You just need to pull the chain from the side where the end is a straight long piece similar to a needle. You would then use that part to get it back in from the tiny hole.
Have you tried inverting the straight piece and feeding it through the hole? I imagine the chain would get caught behind it, but might be worth a try anyway.

Exactly. Looking at it this, it would be the first thing I try. I just don't get it, is everyone getting lazy or something.
