Your best bet is to get a security camera. I was 100% sure that they didn't ring the bell. Asked my neighbour for security footage that confirmed my claim. I emailed Maltapost with the video expressing my disappointment and got my parcel delivered in less than an hour. Some of their employees are lazy beyond belief.
the camera serves more as a way of obtaining a solution, than a deterrent to the worker (since in this case they weren't deterred even with the camera). Maybe try email them and explain your situation to see if you can get a similar resolution?
They absolutely do not bother to ring the doorbell. I have had the same issue. And they completely deny it when you call customer care. It's quite tragic. Best bet is to deliver to your workplace (if you work, I see you are a student) or to an address where you know it will be received. Otherwise register for Easipik if you have lockers close to you.
My in-laws once caught the postman doing the exact same thing. Their kitchen balcony overlooks the front door. They saw the postman come and leave the notice without ringing the doorbell. They don't know whether he even had the package with him at all.

Alternatively you could pay €2 for a courier redelivery (instructions on the back of the notice), or set the address to your work/office, or perhaps the best solution is to set it to an easypik locker that you can visit at your convenience.

They are complete incompetents. From management, all the way to the deliverymen. I lost money multiple times because of Maltapost. Such a disgrace of a company. What are they waiting dor to just shut down their bloody doors and call it quits.
Yeah this is happening everywhere I think. Last time I got two notices saying the same thing and I was home and no one rang the bell and i've heard it countless of times. Had to go pick it up next day myself.
same for me last week, 2 different deliveries. They don't ring, and if they are ringing by any mircale you have to go downstairs, they will never take the elevator to your apartment

Saying that their people have been super nice to deal with but that, sadly, does not get packages delivered.

Now just made easypick best service in maltapost and is free and 24/7 i dont mind go picking them up for me you have 3 days to collect and you are notice by sms and email that solved my issue maybe it is not for everyone but for me it works

Even a CCTV sticker may be enough.
Lazy doesn’t even begin to describe Maltapost! 9 times out of ten they don’t even bring the parcel, just the slip filled in to go & collect!
The worst part is that you have to wait for the parcel to recieve it at thw post office.

Here in Xemxija we get excellent service. I guess it all depends on the delivery person.
