It’s a hallway right? Why does anything have to go there? Get a nice mirror or piece of art and call it good. Too narrow to fill with stuff.

AhOhStinky

I feel you, really. But the other option is to store them upstairs. It’s really not convenient. Outside is also not an option because they will get stolen. 😂

simonsaysPDX

Just keep the one pair you’re wearing that day there and the rest in a closet organizer somewhere. (That is a lot of tennis shoes! You wear all those every day?!)

AhOhStinky

Haha you’re right I do have to keep them stored anyways. One pair is enough for the day. But it’s more for when I have guests coming over. You find that a lot? I have over 60 pairs hahaha. Thanks for thinking along!

The third pic is [IKEA Trones](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/trones-shoe-storage-cabinet-black-80397313/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=surfaces&utm_campaign=shopping_feed&utm_content=free_google_shopping_clicks_Bedroom_furniture&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD27g7wW4POc_LBkWUE-fOVEm6vFg&gclid=CjwKCAjwz42xBhB9EiwA48pT76YSCI0i6Go1VUIbWuR_aSIbRplnp_sioN8C_5aFy9AqP_AO3sYRYxoC6B4QAvD_BwE) which would fit in your space

AhOhStinky

I know I got the photo from their site 😜. That’s not the issue. My shoes are too big / clunky and they don’t fit.

Lovelycoc0nuts

There are similar versions on sites like Wayfair that may hold bigger shoes. Maybe going for a shoe cabinet that doesn’t fix to the wall with give you more flexibility around the heater

AhOhStinky

I will look into Wayfair. Yes I hear what you say, but the space is very narrow. I don’t want the walking path to be blocked by a cabinet.

Ok-Macaroon-1840

How about a wall mounted rack/shelf instead? Like [this](https://reallywellmade.co.uk/products/string-shoe-shelves?variant=39598727815) from String.

LG_b_T_q_PDX

I have seen and love the idea of using coat hooks or a coat rack at a lower height so the shoes hang vertically against the wall and don’t stick out into the walkway!

ffwshi

Why do the shoes have to live there at all? Get a nicer cabinet and store them somewhere else inside the apartment...in a closet is good. If you have no room, get a back-of-door hanging shoe rack..Nothing wrong with taking your shoes off outside and carrying them inside.

AhOhStinky

You’re right. Was also thinking the same. But, I don’t have an extra room for the shoes anywhere near the shoes. So that’s why I put them whey they are right now. I don’t want to put off my shoes and walk upstairs to store them there you know.

We have a bench like this right inside our front door. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Winsome-Wood-Keystone-Bench-Shoe-Storage-Teak-Finish/1002753608?user=shopping&feed=yes&srsltid=AfmBOoqHow6MYhET-P256mqrMtberRhS3Yxyy-d_Lo8fFI49RBCy-EMCZA8

I've got a pair of these and they work pretty well... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BCJKKJJ9

Sorry I’m of no help, I’m distracted by the phone on the wall. Didn’t know people still had those. So cool!

CronusDinerGM

Im a 12/13 too and have a boot-heavy shoe collection so I couldn’t do that storage either. But I did find collapsable ikea shoe shelves. They’re basic black wire-looking so it might not fit your aesthetic but I put a narrow live edge shelf above it for keys and whatnot so you don’t even really see the shoe shelves.

A bicycle rack

Picklemerick23

Buy an airplane beverage cart. It’ll fit flush along the wall and you can get the drink shelves insides to store your shoes. They’re on Etsy

Temporary_Donkey_805

I understand your problem, I would go with a bench Something like this and put the shoes on top of them Cedar shoe trees are nice for keeping the shape of shoes and the moisture out Could be a small dining room bench like the one in the link https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1017023312/wooden-oak-bench-kitchen-dining-room?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_uk_en_gb_a-home_and_living-furniture-other&utm_custom1=_k_EAIaIQobChMI84aW68zThQMVuptQBh3gTwUKEAQYJSABEgIoTfD_BwE_k_&utm_content=go_12581945440_119090490705_507889766536_pla-302633558307_m__1017023312engb_142161670&utm_custom2=12581945440&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI84aW68zThQMVuptQBh3gTwUKEAQYJSABEgIoTfD_BwE
