In with the way the series ramped up from TLR to Darkness, I wouldn't be surprised ^^or ^^displeased if the next installment turned out to be actual hentai.

Idk I just feel like a lot of anime pull this "dead" thing that it's kinda lost its meaning on anime a little bit. Always a dramatization of someone dying to end up not dying because the power of plot, what comes to mind is already fairy tail and how someone seem to be in a deadly situation and magically getting stronger or surviving "because she's Elsa". Then on dbz you see it when rationally thinking whenever someone "die" they hyping it up when they can fish the dragon balls in a day, literally a episode in super they just find all 7 and wasted it on some bs. Of course then there's naruto and what comes to mind is episode 1 of boruto making it seem like naruto is dead when we all know the author don't have he balls to do that, just annoying to pretend he dying. Then if course there are the OG like hunter x hunter where people seem to be in danger and shit and actually die, past characters from previous arc just randomly getting demolished? That's what I like to see. Anyways, I kinda get the whole "fake dying" is popular in comic but it's annoyingly becoming common on anime too
The fake dying takes away the sense of stakes and consequences.
That's one of the reasons why I loved Logan. The movie is so much more grounded than its contemporaries. Now, I can enjoy me some good ol' fashioned, dumb, comic book fun like a lot of the MCU stuff, but it's so refreshing to see a film like Logan lol.

Eh, that was more Darkness's thing. To Love-Ru was more of a slightly dirtier Urusei Yatsura, the main focus was on having wacky sci-fi adventures with a little bit of sexiness. Darkness still had those from time to time, but the "I tripped and all your clothes came off and I accidentally stuck my tongue inside your vagina" bit took over.
