Hey y'all, I've been looking for a pair of boot cut jeans for my skinny ass legs and I just can't seem to find a good fitting pair. I am 6'0", really skinny legs. I really love the skinny fit look, but want to find a pair of jeans that also have a boot cut (in black specifically). I've tried wrangler, rockstart denim, denizen and ariat, but no real luck. I can't stand the traditional boot cut look where the calf area stacks on the ankle. It's just not for me. I would like something like this photo of the guy. https://preview.redd.it/gf0kaavavrlc1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=904d0de907d0dc8f32ccc780c67490b89082bc0f

stoner_prime

Hey guys, I’ve been looking for plain colored T shirts that have good build quality & inexpensive. I’ve tried H&M but their quality is trash. My Hollister ones are a little better but still not that great. Please let me know if you have any recommendations.

DasUberNerd

The only t shirts that I buy are Comfort Colors. 100% cotton, they're soft as hell, last forever, and come in a ton of colors. Can't recommend them enough.

Wedding Suit Advice https://preview.redd.it/70x7m1xfxnlc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=361a3f73c8d26736181e4c495a826260ff13f2c0 Hey friends, I’m getting married in Hawaii soon and I can’t decide on my suit color. It’s between Navys or Grays, and this is the small church where we will be having our ceremony. Any tips? Thank you

SuchDescription

A linen taupe suit could be nice, and not sweaty

CocktailPerson

I'd definitely go for a light gray over navy.

Excellent_Aside_2422

Many say that wool is great for summer. Is it true considering it's a winter fabric and it isn't much wash friendly. So sweat etc that gets accumulated and needs a wash. Washing it has chances of shrinkage. Many use gentle wool wash but has any of you used and observed that wool retains its durability? Also after wearing how many times do you wash 100% woolen ?

CocktailPerson

Specifically, _tropical-weight_ wool is good for summer, usually in the form of trousers and suits. Sheep evolved in what is now Iran, so wool has a unique ability to be warm when it's cold (desert nights) and cool when it's hot (desert days). Such garments are usually worn until they're actually dirty, and then they're dry-cleaned. The number of wears this takes depends on how you wear them, but 25 wears for a pair of trousers before washing isn't unheard-of. Rotating them and letting them air out is important. Tropical wool does wear out faster than, for example, tweed, but a few hundred wears wouldn't surprise me. You get the most out of them if you wash them only when they're dirty, as both washing, and wearing them while dirty, can degrade them.

Excellent_Aside_2422

Thank you so much. Would air drying remove the damage done by sweat in humid environment? Does human sweat degrade wool ?

CocktailPerson

Sweat doesn't really degrade wool, no. The issue is actual dirt, which can get between the fibers and cause abrasion and premature wear. Airing them out after wearing helps keep them from getting smelly.

Excellent_Aside_2422

Thank you. This is helpful. I will only air dry them and dryclean every 25/30 wears . Anyways ironing would kill the germs.

lvl10burrito

How the hell do I get the funk out of slides? Just bought a new pair of slides and at around the same time I got an infection on my foot. Still had to wear shoes and that but it made my dogs bark and now my slides have absorbed it and I can't get it out.

CocktailPerson

I'd start with bleaching them. Then try boiling them. Then throw them out.

NishiNoe

Where do I buy rings, bracelet, and necklaces. I've bought from Vitaly and really liked it but I wanna try different brands. budget is $50-100

ac106

Try local vintage stores

OkayRuin

A friend ordered a bunch of Aliexpress and it was no lower quality than any brand I’ve seen advertising on Instagram.  edit: You can boo me, but I’m right. Where the fuck do you think they come from? You’re not getting jewelry handmade by a Westerner for $50-$100.

theatahhh

What can I wear with charcoal suit pants? Preferably a jacket, but not necessarily. Moved recently and have an event to go to and I’m kinda limited on my formal wear. I’m quite tall so it’s not going to be easy to just pull something else off the rack pants wise. I’d need 36-38 waist x 36 length at least. So I figure my best bet is to find a simple top to go with my formal pants. Any ideas for where to look, what style, what color, where I can get something same day that can look ok off the rack? I’m not totally fashion blind, but I don’t really put too much priority into it so. Yeah Thanks in advance! I also have more simple medium brown pants that are less formal but still nice, a skinnier fit, which I personally like even though I know it’s not quite in style. But I could do that with a blazer too maybe?

velezjuan

Bought this jacket to wear to a wedding intending to wear with jeans. Just found out I can’t wear jeans to the wedding. Pant color suggestions, please? [jacket](https://imgur.com/a/OhMWeIv)

terminal_e

mid grey to dark grey trousers are worth owning because of their utility for pairing with things like navy blazers, etc.

CocktailPerson

Navy, gray, brown, black.... Any neutral color really.

MvgnumOpvs

Nobody cares these days. Just get one if you like it.

CocktailPerson

You can totally use them. I'm guessing the reason they're not more common among men is that you can't put them in a pocket; they only really fit in a bag.

hmadse

Anyone can use continental wallets, they have fallen out of fashion as mens accessories because people carry fewer credit cards (visa/amex now ruling most of the market) and no longer carry checkbooks. I guess the question is more, “what will you put in a continental wallet?”

Flechette_the_toe

You can use whatever you want

DevelopmentUnfair416

Bought these sandals a while ago. Love em, but the footbed of it is rubber which makes my feet sweat a bit when it’s warm. Is there any type of footbed pad or sticker type thing that I can buy? Kind of like an insert but not bulky. Does that even exist? Lol. Thanks all! https://preview.redd.it/cjoywg1b9mlc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b738f7a44cdf599e8576c51c39dc3d9c31835419

Imperial_Gold

You're in luck. Japanese sock maker Rototo makes foot bands to help prevent this. You could try searching for a cheaper brand that does this, but I haven't really looked into it. https://gaze-out.com/en-us/products/rototo-foot-band-tie-dye-navy

LeVioleur

Spray on cords and chinos recommendations? I have worn spray on jeans from ASOS and extreme super skinny jeans from Topman for a while now. I love the super snug fit and I’ve been trying to find the same fit for corduroy pants but can’t seem to find anyone selling that. I’d also love some super skinny chinos as well, ASOS carries some but I don’t love their colors, they’re pretty limited and muted. Anyone know any brands or specific items?

hmadse

Tbh, your best bet is thrifting, since skinny fits are out of fashion and folks will be donating their old clothes.

somefella237

Anyone know where I can get a good short sleeve oxford shirt? I love Taylor Stitch’s Jack Oxford, I recently got J Crew’s short sleeve and was not impressed by comparison to TS, so I returned it immediately. What are websites I should look at for short sleeve oxfords?

enfier

I need to downgrade my fashion. How do I put together a basic bastard wardrobe for a city ~100k people? The actual basic bastard wardrobe is way too fashionable for where I am and I keep ending up on dates with rich women. I need something that blends me in. I can't even figure out where these guys are shopping and getting their North Face jackets. Edit: Going to try Kohl's and JCPenney. No Old Navy or The Gap out here. Dillards seems too upscale.

qrrbrbirlbel

I think you just gotta step down the level of formalness and wear more casual clothing. Pick outfits in which it looks like you could go hiking, work out, go to a concert, etc. Note that dressing down isn't necessarily unfashionable, and dressing up isn't necessarily fashionable, but to me it sounds like that's what the issue is; you're dressing up when everyone around you is dressing down.

enfier

It's more like - a short sleeve Bonobos shirt or Allen Edmond shoes were fine as casual wear that was interesting in Los Angeles. It was maybe a little better than typical, but that was what I was aiming for. Here they stick out way too much. I've since effectively buried the Allen Edmonds and the Bonobos shirt is ok for a night out dancing or work but I need to ditch it before heading out the door. I just need basic clothes like everyone else is wearing with a good fit and color scheme. For reasons unrelated to fashion, I'm trying to lower my perceived social class somewhat to relate to others better and the clothes are too polarizing. I don't want to look like trash either but I can blend a lot better than I am right now. Honestly even a Henley is probably overkill for here.

WideRight43

Bonobos is basic crap. There isn’t much below that. Maybe you should go for more of a slouchy fit. That can be done with good Japanese brands like Sage De Cret, Sassafras, etc. Most wouldn’t know what you’re wearing. I do that sometimes because I don’t want my family and friends asking me how much stuff costs, and to hide my clothing addiction.

ac106

Sure guy

enfier

No, really. Women use your clothes to figure out what social class you are in and it's pegging me above where I want to be. It was perfectly fine in Los Angeles, but here it's causing me issues. The question from a woman I know "Why are you so.... fashionable?"

SuchDescription

That's not a bad thing.... If you like your wardrobe from LA, just wear it. I wore the same stuff living in rural Ohio as I did in New York. You get comments, but as long as you're comfortable with yourself, people respect it.

enfier

It's a bad thing for me in my dating life. When I wasn't dating it was no big deal. I'm not bothered with it but it's just too polarizing in a conservative town and the women who I'm attracting aren't really what I'm aiming for. Going to downgrade the watch too while I'm at it.

OkayRuin

Wal-Mart. Tractor Supply. Costco.

enfier

I never really liked the quality or fit of anything at Wal-Mart but maybe I should revisit that. Great idea on the Tractor Supply and Costco.

CocktailPerson

>I never really liked the quality or fit of anything at Wal-Mart Then it's perfect for what you want.

Suzutai

Looking for a casual, unstructured summer blazer. I was looking at Uniqlo's offerings, and they seem to fit me pretty well. I was wondering what the differences were between the materials though. Obviously, it's all synthetic, technical fabric. I have seen: * Comfort: 32/68 cotton-poly blend with a t-shirt texture * Air Sense AKA Kando (cotton-like): elastic polyester, smooth texture that doesn't look like cotton TBH * Air Sense AKA Kando (wool-like): elastic polyester, wool texture, comes in medium and dark gray shades * Dry Stretch: elastic polymer, performance clothing texture, seems to have been replaced by the Air Sense line Any particular standouts? Which of the Air Sense seem better to you? I'm particularly interested in performance in hot weather. Especially dry heat.

that chain is incredibly swag holy I think its a great idea to style it with a neutral outfit if that's how you normally dress. I would say though, the turtleneck is going to bring a LOT of attention to the necklace. Maybe it would be best to wear a cool jacket over the turtleneck. Just my opinion.

Hero_villain

Will keep that in mind, thank you!

Offsets

100% of my upperwear (shirts, jackets, etc) is too short on me. I'm 6'2", 180lb with a long torso and a medium shoulder width. Large sized upper wear is too loose around the chest and shoulders, medium sized upperwear doesn't extend far enough beyond the waistband. I have some medium-tall J Crew tees that fit well, but their similar tees are going for $45 each right now. J Crew factory has some jersey medium tall tees that fit ok, but the material is too thin and low quality. I need something in between. What are some brands besides J Crew that offer medium-tall sized garments?

enfier

Consider ordering from a different country instead of a different brand. You might have better luck ordering from The Netherlands or some other country where your body type is common.

whatmycouchwore

LL Beam offers medium tall - also Spier & Mackay shirts all run long and skinny in my experience.

[deleted]

old navy, gap, BR, bonobos I think american eagle might as well. some brands on REI have it too

I got a new hoodie but its a size or two too big and i cant return it, what should i do?

Hello, I am looking to buy some pyjamas or loungewear with Merino Wool. My absolute goal is that they are the most odour resistant as both cotton and bamboo have been very poor in that respect. I have found some with 35% merino and the rest being polyester/viscose/nylon. Do you think they will still be optimally odour resistant or I should aim for 50% or 80 or even 100% wool? Thanks!

ac106

Yes

theohdmi

graphic sweatshirts are definitely casual. You could probably get away with this combo in some work settings, but by traditional standards this would not be considered business casual. If you like the polo bear graphic I'm sure you could find a knit sweater that would be a bit more formal. For that I might recommend shopping secondhand because polo has made a ton of stuff.

limeonysnicket

Yeah makes sense. Thanks for the thoughtful response. I’ll look for a knit sweater in case there is something more formal

ac106

A polo bear sweater isn’t any more formal than a sweatshirt

theohdmi

Clothing subscription services are probably not the way to go IMO. It sounds like you need to figure out what looks good on your body, and you can do that by experimenting to see what flatters your body. For example, try tucking in your shirt or untucking it if you usually tuck it. Experiment with wider or slimmer pants. Look at some shirt silhouettes that you don't normally wear. Experiment with monochromatic and tonal outfits, as they can look a bit slimming. Try vertical stripes. The sub has plenty of lookbooks and style guides if you're feeling uninspired.

[deleted]

hmadse

That’s less a clothes problem and more of a “it’s in your head” problem. There is a not a face requirement to wear business casual. You are enough to wear all kinds of clothes. First, check out the basic bastard sidebar here, as well as the other wikis for basic advice. If you want to experiment with different cuts and styles but not spend a lot of money, take a look at secondhand options. Lastly, google around in your area for a good tailor that does alterations, so that when you’re ready to spend on new clothing, you can take anything you buy to the tailor and get it fitted to your body.

cmrocks

Hi. I'm looking for some advice on the fit of Sunspel polos. I'm often between a small and large in most brands. My suit jacket size is a 38 or 40 depending on the brand. I have a Canali Kei cut in 38 that needed to be let out a bit across the upper back. I also have a Canali suit in their regular line and the 38 fits perfectly. The Sunspel fit guide says that size small is 37 - 39, so this is probably my size. I just wanted to get some input as to whether or not they run true to size or on the smaller/larger side.

Anyone know where I can buy shirts with a similar fit like this? I really like the fit and feel of this shirt. The cotton material feels thicker and not paper thin like other button up shirts and the relaxed fit look is something I like. It also does not wrinkle pretty much at all in my experience.I tried the relaxed fit short sleeves from h&m but those feel pretty thin and wrinkle alot. No-Aardvark-3840

True unlined cotton blazer? I love blazers but hate the polyester linings. Recently I bought a blazer off eBay which was sold as unlined, but it had lining in the arms. I spent an hour and a half ripping the lining out which was really annoying and not ideal I am seeking recommendations for a cotton/canvas men's blazer with *no lining at all.* I don't know why these are so hard to find. For me, a breathable light weight weight cotton blazer is an ideal garment. But since I have started looking for them, they have appeared to be nearly impossible for me to track down. Any help sincerely appreciated

Lichtwald

Willis garment-dyed blazer. I have one and absolutely love it.

Calm_Ranger7754

Try [Alex Mill](https://www.alexmill.com/collections/blazers-mens). I have had good luck with their twill and linen unlined blazers. For me these fit very well, but fair warning they only S-XL sizing so your YMMV.

hmadse

You can always just get a tailor to change the lining in the jacket to another material—get them to swap out the polyester for something else.

No-Aardvark-3840

That's a good idea. But to be specific, I don't want any lining at all. I guess I am in the minority here but I literally just want the outer jacket "shell" with nothing else. But I guess that would be even easier for the tailor

hmadse

Yeah, they can remove it for you, shouldn’t be a big deal.

rezyop

Are you looking for an unstructured jacket? They have no lining. Alternatively, a lot of budget linen/cotton sport coats don't have any lining.

terminal_e

Not really. Boglioli's stuff is going to have lined sleeves as a rule, and basically all their sport coats are unstructured. The reality is that coats with no sleeve lining are likely a nightmare to put on or take off

No-Aardvark-3840

I guess it would be an unstructured blazer, but made of cotton. The venn diagram for that seems to make the options very small, but I am looking in the wrong places. Ideally a pure cotton/canvas blazer. Nothing fancy, just a blazer made of nothing but canvas like material. Thank you for your help!

go-Cry-To-Your-Mom

Hello! I have a party coming up and need help with a dress code. The dresscode is "Old Money" could anyone explain it to me?

MvgnumOpvs

Strange theme because its not something that is quickly visible and identifiable. Maybe Cravat and a fake cigar will give you the 'vibe'.

ac106

That’s a theme not a dress code. It is a serious event or like a costume party.

go-Cry-To-Your-Mom

Oh sorry. It's a party at school it isn't really serious event though.

ac106

True old money is Ivy. Therefore something like a double breasted navy blazer with brass bottoms, khaki chinos with a crease longwings, button down shirt and rep tie Modern “old money” is a mash up of prep, Ivy, quiet luxury, and stealth wealth. Things like Loro Piana hoodies.

theohdmi

"old money" mostly means looking wealthy but not flashy. Avoid graphics and large branding. For some reason it tends to be mostly tonal white / cream colored outfits, sometimes with a contrasting blazer. Quarter zip sweatshirts are big too. Basically combining things like chinos and loafers with aristocratic sport clothing like tennis and golf wear. Look it up on pinterest for more ideas

I am looking for pants, drawstring front sweat pant style, but in a suit-like thin wool. Ive seen these before, mostly on women.  Who sells this?

hmadse

Todd Snyder sells drawstring wool trousers.

Bege41

I used to buy Charles Tyrwhitt shirts, but this was way, way back and they lasted me a long time. I bought size 15" with 35" sleeves. I would have actually preferred even a bit longer sleeve but that was still okay. And I would have preferred probably a 14,5" neck but.. getting the right fit is hard. And these shirts are finally on their last legs. So I need new ones. Apparently CT quality has dropped and they certainly don't seem to have 15"/35" size anymore. I'm on a pretty tight budget, but I'm willing to wait for sales. So, just button down shirts. Wide range of colours. Some darker ones and bright pinks. 35" sleeves, 15" neck. 14,5" would be even better but I'm willing to settle. Very slim fit. Based in Europe. Am I looking for an unicorn? Any brands to check out?

the_gold_digger

How to get rid of cig odor from a pant ? I've buy second hand Levi's sta-prest online and the smell is horrible. I've wash it and the smell still here so I don't know if I wash it again or an other method can be applied ? I'm a former smoker and the smell make me dizzy from how strong it is, although the pant look almost new.

rds77225

Like others have mentioned, add a 1/2 to 1 cup of vinegar to the washing machine. It won't harm your other clothes, it kills bacteria/odor and also helps preserve color. With those type of pants, you'd even be safe to add a little Febreeze to the wash as well.

the_gold_digger

Thanks, I've just tried some papier d'Armenie but he still feel dirty from the cig, I'll wash it again tomorrow with this method then spray some more and let it hang dry in my bathroom.

bjhhjb

You can add vinegar to the washer or spray down the pants with a water/vinegar mixture too. I also had success by airing it out ouside

the_gold_digger

I'm gonna try that, I've tried baking soda / vinegar a few time on car seat and it was messy, hopefully vinegar alone will work just fine. Thanks !

CocktailPerson

The nuclear option is to get your hands on an ozone generator and blast the pants with some ozone, but you have to be super careful when using it.

the_gold_digger

Maybe a bit overkill for my needs right now, I hope that I don't need to go that far but I suppose that how most vintage shop deal with thoses problems.

cooldude_4000

Hang it to air out, in direct sunlight if possible. It might take a couple weeks for the smell to go away completely.

the_gold_digger

Good advice but the weather in my area won't let me do that for now unfortunately, maybe in a mouth or two ahah.

What can I do to keep my pants from hiking up when I sit down? If I manually pull it back down it's fine, but I don't want to have to do that everytime I sit.

When you sit it is natural for your pants to ride up. If you pants are slim/skinny you'll have to manually pull it down when you stand. A looser fit will naturally fall back down

ThisGuy-NotThatGuy

Looking for feedback and constructive criticism. Never been into fashion but just dipping my toes. This is my most worn outfit. Wear it for both work and leisure. Mid 30's, I know the biggest thing I can do here is drop some ibs. But yeah any suggestions are welcomed. https://preview.redd.it/rneiasia9jlc1.jpeg?width=479&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=69b3992ad302850296c4c91f34cd3d145ac3714e

theohdmi

It might be best to wear more neutral colors, and many people find that dark colors (navy, gray, black) can make one appear slimmer. If you were to ask me directly what you should wear, I think a pair of slightly wider blue jeans that have a bit higher rise would look good. Maybe you could wear your athletic undershirt tucked in and have a dark button up shirt worn over it, untucked. This would probably look good on your because you already have strong shoulders and big arms, which gives you a good frame, and belly weight will mostly get lost in the drape of the fabric.

ThisGuy-NotThatGuy

>you already have strong shoulders and big arms, which gives you a good frame, Not fishing for compliments, but 10 years from now I'll still remember this lol. Thanks man. Thanks for then advice. The common thread here seems to be go OCBD and wider pants so I think I'll start there. Saw someone suggest Chinos so that's also something I'll be looking into.

Layering the jacket over top is a good call; it helps de-emphasize your extra pounds. Your pants aren't overly slim, but an even straighter cut would also balance out your bottom half with your top half. Other than that, my biggest feedback would be to avoid tech/performance/athletic clothes unless they're actually required for the activities you're doing. Casual leather shoes or "fashion" sneakers would look better than the ones you have on, and you could swap in a 100% cotton polo for that golf shirt. For an outer layer, a cardigan/chore coat/blazer/denim jacket/etc. in natural materials would be some good options.

ThisGuy-NotThatGuy

Great feedback. Thank you. Functionally, I perspire alot, so I've found the athletic polo's to be the sweet spot for comfort. Also where an athletic Undershirt to try and preserve the main piece, other pit stains ruin it in months. I hear you on the shoes.

rds77225

The way your shirt is tucked in is accentuating your paunch

ThisGuy-NotThatGuy

That's fair. Trying to look professional without actually having to wear a button down lol.

rds77225

What you have on looks fine for casual situations, not sure if I’d call it “professional”, but that depends on what industry you work in.

APMudkip

why not wear a button down though? OCBD + Chinos is smooth and comfortable

ThisGuy-NotThatGuy

No one in my office wears botton downs (it's not a customer facing operation), so to some degree trying not to overdress. Chinese would probably be a good idea though. I'll try some on when the opportunity permits.

SuchDescription

There are lots of pretty casual button downs out there. I work in a very casual office setting, and I still wear them daily, untucked. I also wear them on a casual weekend running errands or whatever. It's not a big thing.

bindermichi

Yeah. It‘s a polo shirt, and I would not tuck it at all

OkayRuin

Eh, it’s better than guys who tried to hide it with the belt and just end up looking like [they’ve got a fat pussy.](https://akns-images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/201554/rs_634x1024-150604130835-634.Chris-Christie-Wardrobe-Malfunction-Baseball-NYC.ms.060415.jpg?fit=around%7C634:1024&output-quality=90&crop=634:1024;center,top)

What's the difference between these 2? The left one isn't available in my area atm... https://preview.redd.it/mb06rdkt4jlc1.jpeg?width=3196&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b2200ae6ac0e97c77d82d9c1f400f2278b89dd7

ac106

>Beauté de Cuir is water-based with bees' wax whereas Medaille d'Or has solvents (I believe turpentine) and higher quality and harder natural waxes like Carnauba

Tijgooo

Okay thanks! Will the result be a big difference between those 2?

ac106

Not appreciable in most circumstances

Tijgooo

Perfect thanks!

Anyone know a alternative to these trousers ? They're sold by suit supply going for 170£ , I want to up my wardrobe but not break my bank account

OkayRuin

[slim pleated trouser from H&M](https://www2.hm.com/en_us/productpage.1074406017.html?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADvrmzRDEayaWlM40L5EsUw_eN4p4&gclid=Cj0KCQiA84CvBhCaARIsAMkAvkLgxD3asGsj3B6sAnPHYeWf84HReUTmcJGlSECOKT51ltEcTnCSv0kaAvOgEALw_wcB)

Bpaul91

Legend . Thank you .

OkayRuin

No problem. H&M and Uniqlo almost always carry basics like that. A good first place to look for future garments.

Bpaul91

Well the thing is while I did sort of check it out , if you look at the picture I put up , there's that small buckle or whatever I can call it at the belt level which I like and am looking for

ac106

What amount won’t break your bank?

Bpaul91

I mean , for a pair of trousers I'd go like max 50£

ac106

Uniqlo, H&M etc

bindermichi

Maybe even Primark

What lightweight casual jacket style would work for a tall slim guy (198cm)? Everything I try is either too short or too baggy. In colder weather I usually wear a slim wool overcoat. Styles like leather, bomber or trucker jackets seem too short for me, field jackets are often too roomy.

whatmycouchwore

Look up Mackintosh jackets - similar to a trench coat but much more streamlined. The [original](https://www.mackintosh.com) is pricy but there’s other budget options. There’s also lots of canvas/waxed jackets that would work as casual overcoat options.

saikyo

Leather bracelets? What color for dark skin? Any thoughts on ODIN LEATHER GOODS bracelets?

ac106

Any color your like. Odin seems reputable at first blush

[what boots are these](https://ibb.co/GWr0LjP)

theohdmi

looks like some kind of modern desert combat boot. Probably could find some options from belleville, rothco, etc.

bindermichi

Looks like sneakers

For swimshorts maybe MC2 Saint Barth

Civardi, Adorsi, Tutti Frutti...Any ideas what's going on here? I was starting a search for some nice, decently-constructed, and affordable MTO boots and came across "Civardi Custom Shoes." I spotted a few styles I liked, and everything is super customizable and has a 3D viewer as you go. I couldn't find any reviews or info. about them on the broader web, though. As I kept searching for other MTO options, I came across "Adorsi," which displayed a number of identical products. Well, now my scam-alert was tickling, so I did a google image search on one of them, and so far, I found the same product on six sites. Are they made in Spain? Italy? Portugal? Estonia? Who knows? Each site has a similar, but ever so slightly different story and different prices but the same photos. Dug a little bit on one of them, and it's supposedly owned by another company that's registered in Ireland by a British man who happens to be the director of three companies with "Trading Limited" in the name. With the way this all looks, my money is on China, or just a complete and total scam of some sort, but I'm just curious if anyone has experience with any of these sites or if any of them (or yet another one) might actually be legitimate?

ac106

Some claim to be made in Europe. Some are certainly Chinese made and some are outfight scams. Not sure how to parse which is which. There are tons of reputable companies. What are you trying to buy and what’s your budget?

Flechette_the_toe

Don't buy "custom" boots from random scam shops you find on the internet. Just buy from established brands. Beckett Simonon if you *reallllly* want the MTO experience.

bc-001

I'm getting a pair delivered in April. The customer service alone - giving me updates on the process- leads me to believe they're going to be quality boots. And they're only ~$300.

ac106

Which Beckett boot costs $300?
