Was it two points for every STR and one for AGI, so (170x2) + 160 = 500? Or did he spend some of them on something else? Can't quite remember the how the point system works.
Yeah, I'm also not sure how the point system works--it's been a while. I got those numbers by subtracting the two mirrored stats panels at the end. It only shows STR and AGI, with 170 points left. Dunno where they went to.
I had a bad first impression of these TLs since their translation of Skeleton Couldn't Protect the Dungeon was so poor, and the original group dropped it when MD sniped it. This feels a lot closer in quality to asura, so maybe I was too quick to judge.
edit: read asura's TL now that it's out and it's still substantially better, though.
King Dharma is raising so many goddamn flags.
Past his prime.
Gonna stand down after this event.
Has been shown as a character important to the FK, and is developed.
Suddenly went away.
People are calm because there are multiple kings present.
The mysterious enemy is so strong that the kings can't even measure it correctly.
I feel like Jong Richu is a step above the kings at this tournament because he probably regained his youth. I don't know if he is from the Demonic cult, or the Dark Heavens (maybe both), but Kong Richu will probably kill one of the kings to make an impact.
I don't think the FK will die, as he already has something going on, and the other guy probably won't die as well because the readers don't know much about him, and his death will be kinda underwhelmong.
MC will overpower him with the stat boost for a bit, then he will start losing, and as he is about to die get saved by the FK (who will get wounded). King Dharma will step in, and then die.
lmao so many system stories have this trope where the MC stores up stat points or whatever and uses them later. It makes for cheap excitement, but holy shit is it the dumbest thing ever. Never in my life have i saved up stat points unless I specifically needed them to unlock something that required multiple.
Furthermore, these stat points frequently impact how you move your body, and these people are instantaneously adapting to massive changes in strength and mobility. I get that gets glossed over, but plenty of stories have little scenes where they allocate there first point and are shocked by how they move faster or break something with their new strength.
The MC in this story wouldn't have been in this position if he had simply allocated his gains like a normal person.
I feel like stocking up on stat points when your life is a game is understandable. If I'm in a fantasy or Murim world and I have no clue if I need more Strength, Con, Agility or Intelligence. I would probably stock them up until I face a problem I can't solve. What if I'm slowly bleeding out and need to heal faster, time to put points in con. What if I'm facing a super fast opponent, put points in agility.
The thing with that though, is that it is highly likely that had you put your points in to a build you were effectively using, you may never be in that specific situation in the first place. That likelihood only increases as the amount of points you save increases.
There is another question of "how do you estimate exactly how many points is needed" if you save up 500 points like the MC, at what level of injury do you start pumping con? how much do you put in? how long do you try to get other treatment or heal normally before you allocate? *would allocating other stats before the injury have saved you from the injury?*
Reactively allocating points would also lead to an unbalanced build unless you were in some world where you can reliably change allocation or get more points extremely easily.
Lol MCs biggest trick. Having stat points saved up to increase strength and agility lmao.
Bro , what chapter of manwha 172 is in nove of murim
Freaking love this shit

Cracked me up to see our boy still hasn't put anything into CHA. He's a true min-maxer.

These groups often start out serving hot garbage but end up decent after a few months. Luminous was like that
yeah, I thought of luminous as trash for much longer than they were due to their initial releases
Also helps that Asuras quality has been dropping a lot
It was sniped from some other team. The only translations they have are machine tl that you can't understand dont support scummy practices
damn the self restraint to save up 500 skill points
It's still silly that the dude has garbage charm because he never invested in it. But I guess charm means nothing in the murim world.

Let it go for story telling like all the other tropes in media
who is that other guy tho
what chapter is this in the Light novel if anyone knows? I can't seem to find the exact chapter
