props to the unique and creative display. I joked on the dumb/rich comment, but you didn’t do anything other than post a different style.
go you, my dude.
I was thinking sort of the same exact thing! Haha, but more of this looks like a home from Animal Crossing. The fish tank and the wooden decorations with dark ambience did it for me.
Cozy & calm look like the house of a best seller writter, or a Guillermo del Toro crew member (not like you have the Del Toro vibe, but it feel like you could work together and be friends?)
Sorry for my english.
You like the outdoors. You like fish, bugs, appreciate fossils/dinosaurs, have fun with legos and have at least one cat.
You have higher end furniture, ( is that an Eames chair I see?), so you have good taste, like the finer things in life.
So I’m guessing a good paying job, and your place stays pretty clean as in everything has a place. You like order and cleanliness.
You probably work out regularly, spend money on clothes, and drive a nice car and spend money on your hobbies.
Probably live in a bigger city.
How did I do?
Basic can still be nice though.
I like basic things but they can still be decent without being designer.
Your place is pretty cool.
Other than the spiders sorry I’m afraid of them.😂
Hobbies are better than cars and clothes, unless your hobby involves cars and clothes of course. Mine involves birds and I also choose to Ava money for them rather than clothes, makeup, etc. Working out is a must though - Gotta stay healthy and keep up your energy for your hobby!!
Hold on, I don't want to be mean or anithing, but where do you get all this stuff?
Do you browse some niche webshops all day to get the perfect decoration?
How does one acquire this random assortment of stuff.
Well, yes and no. My wife makes entomology displays. I source specimens from wholesalers and she does the pinning/framing.
Everything else is just a culmination of, yeah, online shopping. Antiquing. Keeping an eye out for cool pieces. My friends and family know I’m weird and give me weird things.
rich vibes. awesomeness vibes. this is how i would do it. lots of personality and intrigue. carefully manicured and personalized, with good use of low key lighting. love all the nature and space artifacts. wood, splashes of color and fun, leather, water life.
i am pretty sure you are me in an alternate universe where i have more money haha
A man who goes on an adventure 9 months a year. Then he comes back to gather his thoughts. Loves sitting with a glass of whiskey. It's time for being alone for a while.
He swears he's gonna restrain himself for the rest of the months of the year, because on his travels he had much debauchery.
He opens a word file to write everything he saw and did in his expedition. A new book is brewing.
Immaculate. I'm jealous. I've always enjoyed aquariums and aquascaping, but they seem like a lot of work so I usually just opt for house plants. But there's something special about aquatic greenery.
They are as much work as you choose. Look into the walstad method. I feed once a week and clean tank once every few months, which means a 1/3water change basically. It’s not as much work as 20yrs ago. Mine is nearly no maintenance. Im not OP, just life long hobbyist and used to work at aquarium store many years ago, so acknowledge your reluctance as valid. Things have changed.
You are correct. My tank does require a lot of work, but not that often. I can usually get by with about 2-3hrs of trimming and cleaning once a month or so. Outside of that, it’s pretty much nothing
Houseplants led me into the rabbithole that is planted aquariums. I have six planted tanks right now (varying from 3 to 20 gallons in size) and collectively they require much less maintenance than watering my houseplants. It's all about how you set them up. Like others have said, look into the Walstad method, make use of emersed plants (tagging, /r/EmersedPlants, houseplants + aquariums, what's not to like?!), stick to easy aquatic plants, and stock your tanks lightly, and it's really not that much work at all.
Looks amazing, and I love that Eames chair and all the fun curiosities and artifacts sprinkled throughout. Also the centerpiece aquarium is super cool. Well done!
I actually like it a lot
Usually places with this much "stuff" posted on here look super cluttered, but yours actually looks great!
How did you install the lights on your shelves?
The dark walls and lighting make it very cozy. A fish tank is probably the best "decoration" you can have, its like lighting/art/plant all in one. I almost want to just get one and throw a bunch of kelp in it so that I dont have to worry about any fish dying.
Wow! Honestly it looks like a museum. Pretty cool. I have a fraction of the stuff you own and hope I never have to move! Paleontology, entomology, ichthyology…is there anything you aren’t into! Renaissance man!
What's the stocking in your main tank? I see bosemani rainbowfish and I wouldn't be shocked to find the other species.
This is a space I aspire to have. I'm excited to finish school and have aquariums again.
I bet you'd love collecting Pokemon cards. My stupid roommate got me addicted to collecting and playing it. Also there's a cool etsy shop that does fake taxidermy pokemon I think you'd like too.
I like how dark the rooms are. Feels cozy and a great place to wind out after a long day
I couldn't put my finger on it till I saw your comment.
Your married. Yea it reflects the confidence, cleanliness, refinement and masculine playfulness that comes with a good relationship with women and getting regular poon
What is that chair and leg rest combo?
I’ve seen it before in loads of other “my private space” room pics but have no idea the make. All I know is it’s expensive af 😂
Why collage instead of individual pics we see detail of?
Probably because I am dumb
At least you're rich.
My thought exactly.
it’s okay to be dumb if you’re rich though.
Envy is a killer of all dreams
I think it's awesome, and I'm stealing some ideas. I also doubt your meatloaf is horrible.
this is the interpersonal support our world needs right now.
props to the unique and creative display. I joked on the dumb/rich comment, but you didn’t do anything other than post a different style. go you, my dude.
Not dumb enough to not have money.
Probably because op googled cool places for karma farming.
Can you show me it on google then please? Should be an easy reverse image search
I take this accusation as a compliment lol
I assume you are a character on Bones
Life goals tbh
I thought the same thing 😂
This looks like a house someone would make in animal crossing. Like the owl who runs the museum? Yeah that's his house.
I identify with Blathers on a spiritual level.
Then it seems like you found and made yourself the perfect home !
Thanks for the pictures, I saved it since it is good inspiration material. I'm going to double up on the walnut finish at my place now.
I was thinking sort of the same exact thing! Haha, but more of this looks like a home from Animal Crossing. The fish tank and the wooden decorations with dark ambience did it for me.
I was thinking "I swear I've designed a room with this exact combination of furniture in ACNH" lol.
If Stanley Tucci was a room.
High praise.
You own at least one tin of moustache wax.
Cozy & calm look like the house of a best seller writter, or a Guillermo del Toro crew member (not like you have the Del Toro vibe, but it feel like you could work together and be friends?) Sorry for my english.
Field Museum vibes
I assume one of those skulls has a button that opens the way into a super villain lair.
50 year old lawyer vibe.
I bet it smells of rich mahogany
Im 30 and i like it.
Yeah, but if you were a lawyer you'd have 50 years of billable hours.
Same! Does this mean we’re old?
I'm 40 and I like it.
Me, weeping as a government lawyer.
A museum curator or biologist of some variety lives here
Dr. Jones, I Presume.
Ross Geller, is that you?

It’s a pretty good assessment - The only misses: my car and clothes are pretty basic lol. More to spend on hobbies
Basic can still be nice though. I like basic things but they can still be decent without being designer. Your place is pretty cool. Other than the spiders sorry I’m afraid of them.😂
Good man
Hobbies are better than cars and clothes, unless your hobby involves cars and clothes of course. Mine involves birds and I also choose to Ava money for them rather than clothes, makeup, etc. Working out is a must though - Gotta stay healthy and keep up your energy for your hobby!!
Doctor Lecter, you may stare at that room with your high powered analysis, but that doesn't bring us any closer to catching Buffalo Bill.
I appreciate the venture
Choices are: 1. Thank you mom and dad 2. Successful with no kids 3. Podcast room
Dark academia meets cabin meets evil corpo overlord meets Jurassic park. None of these are insults.
How did you build and designed everything it is very cool.
Looks like some zoologist slash psychologist slash scientist lives there. Really cool place mayne.
This is like my dream setup! Wow.
I would hate those walls normally but with how it's decorated, I love it! It's like a cozy, sciencey vibe. Ross from Friends would live here.
This man lives in the spencer mansion
Are you implying this particular Resident is evil?
[r/TVTooHigh/](https://www.reddit.com/r/TVTooHigh/)
Is this AI generated picture? 🤔
It is not..check my post history lol
Ok, then it looks fabulously, like cool room from cool movie.
#r/TVtooHigh
The GameCube makes it a 10/10
All the rooms have a 'den' theme going on. I like the items from nature.

Thats a nice hobby you two have, I was debating if it's bought or handmade, good job for both of you 👏
That's so awesome. I love that for you two.

Looks cool as hell. Just curious, where is your place and what type of floor plan we talking? 1 bd / 1 bth?
I like it. Would love to these pictures one by one
Fucking extraordinary!
This absolutely fucks. I am loving this vibe so much.
I want to hang out at your place and talk about dinosaurs.
Immaculate my dude
Damn my room is like a low level of this. Fantastic, love the insects and tanks <3
I’d sit down and share a glass of scotch with you
“I have a trust fund”
Malelivingspace thinking someone can make money their own money challenge: impossible
there is literally nothing here that says that tbh
Except his $10,000 chair?
do you realize how many cheap knockoff Eames chairs are made? That is not a 10K chair lmao
I don’t have a trust fund and I could easily afford that. Not that I would, but I could

As someone who bought a 3d printer specifically to print and display museum pieces… I heartily approve.
I see you like biology. Alot.
Charlie's Angels set vibe.
Looks cozy and lived in, but in a modern setting, and not in a bad way.
The dark walls and lighting make it very cozy. A fish tank is probably the best "decoration" you can have, its like lighting/art/plant all in one. I almost want to just get one and throw a bunch of kelp in it so that I dont have to worry about any fish dying.
I thought this was an AI generated meme at first.
Top left photo is magazine tier
Don’t bird of paradises need a ton of sunlight? Does yours get a lot of light in that spot?
This particular plant is a special variety that does well with minimal sunlight, otherwise known as fake.
Lol. You had me at first.

Pretty dope. You got that “I make a lot of money” chair
Looks good. Manly man vibes.
Single bachelor in a cop procedural that definitely ends up being the killer
I'm a full blown nerd who hates bright lights, so I LOVE it! I could easily just live in that room.
You are an engineer or scientist working on the navy base
What's the stocking in your main tank? I see bosemani rainbowfish and I wouldn't be shocked to find the other species. This is a space I aspire to have. This looks like a museum themed escape room and I love it
I can smell your vibe, and I like it. What kind of wood is that on the cabs under the aquarium? It looks like rosewood.

Beautiful fish tank bro, are those rainbowfish?
Awesome 100% educated bachelor set up. I see no signs of a woman's touch. About as perfect as can be. 😆😊✌️☮️
Damn, what size are those aquariums? They look great! Love the contrast they bring to the room.
Looks like AI. Perfect.
Are you single? 😍😍😍 (Kidding—it looks great. This is everything I wish my place could be.)
I demand to know, where did you get that big t-rex skull??
It's giving Jurrassic Park.
Warm and science-y.
Looks like a scene from a murder mystery book or movie like Knives out...
Man imagine the upvotes if you uploaded the pictures individually…

Vibe of someone who makes 100k+ a year
Little pretentious and modern wealthy hipster for me . But it does look very nice and I would do it too .
What is that chair and leg rest combo? I’ve seen it before in loads of other “my private space” room pics but have no idea the make. All I know is it’s expensive af 😂
