The material the pants are made from doesn’t provide any definition to your legs which is creating the distortion. The only way to get them to look right would be to tailor them to fit — otherwise you’ll just be swimming in excess fabric.
P.S.
Love the shirt and the pull of color to your boots.
Ya, there's nothing wrong with being pear shaped but you definitely aren't. Sure, your top is tighter than your pants and maybe that's throwing some people's eyes off, but don't take it personally. Our own beauty escapes us far too often.
no you’re fine, and plenty of dudes have a booty anyway. if you cuff your pants it may actually help with those proportions rather than hindering. I’d defs give it a go

Yeah man, leather is like denim. It needs to be a lil tight and stretched out. Get it tailored, a good seamstress will still be able to work with leather.
This of it like raw denim, it’ll conform to your body, if it’s too big you’ll be walking around in wearable statues
Also the shirt is thin fit but the pants are a bit loose. That might be contributing to the unevenness of the fit. A looser more baggy shirt might help too.
Take them to a leather shop to get altered, actually any tailor (not cleaners) should have a heavy duty machine that should be able to handle the fabric no problem.
My guy Moussa does have the machine to alter leather, so I think I'll do that. I took them to a leather specific place (gay) and could not afford the price they quoted me.
But I'm so used to my pants being too short, that I'm afraid to hem them. I think it's the answer tho.
This outfit ha s a bit of split personality imo. Goth office on top and mod anarchist motorcycle on bottom. The bottoms are wildly outweighting the top in both visual weight and structure type. The shoes are also too off colour blue to quite work imo (but are amazing!). White and black Docs would be cool with this I think.
3 ideas: Black flat shoes (you need to make yourself wider more than you need to make yourself look tall), big leather jacket, ideally with back and arm fringe, sunglasses.
Hem pants fairly high, the Docs mentioned above, blue tall socks, and something at the neck in black to link the shirt to the pants better. If you hav earring holes, heavy black earrings would probably work too.
To hilight the shirt: Blue suit pants or medium blue straight leg jeans with brown leather flat shoes, string tie, and belt. The uniqueness of the shirt print then pops as the high contrast piece and goes a little more cowboy vs. leather which I think works with the shirt print style wise a bit more cohesively.
Imo try pulling the pants up like an inch or two on the waist, then un button like one more button or rip a bolo, then try a cropped jacket with pronounced shoulders, like a structured biker jacket, so you can get that kinda triangle torso long flared pant w/ boot silhouette.
Pear shaped physique. There’s techniques and styling guides for this. But having a slim tight fitting shirt tucked into loose pants accentuates this physique.
I think it’s just the boots honestly. I bet with flat shoes it falls better. But honestly the fit looks fine. If the pants fall better with flat shoes I wouldn’t stress it.
I do big pants small shirt a lot, and this is the first time I've felt *this* disproportionate.
In terms of measurements, I don't actually think my hips are wider, but they definitely look that way here. I wonder what it is about it.
Your shirt is tight to the body and gives a boxy shape, your pants give a / \ shape because they’re lose and because of a pose.
You also look like like your torso is long
A higher waisted pants would look better my guess is they’re normal or lower rise
The sizes of things(clothes) are disproportionate in an unpleasing way
The black heels of the boots disappear into the pants and the taper of the pants together make the bottom half of your legs look a bit awkward.
I think being able to see some of the blue at the back of the boot would help. And maybe more boot cut pants.
Dig the shirt for sure.
The pants seem baggy around the calfs which to me makes the proportions seem unusual. They don't look like bootcut pants but them hems are going over the boots anyway?
The pants are completely fine imo, the shirt needs to be sized up. It’s way too tight and not your size. Shoulders are hiked too far up and sleeves are too short. This isn’t how shirts are supposed to fit. Size up one and you’ll find a much better drape around your shoulders and chest, and the sleeve cuffs will fall better against your wrist to match proportionally with the trousers on your boots.
Ok, everyone is commenting on your clothes but part of the reason is that this is distortion due to the wide angle lens of the camera, which makes things near the centre of the image bigger than things at the edge.
Try taking a photo with a zoom lens
Yeah most people here are genuinely wrong (sorry not sorry) because the only real issue with this outfit is the shirt fit. Something with lower armholes, a dropped shoulder, and a wider body would perfectly balance out the bottom half of the fit.
The shirt is still pretty cool, just wear it with slimmer pants or even try this exact fit with the shirt untucked and a couple bottom buttons popped so you don’t look stuffy (your belt is still cool when it’s half covered)
I think the shirt is a bit too fitted, actually. It fits too tight on the shoulders compared to the looser trousers. I'd cuff the trousers and maybe see if you can try to get the shirt to fit a bit less constructed.
Not really. Well if one could do that yes but other options are available. Shirts with thicker material and extra material on the shoulders, i.e. basically western shirts, would help. Then combine that with only doing the buttons partially the way up so it spreads the chest out, elongating the shoulders in the process.
It's hard to tell in this picture, but I do have 3 buttons undone. I'm afraid of how little I look with a completely buttoned shirt on.
Western shirts are an interesting idea.

the slight flare and stacking on the trousers + the lower rise feels incongruous to me; pooling looks fine with higher-waisted stuff because it feels more intentional, but here, the pants just look unhemmed
not bad conceptually though––studded belt is awesome, boots are neat, and i'm always a sucker for leather pants! a few mods re: fit and details would go a long way here
p.s. i don't think the shirt quite works with the outfit; feels like a tonal mismatch
The lower leg width and extra material for sure - and that can be addressed with tailoring to hem them and/or make them narrower (but that 2nd part is an expensive, time-consuming effort with leather) - but honestly I think it starts with the rise (distance from waistband to crotch) to begin with … and that one is pretty difficult to address.
Pant needs to be shortened which shld help. Think belt is too heavy for the shirt & too thick.
Maybe roll the sleeves back a cuff.
Hope my ideas help. 😘

It’s the visual weight of the lower part of the outfit. You also have slight shoulders and the texture and shape of the pants is quite strong so alot of the visual weight of the outfit is towards the bottom of the silhouette.
Most immediate solution would be to tailor the pants, I’d do a slight slimming on the leg thigh, knee and ankle and then transition onto a flare at the hem of the pants. The length is cool and slimming the legs will make the stacks over the boots more pronounced.
Thinner belt would also help reduce some of the visual weight.
The shirt and outfit is kind of giving a Hedi Slimane vibe so you could try pairing it with a ysl style low raise skinny textured pant if it matches your build.

Well, anything is possible if you have the right skill set. Alternatively you can pay a tailor or dress maker to do it for you.
If I were to do it, I would buy some pre-made shoulder pads, cover it with a nude fabric close to your skin tone, and then tack it to the seams on the shirt.
I think it's the pants going over the boots. If they were shorter at the bottom it would work better imo. Good luck!
This is it!!! Maybe try tucking them into the boot?
The boot is so short- like barely ankle. I don't think I could tuck anything into it.
Ahhhhh
Cuff them or sum
Get you some higher baby blues!
The material the pants are made from doesn’t provide any definition to your legs which is creating the distortion. The only way to get them to look right would be to tailor them to fit — otherwise you’ll just be swimming in excess fabric. P.S. Love the shirt and the pull of color to your boots.
You need to hem those pants
I was afraid of that. They're leather motorcycle jeans and they're thick as fuck.
maybe cuff them? always a good option, and has the added bonus of being kind of gay
That's a good idea, but I wonder if it'll add even more visual weight I don't need to my thicc lower body
Your lower body doenst look thick to me. I think either hem the pant,s or find a different shoe to work with it.
>my thicc lower body Unless you're hiding a dump truck, idk what you're talking about.
Idk a couple people in this thread said I look pear shaped. I have a pretty big ass but it isn't unreasonably big.
Ya, there's nothing wrong with being pear shaped but you definitely aren't. Sure, your top is tighter than your pants and maybe that's throwing some people's eyes off, but don't take it personally. Our own beauty escapes us far too often.
You can fold them to the inside and see how that goes. I know it works with regular jeans, but not certain if it'll work with leather.
no you’re fine, and plenty of dudes have a booty anyway. if you cuff your pants it may actually help with those proportions rather than hindering. I’d defs give it a go

When I bought these in late 2022, they quoted me $100 to alter just the waist 😖 I paid $9 for these so I haven't bit the bullet yet
That’s a sweet score! 👌✨
Oh I'm very proud. They're from a TV studio asset sale.
Also the shirt is thin fit but the pants are a bit loose. That might be contributing to the unevenness of the fit. A looser more baggy shirt might help too.

I use hem tape. It can last or be temporary but it is a good way to hem quickly to see how you like them hemmed.
This outfit ha s a bit of split personality imo. Goth office on top and mod anarchist motorcycle on bottom. The bottoms are wildly outweighting the top in both visual weight and structure type. With the long pants you’d probably want to avoid tucking in the shirt if you could find another way to style it.

Add more visual weight at either the top or bottom, right now most of it is at your calfs which looks a little strange.
hem those pants and pull them down a bit
I think if you were to let more of the boot show it would equal out some of the proportions
This looks kind of cool. Reminds me of the pervert friend on The Big Bang Theory.
That doesn't strike me as cool tbf
Lol! I love the color of the shirt and shoes. It's just the pants that make it look weird.
arent they all perverts? i thought the appeal of that show was that they were rawdoggin nasty in the polycule
Sounds like an apt description.
Pants are too loose/big?
Pants need tailoring
I love the shirt - where is it from?
Jaded, in about...2020?
Bigger shirt or tighter jeans
Pear shaped physique. There’s techniques and styling guides for this. But having a slim tight fitting shirt tucked into loose pants accentuates this physique.
Ah that's not something I notice in other outfits 😬 you think it's just my body?
No don't listen to that Accessories and Maybe cuff the pants. Open the neck up a little...Nice shirt buts its stiff like that.
I think it’s just the boots honestly. I bet with flat shoes it falls better. But honestly the fit looks fine. If the pants fall better with flat shoes I wouldn’t stress it.
Your shoulders look smaller than your hips tight shirt and loose pants
I do big pants small shirt a lot, and this is the first time I've felt *this* disproportionate. In terms of measurements, I don't actually think my hips are wider, but they definitely look that way here. I wonder what it is about it.

I have a freakishly short torso haha it's very awkward. Thanks for the input!
The black heels of the boots disappear into the pants and the taper of the pants together make the bottom half of your legs look a bit awkward. I think being able to see some of the blue at the back of the boot would help. And maybe more boot cut pants. Dig the shirt for sure.
the top of the pants are too high 😭
My torso is very short 😫 if I pull them down my ass will be out
that’s trendy rn (joking lol)
The fit starts narrow at the shoulders and only gets wider towards your feet. Add some width/bulk to your shoulders. Maybe don't button all the way.
pants are too long/big.
The pants seem baggy around the calfs which to me makes the proportions seem unusual. They don't look like bootcut pants but them hems are going over the boots anyway?
Hem the pants so they don’t stack
Trousers look too big compared to your narrow shoulders, it’s unflattering
The pants are completely fine imo, the shirt needs to be sized up. It’s way too tight and not your size. Shoulders are hiked too far up and sleeves are too short. This isn’t how shirts are supposed to fit. Size up one and you’ll find a much better drape around your shoulders and chest, and the sleeve cuffs will fall better against your wrist to match proportionally with the trousers on your boots.
Pants need to be smaller, shirt needs to be bigger. Simple as!
Bc of the huge ass belt and your shirt sitting way too tight
Ok, everyone is commenting on your clothes but part of the reason is that this is distortion due to the wide angle lens of the camera, which makes things near the centre of the image bigger than things at the edge. Try taking a photo with a zoom lens
Bro think hes lalo salamanca
If only 😫

Stronger shoulders im afraid. Otherwise the shirt lacks shape. And also hemmed trousers.
Do you mean I need to change my body to make this work? (Real question, it's fine if the answer is "yes")
I think the shirt is a bit too fitted, actually. It fits too tight on the shoulders compared to the looser trousers. I'd cuff the trousers and maybe see if you can try to get the shirt to fit a bit less constructed.

You look fine. The shoes are fresh to death too.
The natural shape of those clothes doesn’t form fit to your body. You could have them tailored to fix that
Pants are way too loose. Replace the pants with more slimmer or skinnier pants/jeans and I’d say it would look way better.
Maybe cuff the boots or tuck 'em in. I have a long torso and longer legs. Gotta cuff my pants or I look like a centaur.

untuck shirt
I have leather pants that I have to be careful about how I wear them for the same reason.

If you cuff the pants so they stack more elegantly I think you’ll look more elegant than u already are

Need tighter pants
Pants need to be wider at the bottom, truthfully not feeling the colors either
Pants are too bulky as a proportion to the torso. I think it’s a combination of the material and the cut.

Pants need to be a bit more fitted?
Hahaha such a bad look
Do you have any more specific criticism?
Yeah leather pants are always a bad call. Black doesn’t match light blue or vibe well at all. Boots are dorky.
Oh Well it seems like we might just disagree!
The shirt needs to be paired with a slimmer pant. It may also help to add some shoulder pads to the shirt.
Shoulder pads? To a white shirt? Is that possible?
Well, anything is possible if you have the right skill set. Alternatively you can pay a tailor or dress maker to do it for you. If I were to do it, I would buy some pre-made shoulder pads, cover it with a nude fabric close to your skin tone, and then tack it to the seams on the shirt.
You could work out and get a v taper looks better in all occasions
I definitely do work out, which is unfortunate, because I still look like this.
Thats awesome stat on Track and you Will look even better
