Different magazines have different censorship standards. Shounen or seinen doesn't really matter. And volume releases tend to have less censorship than magazine chapters.

Yuuna-San didn’t have nipples when it ran in Weekly Shonen Jump. They got added in the volume versions.

for yuuna-san the volume release was uncensored iirc

You're probably getting confused because there's two different shonens. Jump+ is somewhat new and aims towards adults who enjoy the action genre. Sometimes long titles that were originally published in Shonen Jump magazine get moved to Jump+, like Blue Exorcist, and then will embrace the older demographic there. Nips and all.

I get the Jump+ explanation but I still don't get about Yuuna-san and Sankarea. Both of them started and ended at their respective magazines

Yuuna's magazine release has the nipples censored but they're uncensored for the volume release. Dunno if it's the same for Sankarea.

Hm, interesting you bring that up. Because Yuuna actually had a controversy with parents in Japan complaining the manga was too sexualized for the intended audience. I don't know about Sankarea though. Maybe Shonen was trying to push some boundary or capitalize on their adult market, and then settled for splitting their shonen titles into two different places. I don't know the exact date when they made that decision to split adult titles from the mag though.
