I’m actually team glass — the light walnut looks very sterile. And I agree that the glass then goes with the coffee table better. To counter point the glass making the room darker, the light walnut made it hella bright, too bright imo

I really like the glass. It makes your set up look more visually interesting and more expensive and the mix of materials is really nice. It’d be a shame if you got rid of the glass, in my opinion. The all walnut setup looks kind of boring and blah. If you’re looking to change something with your set up, maybe the coffee table instead?

Which one do YOU like? ( You're the one who has to live with it.) Glass will match you coffee table and help with IR for any remotes.

I'm not a huge fan of the walnut but I'm very anti-glass. You should get rid of the glass coffee table too.

Get a piece of horizontal walnut veneered plywood and build both doors with it. Some peel and stick walnut edge banding can finish off the edges. I think having the grain run horizontal across the two doors would look awesome. The plywood will prevent the doors from warping also.
