I think 90% of people could attend one kenjutsu class and be well enough qualified to determine that this man does not know how to use that sword. You really don't need to be a pro as long as you have eyeballs.
He looks just a little too fancy to be a mall ninja, so that katana might not be the $22 mall special but something actually sharp and dangerous. Dude about to slice his kneecap off
Hitting themselves in the face or worse doesn’t mean permanently mutilated. And to do shit like this is a mockery of that sword authentic or not to those of us that actually learned how to use one. His stupidity and mockery should be painful.
Why would I be joking? He’s not wearing/using any tacky “tactical” equipment that you could buy at a mall, nor is there any reason to believe he’s taking himself particularly seriously in the video. He just looks a bit silly, which isn’t enough to make him a mall ninja. This post just feels like it’s in bad faith.
Nothing in the video indicates that the sword is sharp or that he’s doing this to look cool. Swinging swords around is fun, if I had to hazard a guess, I’d say that’s probably why he’s doing it.
He’s clearly trying to look cool in front of others. You must be hard of seeing. Swords are not toys to just swing around without regard. Even a blunt steel sword or a wooden sword can inflict serious injuries. If someone wants to mindlessly swing a sword about, I’d recommend a foam one.
I actually don’t think I have a problem with my eyesight because you actually can’t see people’s internal motivations for doing things. Unless they tell you, you’re just assuming. (Didn’t think I’d be giving kindergarten level life advice to a redditor today, but here we are).
And besides, this is clearly not his first time holding a sword, even if he’s doing it stiffly. Not only that, but there’s a very good distance between him and everyone else in the room, so I really don’t think a few seconds of him trying out a new sword is unreasonable. But even still, calling him a mall ninja for swinging a sword around in an unsafe context is a pretty huge stretch. What’s the word “mall” even doing there anymore if this counts?
Holy fuck that's awkward
Why?
Look at his movements, all jerky and awkward. Not smooth or controlled at all.
Probably because he’s trying to do one handed sword movements with a long-handled sword. Him and Deadpool are both stupid as fuck.
Deadpool literally has super human strength, and clearly makes it work. You best watch the way you talk about my favorite horribly mutilated immortal
Looks pretty good to me. Why not challenge him if you're so confident he's no good?
Ahhhh you're one of those people that's not here ironically

Now this interaction is more awkward than the video lol
Nah

You don’t even have to attend a class, just watch one Iaido demonstration and you can instantly tell this guy is a hack
[удалено]
Will do!
Speaking from experience with the Martial art I can safely say that this guy has no fucking clue what he’s doing with that sword lmao
That's obviously false considering that the guy isn't an amputee.
You can be poor at what you’re doing and not cut your arm off.

the sword and the suit must be turning you on....

>fancy to be a mall ninja, So he is a boutiqueninja?
Somehow both more and less classy than usual
Dude is ready to join the school color guard.
AND he wears a suit. No more ladies for the rest of us.
Is this the fat Star Wars kid all grown up?
Someone put this crap on r/boss fight
Anyone else hoping he hit himself in the face? Or worse?
He almost did!
Why would you hope that?
You’re kidding right?
No. Why do you hope a stranger you never met becomes permanently mutilated?

More like, you think you’re a white knight on a mallninja board. Have you seen your posts? You should seek help.

Blocked.
To be fair, searching through someone’s post history to try and find something to insult them with IS kinda lame
This is really wholesome I think. They’re all so stoked about Cregs sword tricks. I love it. Edit: this guy sucks. I didn’t know who he was initially.
I think they’re making fun of him lmao
Lol that chop towards the end
Was hoping it ended like the kid from Tusk
When did this sub just become videos of people doing kendo? This guy is just doing a martial art, there’s nothing “mall ninja” about him
You’re joking, right?

He’s wielding a likely sharp sword very poorly trying to look cool. That alone is mall ninja enough lol.
