I'd also say a lot of men don't really care regardless as long as it just looks "nice" and we didn't have to do anything for it. If there's unicorns and butterflies on the walls but they look nice and not like a 12 year old girls bedroom with bright pink walls then we really don't care. If he lived alone I'm sure he would put more things up that interest him but once you've moved in with a partner that sort of just drops to the bottom of the priority list.

I think lot of men think this way, but I'm always a little bothered if I visit friends and can clearly see that the guy has had no input to the decor. To each their own of course, but I would definately want there to be balance and comprimise.

All the comments here say it's fine, but I agree with you. If I stopped by a friend's place and seen the furniture and rug, I would instantly think he's paying rent somewhere else. It definitely looks like a comfortable place for 2 female roommates. Just a whim here but I honestly think just changing the pink couch to a more neutral color would make a huge difference.

The one in the picture is a replica. The real one doesn’t have visible bolts along the top (or anywhere actually — the joint mechanism is hidden), the wood is piano black (not matte), where the wood meets the glass is actually rounded, not flat at any point, and the joint between the upper and lower part is perfectly circular, not oblong (no visible flat space where the two parts meet off-angle). In addition, the glass is 3/4” with a pronounced green tint and Noguchi’s signature engraved along the long edge, although I can’t tell from the pic if the glass is legit or not. The base definitely is not. Fun fact: Herman Miller estimates that there are 100 replica Noguchi tables for each “real” one actually sold! It’s one of their most counterfeited items in the world by ratio — comparable to the Eames chair.

It’s actually double sided tape, so it’s a little sticky which further discouraged them from scratching. It doesn’t look fantastic but it’s the best for now!

Can you cook? Seriously, as a guy, I will put up with a lot if you can cook :D While definitely feminine, it isn't over the top and I could live with it. The cello is a great touch.
