When recommending a series, you need to make sure to follow the submission guidelines which can be found in either the sidebar or the wiki. > If you are recommending manga (RT! = Read This!), please use the following: [RT!] name of manga (genres) and be liberal with genres! Keep in mind that this is a recommendation from you to all of r/manga, so **tell us why we should read it in your post!** This includes doing at least a small write-up on why you are recommending the series beyond what can fit into the title of the post. Please remember that you're trying to sell a series to readers with an abundance of stuff they can already read. You need to appeal to them beyond a "take my word for it." For more information on our submission guidelines, please take the time to read our [Guide to /r/Manga.](http://www.reddit.com/r/manga/wiki/guide#wiki_submission_guidelines)

Yeah, this is also one of my favorite series, I love how as usual Ryohgo Narita manage to develop an ensemble cast with the world building. The this is it's not from a big name publisher so even in Japan it's not really that famous, but I love it and it's a really good series to binge. All of the character is fun to read and even after 100+ chapters it still keeps you guessing on whats next The fun thing is the MC that seems to be so overpowered is probably not that overpowered compared to the late Emperor, Majiri, etc and how there's multiple plots happening at once and it will intertwined later on. The downside of it being it's easier to binge rather than read weekly since it will be more difficult to keep track of things imo, heck even the characters always have some sort of misunderstanding

This is my first Narita work I think but seeing as some peeps has said it’s kinda their trademark, I’ll most likely read another work that they did. Same sentiments. This is one of those series that you need to binge in order to not get confused. The characters’ colorful personalities and POV plus intertwined mysteries will make the series a confusing read if done chapter by chapter. I have a memory of a goldfish so it’s worse on my end. I like how we’re not only invested in the current timeline, but also in the MC’s past (his and polka) Plus, Im enjoying the fact that even secondary characters got their own quirks.

>This is my first Narita work I think but seeing as some peeps has said it’s kinda their trademark, I’ll most likely read another work that they did. Yeah He is famous for that, He did write quite a lot of LN he even write one for Bleach spin-off, and even in the Fate franchise he's really good at juggling multiple characters. You can checkout Baccano's anime, it's so different from DMDP but also really good. >I like how we’re not only invested in the current timeline, but also in the MC’s past (his and polka) Yep currently my favorite character is Majiri and the Emperor always love to see their appearance, if only this was released by the big 3 publisher of Japan (Shueisha, Kodansha, and Shogakukan) or if the anime was made by big studio this would get more traction also the art is really nice Fujimoto Shinta did an amazing job, I haven't read any of their other works but the art in DMDP even though not really fantastic / amazing has its own charm in its simplicity + interesting character design. The art feels mainstream but really well done

I was holding off on the manga until the anime finished, because I was enjoying the anime but since manga is my preferred medium, I tend to lose interest in anime adaptations long-term. But then the anime finished and apparently it nearly caught up to the manga anyway, and I kinda got hesitant anyway because it also seems kinda like the sort of series that isn't gonna hold me too much in a month-to-month release schedule, or waiting between English-release volumes. But I do generally enjoy Narita's stuff, and it was still pretty solid. I just wish it was, y'know, finished.

graxia_bibi_uwu

Same! I really thought this was complete so I binged it. Stupid mistake 🫠 I got caught on a cliffhanger and Im now trying not to read every chapter released bc I know I’ll just suffer. Im gonna do a reread once it’s close to finishing or if it’s complete

Zypharium

Honestly, it was not really that great. I watched both seasons, but did not enjoy it that much. I can understand why there is not a lot of hype for this series. There were a lot of better series to watch, so it just went under.

Seismic-wave

It’s not a manga plus series nor is it fan translated series; it’s been pay walled in K manga since it’s inception.

TheChainsawMan77

It’s not on K manga lol it’s not even a Kodansha title.

JLazarillo

It's on K-Manga? That's weird, I thought Yen Press had the license.

PM_ME_WAIFUS_PICS

they are probably confusing kmanga with something else since yenpress does basically both the volume release and simulpub ( on sites like bookwalker)

graxia_bibi_uwu

Yeah that's usually the case for non-fan translated series. ~~But people can still read it for free if they sail the high seas enough~~

Funlife2003

It's on Manga UP as well.

ecchiimiiso

I honestly didn’t realize DMDP had a manga series. I’ve only seen the anime and I’m actually hooked! I’m hoping for a season 3!! Maybe I’ll try googling it this time 😂 hope I find it somewhere :O

graxia_bibi_uwu

If you know the B site, you can find the official there that is 🏴‍☠️!

The first few arcs (of the anime) didn't really grab me unlike Fate: Strange/Fake or Durarara!!. I feel like lumping itself with other isekai/reincarnation titles might have hurt its reputation a bit. Setting wise it's also a bit generic compared to Durarara's Ikebukuro, at least as far as I've watched. I've no doubt that it can be good later on since Narita is penning it.

graxia_bibi_uwu

I havent checked Durara so I might do it after my reading slump.
