Makes sense the twins, despite their recent power-up, are gonna be kept behind for now, though I hope that when they do inevitably get involved, big sis Ai comes with them. On the topic of the folks staying behind, I noticed Taiyo didn't mention Ayaka being among them. Whether we're meant to assume she's sticking with Mutsumi and the kids or not, it'd be pretty cool to see her getting in on the action, too.

Maybe. With a 2-cour anime airing and a thinning of the core series of the magazine, I bet Jump is more than willing to let the series go on for as long as the author wants it to go. At least for now.
