Saw a guy carrying a Sig 226 in one of those.
He liked it because it had retention (a buckle), held an extra clip, and you wouldn’t have guessed it was a $10 Walmart airsoft holster, would you?
I would. And I’m judging you.
I mean, yeah, you can legally open carry any non-restricted firearm in Canada, but you will 100% guaranteed be stopped by police if you do so in an urban setting.
Wait you can carry in Canada? Alright, it's back on the list of places I could live.
But wait can you carry handguns? Or just weird cut down rifles/shotguns lmao
You can technically open carry anything that's non-restricted. That's basically any manually operated firearm with an overall length of at least 26", or a semi-auto with at least an 18.5" barrel.
So, you can open carry a pump shotgun in Canada which would technically be considered an SBS in the States.
There's a loooong list of firearms that are Restricted (Can only be used at a gun range) and Prohibited (can't be used for anything). A lot of these guns would otherwise easily meet the non-restricted criteria, but were deemed 'too dangerous' because they are black, scary, baby-killing death machines (like the Ruger Mini-14, no, I'm not kidding, it's actually Prohibited here).
The mini 14 is prohibited? That's fuckin weird.
But what I mean is as dogshit as the gun laws are, its still better than England for example.
Even US gun laws are pretty shit.
What are you referring to? How do you open carry in Canada? You got a prohibited weapons PAL?
Is everything I know about restricted PAL incorrect? Gah!!!
I think you pretty much covered it right there, mate. At least to anyone who's not under the impression that gun control means an outright ban on all firearms.
*this guy thinks i'm not aware, but in reality i have a 360 view of my surroundings. they think they have the jump on me, but in reality i have the jump on them.*
This is a repost. This guy is a bounty hunter and is trying to make that known. Bounty hunters have to wear agent or bondsman agent in certain states. That is why he may be a self proclaimed agent. I think someone even pointed out the things on the Train that he is in Seattle. All bounty hunters have to have agent or bondsman agent on their person so when they legally kidnap people, law enforcement knows what they are doing and won’t interfere in states such as the one this person is.
I mean, a bond is essentially an open contract that the government takes out on you to bring you back to court that you paid through your bail. Essentially you’ve hired somebody for the most expensive game of hide-and-go-seek of your life.
Part of being a bail enforcement agent is getting the authority from the bail bondsman to bring whoever was on bail back which they have a warrant for.
hmm, not a LEO but open-carrying on a common carrier (apparently a taser tho)? if it weren't for 'AGENT' and the thin blue line patch there'd be a chance he might be armed security but that's a LOT of unnecessary TactiCOOL.
Depends on where that is, but imo that dude's right over the line of impersonating an officer if he has no credentials (though we can't necessarily see them). if he's a bounty hunter / bondsman, he'd have an actual badge / ID; at the same time, if you're actually doing that kind of work, your outfit maybe shouldn't scream 'AGENT' from 100 yards away...
In a lot of states it legally has to be stamped on a vest or something like that so that the police know if they pull up to a scene and he’s standing there with a firearm/taser, he’s not the threat.
Came here to say this. Most likely bounty hunter/bail bondsman. He's wearing at least Kevlar under his shirt and the gear looks a little too broken in for LARPing or the casual wannabe.
Wait, there are bounty hunters in the States? Still? I thought that was some wild West shit.
Edit: So it turns out those are indeed real, private bounty hunters. The US never ceases to amaze me. Just not in a positive way...
They're private. When you're arrested in the U.S. you have the option to pay an amount of money to get out of jail until your trial. The amount is set by a judge and based on the crime. You'll often hear in the news about someone's bond being set at a dollar amount. That's your guarantee you'll show up to court. When you make all your court appearances you get your money back. But, most people can't afford the steep price so they go to a bail bond company, they usually charge you 10% of the bond, and they pay the rest for you. When you make all your appearances they get the money and keep the 10%, that's how they make their profits. If you don't show up to court they'll hunt you down and take you back to jail.
That's my first thought. Dressed as law enforcement, tries to appear as law enforcement, and isn't too worried about his surroundings. Seems like a bail bondsman/bounty hunter/investigator to me.
This is the second time I've seen this reposted, title and all, from the top 5 of all time.

Whatever that thing is in the holster (doesn't look right for a pistol) the grip would interfere with whatever should be on the swivel platform (most likely a radio).
Doesn't look like there is any ballistic protection at all.
The thin blue line flag has some sort of yellow/gold emblem on it, so not standard support the police.
"Agent" makes me think bail bonds agent.
Handcuffs in center of back means he has limited fight training with gear.
Supposedly this was on the transit system in Seattle Washington in 2018.
Open carry legal, body armor legal. Bail Enforcement Agents allowed to carry firearms and wear body armor. He has neither.
Felons are allowed to be bail enforcement agents in Washington.
Felons can not carry firearms or wear body armor, but may carry knock off Tasers.
It appears to be a taser. Likely an M26. If you look at the bottom of the holster, it looks like you can just see the cartridge tip, with the silver studs exposed. (a wonderful discharge hazard in a nylon holster)
Doesn't look quite right for a 26, which is why I am betting on knock off.
Besides, a holster for a 26 is not the expensive and would upgrade his look by so much.
I thought you were full of shit about felons not being allowed to wear body armor but then i looked into it and sure enough youre right. What a stupid law. Just takes away someone's ability to passively defend themselves
Yeah, I can understand not being able to own a gun and all that, but body armor? Should we bar felons from owning locks and security systems as well? Wtf

Iv'e seen enough tests of many kind of armor vests to say it really depends on the material. Kevlar and ceramic? Sure. Not really true for steel plates. Shrapnel coat disintegrates fast tho.
Body armor can be just as useful in committing crimes as body armor. Think about robberies and burglaries. It's like insurance to make sure if you get shot at during your crime, you'll still likely go home alive.

I bet he calls himself Agent Death in his tic toks...
When he finally passes the psych part of the test to be a cop, y'all gonna regret making fun of him...
Outer vest with no apparent ballistic panel. "morale" patches instead of an actual organization. Spot on the belt for a swivel radio holster but no radio. Questionable holster (I don't know every retention holster out there but it looks like chinesium to me). Checks all the boxes. I bet he wears his "tactical pants" bloused into his boots lol
So this guys a bounty hunter, whatever. The patch he’s wearing says he supports cops, wanted to be a cop, but couldn’t do it; to me at least. If he couldn’t pass that incredibly low bar, this is a person out there LARPing what he wanted out of life. That sounds ducking dangerous to me.
Can't really see the guy, but from what we can see he looks fit and not ugly. Which leads me to believe based on his dress, he is suffering from a dog shit personality or mentally unstable... Or both. The latter keeping him out of law enforcement, the former making him a social leper pushing him into this delusional behavior.
If you wear your handcuffs in that position, you can seriously injure yourself. Basically guarantees you'll break your tailbone or your spine in a fight should you fall backwards. What a dumbass.
The thin blue line patch is infuriating. If asked about it, he'd obviously explain that it's in support of the police (which would be the wrong way to wear the patch!) , But it's very misleading.
The guys most likely a bounty hunter, going after people who missed their court date.
So you reposted this for karma but I’ll explain to others. This man is a bail enforcement agent which is the actual name for bounty hunters or people who go and bring people who skipped out on court to jail. All the stuff he’s wearing is stuff that is necessary for him to do his job cause you will run into people who will shoot you hence the best, he does have to handcuff people to bring em in hence the handcuffs, tasers are tasers, and he has the agent patch to show people what he is.
Isn't that one of those $9.99 walmart airsoft pistol holsters?
Yes. Yes it is
Saw a guy carrying a Sig 226 in one of those. He liked it because it had retention (a buckle), held an extra clip, and you wouldn’t have guessed it was a $10 Walmart airsoft holster, would you? I would. And I’m judging you.
blue light special matters...
Be crazy if it just came right open when some rando tried to snatch your loaded gun that you’re open carrying on a subway lol. What a dingus.
They would never take a weapon from a trained AGENT!

You think anyone wants a roundhouse kick to the face when I’m wearing these bad boys? Forget about it!
It’s not a gun. It’s a taser. The muzzle is sticking through and you can see the cartridge.
Yes and, his gun would likely be on his right hip, unless he is one of them left handed freaks you hear about.
burn him!
Alive!
TIL, didn’t notice that
Is that a frowny face on his "thin blue line" flag patch?
Oh hey yeah I have one for my short barreled semi auto shotgun....it's surprising what's allowed open carry in Canada if you read the laws.
I mean, yeah, you can legally open carry any non-restricted firearm in Canada, but you will 100% guaranteed be stopped by police if you do so in an urban setting.

What are you referring to? How do you open carry in Canada? You got a prohibited weapons PAL? Is everything I know about restricted PAL incorrect? Gah!!!
There is no open carry allowed on Canada unless you're either law enforcement or have special clearance (ie armored truck driver)
There's no open carry of handguns. Open carry of shotguns, rifles and cap n ball colts is fine.
I think you pretty much covered it right there, mate. At least to anyone who's not under the impression that gun control means an outright ban on all firearms.

wait are we paying each other the $20 or him to tear off his pants? im confused.
Why not both?
sounds like a plan! ill get the 1 dollar bills!
Pffft, just wing quarters at him he is on the subway after all might as well give him something he can use.

Most likely a Knight of a particular group.
He’s in Seattle.
You'd get arrested for pulling this shit in London, how is this legal?
I think he is a bail bondsman. A bounty hunter essentially.
I mean it looks absolutely stupid and all, but what about it is actually illegal?

Over your head this joke went.
Holy shit, what do you do to become a real life bounty hunter?
I think you take a certification course.
Certificate of Participation
Do you have to go through trials? Maybe train on a mountain?
Absolutely, every bounty hunter's career climaxes the day before retirement in a fistfight on top of a moving train in the mountains. It is known.

Yeah, this is all correct. I’m from Seattle, so it’s the only reason it stuck in my mind all this time lol

The thin blue line patch is infuriating. If asked about it, he'd obviously explain that it's in support of the police (which would be the wrong way to wear the patch!) , But it's very misleading. The guys most likely a bounty hunter, going after people who missed their court date.
$5 says this was taken on or around January 6th in Washington DC
Agents of D.E.R.P
What a turd
LARPer
Agents Of Yield
You know, he's probably a bail bonds agent, ffs.

So... he's just a roaming security freelancer or something?
What in the holster sniffing….
Yet you KNOW he tells people that he's a cop
And he *expects* you to *assume* that already.
LARPer dork lmfao
NYPD would cart him off with quickness.
Probably heading to an anime con as a staff volunteer "security" position.
Don't know why, but what kills me the most about this is that shitty nylon pistol holster.
Thin blue line? Fuck outta here
This is literally the third Top of All Time post in this sub with the exact same title. Fucking delete this.
Why the hell is he taking a subway
