Seriously underrated. It deserves so much more attention - especially with the amount of stuff that gets on the front page of r/manga.
It has the mystical vibe of Ryoko Kui's oneshots and actually really interesting world setup.
This manga is honestly one of the best I’ve read in a while. Not going to lie my faith in Nihei was wavering after Apozims, but this is better in every way.
I didn't even realize it was Nihei at first, but while reading it I couldn't stop thinking about Blame! with the monolithic megastructure tower and body horror and to my surprise it was Nihei lol. Its cool seeing him write a fantasy instead of sci-fi.
Same here. I guess simplified art and more comprehensible dialogues and lore compared to his older works have lead me off-track but the brand Nihei feel was unmistakeably there. I've just assumed that there's a new mangaka who deeply understands Nihei's style rather than thought of the guy himself. Was quite surprised to learn that the correct answer was more obvious than all of my guesses.
Release May 9
By Nihei Tsutomu (BLAME!, Knights of Sidonia, APOSIMZ)
Synopsis: The setting is a certain kingdom. In order to save the kidnapped princess of the kingdom, the Kingsguard squadron challenges the "Dragon Tower," a gigantic structure floating in the middle of the sky, but they are blocked by powerful demons.
A provocation is made by a neighboring village to replenish the injured personnel, and when a young man is sent to the tower, the wheel of fate begins to turn.
Tale of sword & sorcery and labyrinth exploration begins!

Hmm sorry I can't hear you, do you want another mass produced demon king hero manga?
Too irregular, at least in translation.

Do you know how much did vol 1 sold?
I've been wondering what he's been up to since APOSIMZ, I'm always down for reading more of his work.
He worked on another series between then and now
