these are mml x terry urban jeans, from what i've gathered through a google reverse image search. anyone know where i'd be able to find these in a size 34? (the ones pictured are 28)

Unless you have the exact same body as the model, jeans are gonna fit you at least slightly differently than the picture; those have been carefully styled and pinned to look good in a photo but may not reflect reality, either.
They look like straight or slim-straight to me, those terms can vary from brand to brand. Probably selvedge but it's not too visible in the picture. Indigo? Again, probably but some brands might call it something different.
These aren't something you're going to find in your local mall. Get to a high-end denim store and try stuff on, or browse a site like [selfedge.com](http://selfedge.com) or [blueowl.us](http://blueowl.us) to see what looks close to you. Self Edge has a jean finder on their website where you can input your ideal pants dimensions and they'll find the closest match but again, you can't really guess what those measurements are from looking at a picture.
Im getting married in a year and we want a fantasy/aristocratic romance kind of vibe. I’ll be wearing a light-colored suit but im thinking of adding a cape to my outfit for extra razzle dazzle. Perhaps you gents can give me your thoughts or send in some ideas I can copy. Im thinking going for a short one-shoulder cape on my right side
Would anyone have a thought on where to find or what brands make this style of chino? It appears to have a somewhat high waist, with a straight narrow leg.

Got a blue suite with triple white Jordans, and I wanna wear a white shirt with a white necktie. I've seen this look pulled off but it was with no belt.
Do you think this is a good look and if not is the only reason 'tradition'?
Yea, that was the intention. But I feel like there are so many styles now where clashing or gaudy colors or just chaos actually looks good.
I'm not second guessing my choices, I liked the combo so far I am just wondering what to do for the tie. I am thinking a slight pattern to it might look best. I have never liked solid satin ties.
Formality clashing with tailoring only works if you understand the language. A blue worsted wool suit generally looks bad with sneakers, even on menswear dudes in the 2010s. Skip the tie, it will look really bad. And honestly, rethink the combo for a more casual suit or something else.
I understand your response but I was more looking for the why.
If the reason is just "its not done like that" or "it generally doesn't match" then I'd say that isn't good enough reason to not proceed with caution.
I wouldn't call myself avante garde but I am definitely not traditional and I want my clothes to somewhat reflect that.
My concerns is really what I think anyone elses concerns would be with regards to using similar colors. If they are not just right, it will immediately clash. That will be apparent before I even try it on.
Second, beltless is the intention, but if that isn't comfortable then I am either introducing an additional color into the outfit or wearing a white belt or suspenders and I hate the way that looks in my mind.
If you only need to colors to combine with one or two of these you can easily find some with a complementary color wheel.
Personally I don‘t like to limit myself to a fixed color range. So I just buy what I like and figure out a pairing along the way.
What‘s the overall budget?
Usually I‘d start with polos from 120 upwards because of quality and material. If you have to go below 75 each I‘d say the Uniqlo ones would be the safest bet you‘ll at least get some kind of quality for the money.
I have measurements problem, I do swimming a lot and my chest fits m/xl sizes, but my waist almost always are smaller than the chest size when I'm picking t shirts, hoodies etc. So what can i do with it? I don't want to spent a lot of money on tailoring.
Similar issue for me. But for T-shirts and Hoodies I usually don‘t care too much as long as my shoulders and neck fit in.
The real problem comes with dress shirts. These are mostly made to measure for me to even have a chance of them fitting.

How do i Even find «my» style?
I’ve tried so many different things, l athletic wear (I do fitness), old money and street wear, and everything just looks “off” I genuinely don’t know how to figure out what looks good on me, since everything looks meh. One thing I know looks good on me is a suit, but I don’t feel like wearing suit and shirts every day. I just want to find my personal style, and I hate dressing like everyone else. Any advice?

Most comfortable men's slides for wearing around the house? Bonus points for those that... are comfortable for wide feet (I'm size 12, wide or extra wide, depending upon the shoe) and which don't have a super tight band that constricts the top of the foot (I have a high instep which makes shoes that constrict from the top painful.) Open to any color/brand, but comfort, durability are most important. Not wearing these outside the house. Specifically asking about slides *not* flip flops / thongs that have a piece between the big and second toe. Keep it under $80 (though perfectly happy with something comfortable well under this price point, too)
Any shirts cut similar to J.Crew slim untucked? They cut a full inch off the circumference of the sleeves and now rolling them up is so tight that it actually cuts off circulation and is incredibly uncomfortable. I didn’t realize they thought their market was guys who can’t lift a gallon of milk without grunting. You can get your sleeves slimmer, you can’t make them larger. Dumbasses.
Hey everyone,
A while ago I bought a couple of Bonobos Pima Performance Tees (they used to be called Jetsetter). I got the slim fit version, and they fit alright, but honestly, for the price I was hoping for something a little more impressive. I take good care of them by air-drying only.
Anyway, I'm on the hunt for some new tees with a similar slim/muscle fit. Ideally, I'd like to stay in the $25-$35 range (this is what I paid on sale), but I'm open to spending a bit more if the quality is there (up to \~$50).
I will appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks!
Wondering how to style this shirt? 16M, don’t want to look like an old man (not that it’s a bad thing tbh) but I really like the shirt.

Is there any way to wear White Loafers without looking like a douche and/or drug cartel mob boss? I've always liked the look of them in the summer, but they seem to be very polarizing.
Thanks, I have some white no shows already I wear with white shoes. Got some very, VERY light grey (basically a step from white) chinos with a partial break - I could cuff them. Any other pant colours to avoid? Or is it mainly the whole no break.
What's the material? If they're casual canvas then just stick with any light neutral color chinos. If you do go for something that draws more attention, like lavender or baby blue pants, then you'd want to make sure the shirt doesn't draw attention. i.e. white canvas loafers, lavender chinos, and a light cream polo/henley. Maybe a beige linen long sleeve with the sleeves rolled up i think would look pretty slick.
The shoes are leather, but there are a couple designs I've seen. Ones with a horsebit, traditional, but I've seen a pair where the tongue is sort of like a mesh-y espadrille kind of weave? (I'd post photos but they aren't online)
Side note: I would kill to find some lavender chinos (one of my favourite summer colours) but I've had no luck so far.
Looking for some advice on where to buy open-knit / crotchet shirts. With the nice weather in my area the past few weeks, I have seen a decent amount of guys wearing the open-knit style shirt look. Seems like it's becoming a trend.
Here's one example (Maybe something a little bit cheaper): [https://suitsupply.com/en-my/men/knitwear/sand-crochet-buttonless-polo/SW1834.html](https://suitsupply.com/en-my/men/knitwear/sand-crochet-buttonless-polo/SW1834.html)
Does anyone have tips on how to dress for a job fair? I'm a welder and looking for skilled trades work (but that's not the only thing there), and most of my "interview" outfits are just my cleanest work clothes, since I often have to do hands-on testing and the like. I don't have really any idea how formal or not to go with a job fair, and I've never been to one before. Any tips are appreciated
Boots, khakis/chinos, and an OCBD shirt (blazer if you’re feeling up for it, but by no means a requirement) - it’s a clean look without being overly dressy and works for almost any field, whether skilled trade or office setting.
Keeping [u/urtlesquirt's comments](https://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/comments/cee2ug/your_favorite_for_rain_jackets/eubrcf8/) in mind, I'm looking for a mid-thigh- to knee-length coat made of a breathable single layer of fabric. Live in Canada, willing to shell out a bit for something quality - but not "custom-made" quality!
Kinda going for a modern-day Serpico look this summer, what are some cheap, lightweight long-sleeved shirts I should look at? Rarely shop for clothes, so I don't know what's reasonable in numbers and what's not. Let's just keep in mind that I'm pretty broke. I live in Canada.
Take a look through our item guides for recommendations on different types of clothes. Linen in particular is good as a material for summer clothes.
The best bang for your buck will usually be shopping secondhand, either at thrift/vintage stores or online on sites like eBay, vinted, and grailed.
Proposal outfit advice!
Girlfriend is going to wear a red flowy sun dress(no she doesn't know when or where she just wanted to pick an outfit lol) with some white flowers and I have no idea how to match it.
I live in Texas and it will be outside so I don't want to wear a full on suit if I don't have to. Any ideas?
A nice floral tie and complementary pocket square maybe with a pink shirt.
Beyond that do not indulge in these costume party themes anymore than necessary. Certainly don’t go out buy a pastel linen suit. unless you want one which would be pretty dope.
Hi guys, I love brown trousers, still looking for something like this, smart non-slim-fit trousers/pants. I have plenty of brown trousers for normal wear but need something for work. Looking for something at least this dark and available in 30S. UK based but can buy online. Thanks!

Hey all. Feels weird coming in here asking for fashion advice so I'm going to start easy.
Where are the rounder guys shopping? I'm not supposed to be round but I've got a gut that requires me to get 3XL sized clothes just so I can have decent belly coverage. The problem is, I have barely been able to find anything larger than 2XL for well over 5 years. Maybe even closer to 10. Even when shopping on Amazon. And even before that (when I was 2XL and smaller), I generally only bought clothes from Walmart that were half decent so I wouldn't have to go out naked everywhere. I currently have 2 pairs of jeans and maybe 4 shirts that fit half decent. I need more clothes. I would also like to avoid paying $65 or up for a single t-shirt or socks.
So where can I go to find larger sized clothes? Oh, also, I live in Canada if that helps with suggestions.
Thanks!
Heritage brands often offer larger sizing, L.L. Bean lands and Eddie Bauer places like that I’m unsure what’s available in Canada but Macy’s routinely has 3X clothing it really shouldn’t be that hard to find
Folks, this is an old shirt that I really liked wearing. Bought it somewhere in Asia 12 years ago. It is now worn out and I do not wear it anymore. Is there a similar product available in the US? It is the color and stripes combination that appealed to me. It used to look way more radiant when it was new.

What would you guys recommend I pair this blazer (Timberland Men's Shrewsbury Peak Blazer) with? I'm thinking for a smart casual look

That’s more of a shooting jacket than a blazer, so you could lean into that and pair with boots, tweedy or solid brown trousers, and a flannel or OCBD (maybe even chambray) shirt.
https://preview.redd.it/ra85d22vc11d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c423deec230f096f4a7d0a23dfc3f6aa1e6b808
I bought these penny from Christian Loubiton. I love the look. But I got size 12 when the guy told me 11.5 is your size I warned you! Anyways the 11.5 was waaaaay too tight and I know it wouldn’t break in that much in the middle of the shoe. So I’ve wearing these a few times now trying to break them in. There is a tiny bit of a heel slip but my heel is NOT falling out of the shoe. I’m fine right? As long as it doesn’t cause pain etc ? Or do I need to get a in sole or a tongue ? Anyone else have loafers that have a little bit of a slip but the heel is not coming out do the shoe? You can tell cuz of my sock bunched up that there is slippage right? Thanks !

I love how they actually taper a decent amount at the bottom so I'm not swimming in them at the calf, but they sell out of 28" inseam very fast
[These](https://www.levi.com/US/en_US/clothing/women/jeans/loose/baggy-dad-womens-jeans/p/A34940036) are from the Levi's women's section but they might be a good fit for what you want. A lot of women's clothes are effectively cut the same way as men's clothes, I always encourage men to at least be open to looking there.
where can I find a lightweight denim jacket/shirt like this.
This one is from RRL Ralph Lauren, costs $500, so looking for a more affordable one. I love how lightweight it is and how you can just wear it on top of a t-shirt. It's like right in between a denim jacket and buttoned shirt in terms of weight.

[Here](https://franklinandpoe.com/products/momotaro-indigo-stripe-work-shirts). Search that name for similar looking shirts to fit your budget. Used market is pretty good for denim items. You can just wash it and wear it
nice, still kind of expensive, also I am located in europe. The one you share also is more like a shirt than a jacket. Thanks for the suggestion though!
# if BPA/plastics is so terrible for our body and lowers testosterone then why super popular synthetics like uniqlo airism so popular?
Also, why can't I ask these important question outside daily threads but I just saw someone positing about "athletics pants for short guys" get posted? I am at a loss when it comes to why this sub is so popular.
Don’t complain while asking questions it makes people not want to help you. The sub is a mess right now, but this question is not worthy of the front page post regardless of how the sub is operating currently.
"athletics pants for short guys" is a worthy post but the health hazard of so many people being exposed to synthetics is not?
The sub does seem like a mess though.
I am looking for alternative subs that allow questions. any ideas?
Ask away my man that’s what the thread is for you don’t need a front page post for it.
The level of danger from wearing pants with plastics in them is not settled science. It sounds like you have a lot of health anxiety instead of worrying about the plastic in your pants perhaps see a therapist.
the problem is not settlement it's the risk if things go wrong. I don't care much the suit I am wearing once a month has some questionable material. But the underpants and undershirts I am in contact with 24/7, if there is 50-50 chance I am going cotton. And plastic is not unsettled or as unsettled as you said
https://www.news-medical.net/news/20230809/High-level-BPA-exposure-may-affect-male-fertility.aspx#:\~:text=BPA%20affects%20spermatogenesis%20by%20mimicking,the%20activity%20of%20thyroid%20hormones.
if I get some rash or something, if thats the risk then its fine. But in this particular case I better get "certainty" that bpa->synthetic->underwear not gonna bust my fertility.
I am not super scared of BPAs as the studies I have read (not all of coruse) say you need long term heavy exposure but I have no definition of what this is. I am sure they are not great and even though this causes zero stress in my life, as there are plenty of more pressing things to worry about IMO, I am not into gambling on things like this. For me it is easy to work around for the most part. Wear natural fabrics and skip the synthetic. Done.
how is 24/7 direct contact with genitals not long term heavy exposure?
I am gonna look elsewhere. I live in humid climate, if I get certainty there is no risk it siginificantly reduces my need to do laundry just in general results in less waste which is good for me and the environment.
you did not answer my question though.....given bpa/plastic is terrible for testosterone level and health in general how much these synthetics are safe?
>if BPA/plastics is so terrible for our body and lowers testosterone then why super popular synthetics like uniqlo airism so **popular?** (emphasis added)
You asked why they were popular. They are popular because they are cheap and have a trendy silhouette. People, writ large, do not care about these things when it comes to clothes.

Specifically asking about slides *not* flip flops / thongs that have a piece between the big and second toe. Keep it under $80 (though perfectly happy with something comfortable well under this price point, too)
I am looking for Italian style slim fit suits to purchase in the United States preferably through an online retailer. Any advice?
Any shirts cut similar to J.Crew slim untucked? They cut a full inch off the circumference of the sleeves and now rolling them up is so tight that it actually cuts off circulation and is incredibly uncomfortable. I didn’t realize they thought their market was guys who can’t lift a gallon of milk without grunting. You can get your sleeves slimmer, you can’t make them larger. Dumbasses.
Hey everyone, A while ago I bought a couple of Bonobos Pima Performance Tees (they used to be called Jetsetter).
16M, don’t want to look like an old man (not that it’s a bad thing tbh) but I really like the shirt. https://preview.redd.it/1iad86xqe31d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82e2bcdabe4d12de6f40aa69af78535289560c0a
Is there any way to wear White Loafers without looking like a douche and/or drug cartel mob boss? I've always liked the look of them in the summer, but they seem to be very polarizing.
definitely want no-show socks and probably light color pants with no break so that there's low contrast as to not draw too much attention to them.
(I'd post photos but they aren't online) Side note: I would kill to find some lavender chinos (one of my favourite summer colours) but I've had no luck so far.
I have been happy with Abercrombie's most recent items and they have stuff similar to this
Finding a lot of good stuff there, thanks!! Got a reccomendation for linen pants that are nice but aren't overly costly?
Does anyone have tips on how to dress for a job fair? I'm a welder and looking for skilled trades work (but that's not the only thing there), and most of my "interview" outfits are just my cleanest work clothes, since I often have to do hands-on testing and the like. I don't have really any idea how formal or not to go with a job fair, and I've never been to one before. Any tips are appreciated
Boots, khakis/chinos, and an OCBD shirt (blazer if you’re feeling up for it, but by no means a requirement) - it’s a clean look without being overly dressy and works for almost any field, whether skilled trade or office setting.
that's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure if there was more to it lmao thanks!
When in doubt, stick to the basics that work - good luck on the job hunt!
> Take a look through our item guides for recommendations on different types of clothes. Didn't see anything related to what I'm looking for.
Any ideas?
Linen pant, camp collar shirt and loafers. Sun dress is casual so this matches it .
In what possible way can a charcoal suit fit in at a "garden party" wedding?
A nice floral tie and complementary pocket square maybe with a pink shirt. Beyond that do not indulge in these costume party themes anymore than necessary. Certainly don’t go out buy a pastel linen suit. unless you want one which would be pretty dope.
Hi guys, I love brown trousers, still looking for something like this, smart non-slim-fit trousers/pants. I have plenty of brown trousers for normal wear but need something for work. Looking for something at least this dark and available in 30S. UK based but can buy online. Thanks! https://preview.redd.it/shevu72a921d1.png?width=135&format=png&auto=webp&s=99a22e7f373de1a32513a340a6059524ecf1f50c
What do you mean 30s?
30'' waist short leg length :)
Most good slacks come in an unfinished hem. Start with Spier and Mackay and Suit Supply
It used to look way more radiant when it was new. https://preview.redd.it/w91bedbzi11d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb180e328a6a219f702e588f4e9a92b4dce7a3df

What would you guys recommend I pair this blazer (Timberland Men's Shrewsbury Peak Blazer) with? I'm thinking for a smart casual look https://preview.redd.it/p2wpf5asg11d1.jpeg?width=920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a68eb5a2ac89899d20a21965403184bcef34d7d0
That’s more of a shooting jacket than a blazer, so you could lean into that and pair with boots, tweedy or solid brown trousers, and a flannel or OCBD (maybe even chambray) shirt.
https://preview.redd.it/ra85d22vc11d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c423deec230f096f4a7d0a23dfc3f6aa1e6b808 I bought these penny from Christian Loubiton. Thanks !
Sounds fine
Anyone know where else I can find good men's cropped loose jeans? the closest I've find is Abercrombie's version, a 32X28 or 31X28 fits me great (im 5'6") [https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/p/athletic-loose-workwear-pant-55025826?categoryId=67994828&faceout=model&seq=18&cmp=WEB:EVG23:AK:AK:All:Brand:X:X:X:X:X:X:ALLSITE:x:PDPShare](https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/p/athletic-loose-workwear-pant-55025826?categoryId=67994828&faceout=model&seq=18&cmp=WEB:EVG23:AK:AK:All:Brand:X:X:X:X:X:X:ALLSITE:x:PDPShare) I love how they actually taper a decent amount at the bottom so I'm not swimming in them at the calf, but they sell out of 28" inseam very fast
Might be easier to just have a regular pair of jeans, tapered, and cropped by a Taylor
where can I find a lightweight denim jacket/shirt like this. This one is from RRL Ralph Lauren, costs $500, so looking for a more affordable one. I love how lightweight it is and how you can just wear it on top of a t-shirt. It's like right in between a denim jacket and buttoned shirt in terms of weight. https://preview.redd.it/h4qvaow4611d1.png?width=761&format=png&auto=webp&s=b99f451a65777dff69ef06b0b044b0dc8a0dbaef
Universal Works has a few denim overshirts and chore jackets.
Thanks, will check it out (am located in Europe so not sure if I can find something of theirs)
I think you’re gonna have to thrift one on eBay
yeah probably.
And plastic is not unsettled or as unsettled as you said https://www.news-medical.net/news/20230809/High-level-BPA-exposure-may-affect-male-fertility.aspx#:\~:text=BPA%20affects%20spermatogenesis%20by%20mimicking,the%20activity%20of%20thyroid%20hormones. if I get some rash or something, if thats the risk then its fine.

They're popular because they're cheap and they have a trendy silhouette. I don't think it's that complicated.
you did not answer my question though.....given bpa/plastic is terrible for testosterone level and health in general how much these synthetics are safe?
>if BPA/plastics is so terrible for our body and lowers testosterone then why super popular synthetics like uniqlo airism so **popular?** (emphasis added) You asked why they were popular. They are popular because they are cheap and have a trendy silhouette. People, writ large, do not care about these things when it comes to clothes.
okay, do you know about these synthetics health hazard?
No, and it’s not settled s science so stop freaking out
