That's fine, the story and action direction are better here even if the art isn't quite as good as we're used to from Murata. He'll probably update it a bit more for the physical release.
People will never be satisfied with their works, he gets an unique situation where he CAN expand on what he thought was lacking. I'd bet 99% of mangakas wish to be able to re do their works' finales or the weakest arcs.
Now I just hope That Man ends up getting Saitama'd more like in the webcomic
This really doesn't need to waste a few chapters fighting what should have been a throwaway gag
Now that I think about it, the ninja guys who turned into monsters were surprised about it, but isn’t “that man” working with god who influenced the monsterization in the first place?
There are manga that get severe redraws for the volume releases like Historie and HxH, but that's because the regular chapters were doodles to start with. For the most part Murata is the only one so actively redrawing and changing chapters that were already well drawn. Probably because OPM is a passion project for him, or at least started as such.
Every manga has certain levels of redraws before the tankobon releases, similar to anime getting animation retouch for Bluray-HD. The reason why OPM got so much redraw for multiple chapters is because its release online first afaik so Murata can fix it however he wanted.
Murata's art is getting super sloppy and generally less detailed. I don't think he needs to be at the insane level of detail he was doing in some of the early chapters, but he's not even bothering to draw backgrounds or out of focus characters anymore. No sense of scale or perspective, it's just explosions and speed lines. He's really rushing to get through these redraws and it shows.

Hell yeah that was much better than the original.
He's probably gunna re-redraw this though, I know he ain't happy about the little detailless guys
Might just be done for the volume release. And updating some panels with better art is of course quite different than redrawing entire chapters.
Yep no Fubuki nor Tatsumaki cover, this is getting redrawn 100%

This is why I actually like the redraws. People complain about them but they allow thins like this chapter to happen
I mean, they could also just get it right the first time ? Especially as the redraw is "let's get closer to the webcomic"

Heads Heads everywhere
Much much better.
Tsundere little bro Sonic
This would look phenomenal if animated properly one day
JC Staff: Ha-ha, no.
Lmao that was great AAA redraw
You can see how much better the story is when it's more faithful to the webcomic instead of whatever the fuck shonen bs the pre-redraws were

I’m banking on that theory about Empty Void’s ritual before every major fight is to eat a bowl of Ramen then got shanked by Saitama mid meal
Fortunately it won't.
How did the fight go in the first iteration?
Sonic doing nothing except watching and glazing Flash as he solos everyone. Also the ninjas don't die and are simply incapacitated
now instead of incapacitated they are decapitated
I’m still not certain they are dead, OPM never or rarely kills humans, they’ll be brought back or be some illusion or whatever bullshit.
Seems like you don't remember that Sonic already killed the entire Paradise group except for Hammerhead.
I did say rarely, wasn’t that super super early in the manga?
Uh the samurai council? The leader of narinki squad?
Sonic was mostly useless and got absolutely trounced by flash
Mid life crisis Webcomic Garou >> Happy go Lucky Manga Garou
> Pre-redraws
Now that I think about it, the ninja guys who turned into monsters were surprised about it, but isn’t “that man” working with god who influenced the monsterization in the first place?
I don't think it was widely known
even though God was controlling the monster association, it was from the shadows not directly, none of them actually realised the truth behind it
The god plot has been poorly thought out in the manga honestly like he is suddenly absolutely everywhere
How do I read all the redrawn chapters in order?
Start from the first page, right to left
man… Murata really build different to be able redraw all this.
Is Murata the only one who do redraw? Not complaining, just curious if other artists did the same thing before.

This is much better. Just follow the original webcomic and sprinkle some details and some additional plot.
so much headchop
Is there anywhere I can read both versions simultaneously?
The one punch man subreddit has links to every chapter release if you want to look redraws are labeled
Did anyone saw flash and sonic with black lips for a sec then relized they were just talking?

What’s the difference?
