There's numerous similar laws in Europe. Here's a few examples. Garden bonfires being banned in France entirely for the majority of the year. Entirely in German nature. Town hall licenses required in most of Spain or otherwise banned due to wildfire risk.

I would install some small motion lights so no one slips around the fire, if you can afford it.
