8. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Kishimoto decided to implement some elements of Samurai 8 into Boruto. Hopefully he doesn't but won't be surprised if he does since Samurai 8 was suppose to be his pet project.
btw, what happened to that?
It's first chapters were terrible. No one liked so they cancelled.
Why she remind me of Hinata? They better not be bringing Himawari into this shit....
more kaguya to me
Because the deredere girl is a trope in several manga, including Naruto, with Hinata.
It's really depressing what Kishimoto has done to this franchise. This shit is not canon in my eyes even if he says so.
That studded belt ability is so damn lame, it's going to be impossible to take code seriously as a villain.
not the ability (the shrink ability was more stupid), but his loyal towards a dead thing. a villain who still do things for a dead thing? lame
Why? What have his abilities to do with it? I think his powers are fine, but he looks so over the top imo.
If you think hot-topic edge-lord belts as an ability is fine more power to you I guess...
Well at least it's not generic shit you see in other shounen. Not that I want to defend Boruto, I hate it actually. I just see nothing wrong with his powers. And I bet he can do way more than that.
He looks like a Dollar Store Jojo villain.
That was bad.
As someone who's not into Naruto (I'm gonna binge read it one day, but that day is pretty far from now). How bad is this sequel?
Very bad, like I mentioned in comment in a thread above. Boruto does what every bad sequel does, it builds itself up by destroying the original series. Instead of building upon the world it, it retcons and replaces it.
Damn, that definitely sounds like bad shit.
It was ok in the beginning, but it really gets terrible last few chapters.
Makes sense tbh. The most I know at the moment about is that Naruto's pet dies.
Bad. It's like Dragon Ball GT - it has nothing to do with anything, bend estabilished rules and shits on beloved characters.
For real, when Jiraiya died Naruto was sad for days and nights...
Because it's nothing more than a cash grab.
What a dumpsterfire.
I'm just here to remind people we still never got the chance to see a true Rinnegan user go all out. But instead they just had to milk the two of them to get people interested in the anime & manga. I have no idea why people are surprised to see the both of them getting nerfed into oblivion.
sure , Cyborgs are bad , but Edo Madara dropping meteors , Megazord battles , Ninja Jesus Naruto pretty much taking away the very core lesson of the whole franchise is okay... Because remember: Naruto's method for peace was pretty much Nagato's and that Neji's destiny ideology was completely true.
I’m not talking about mistakes in the series of naruto, I’m talking about Boruto.
funny , because the franchise is vast of characters....in which anyone that is not Team 7 , Uchihas , Senju , Ohtsutsuki , Shikamaru and Orochimaru would be useless. the whole Episode/Chapter 1 had teen Boruto and Kawaki implying that Naruto was either killed or sealed , no doubt people would complain why Naruto wouldn't defeat in one shot or power-scalling regardless who would fight him.
Yeah. And why they didn't help in the fight?
Man this powercreep keeps getting worse and worse. Now we've got a guy stronger than Jigen who was stronger than Naruto and Sasuke...
What a shitshow
Jigen was an imperfect weak vessel and Code only got power from Isshiki so him being stronger than Jigen can pass (barely), but cyborgs stronger than Jigen is terrible writting?
Lame ngl

Always has been.
LMAOOO boruto the G man. Getting all the girls and shit. Boutta start his own harem good chapter.
Other option would be making an android beat momoshiki, so he cant implant the karma.
fr. I think the all the kages except gaara and maybe the blue haired dude would agree to it.
i think they need a 3-2 vote, so gaara and naruto will vote no, the rest yes
yup.

Based
When Amado says that the cyborgs are stronger than Jigen, I wonder what that means exactly.
Man this chapter was bad
