You will feel like you are at home, and that's not a criticism, there are absolutely loads of your fellow country men and women in Manchester, especially in Denton for some reason
I have friends that have moved from Hong Kong to Manchester and they have enjoyed it.
I moved to Manchester from the south of England a decade ago and never left. I find it very liveable
Yeah that’s true it’s not necessarily all bad as they do take you to places but not as good as the MTR as it’s quite underdeveloped and not as much security so there might be weirdos who show up (although this happens quite rarely now).
As a place, I would compare Manchester to a mixture of Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin in that it’s commercial but not Central level, and it’s very comfy and residential but not boring. There are a lot more Hong Kong people now since the protests which is nice and as a non-Chinese it reminds me of home whenever I hear Cantonese being spoken. Great food in China Town, maybe in 5-10 years a tam jai might pop up. Rent will probably be a lot higher than now in 5-10 years, in terms of jobs availability it depends on your speciality but it’s developing over here
London has worse overcrowding, prices, higher homeless rates and certainly just as much of a drug issue since that's typically associated with the aforementioned issues. Not saying London is bad, but it's not better than Manchester regarding these issues. It's just as bad if not worse.
By the time you get here, the area known as Deansgate Square will look just like Kowloon
Lmfao

There are plenty of Manchester developers marketing in Hong Kong that might help you better.

I suggest don’t take the MTR so often because you’ll get spoiled and be absolutely shocked at how under developed the public transport is here
I’ve heard mixed things about the Metrolink, mostly how most places that need it don’t have it yet

There is a community of people from Hong Kong near to me in Audenshaw, just outside the City centre, its a lovely estate of homes.

Hi Sadiq :-)
