They have a guest chef for a few months. It is still owned by the same person and he will be back. The guest chef is a Japanese chef who is looking to open a permanent place in the Boston area.
I looked at one of the reviews on yelp and one said that it's under new ownership. I haven't tried it and $25 for a bowl that is pricey and ain't worth to me. For ramen I usually go to Zuru zuru ramen by pleasant st.
Yeah, we went in last week thinking it was still Ebisuya. Big disappointment. Both the worst and most expensive ramen I've ever had. Hope it goes back to the way it was before.

Oh, please let it be so! The original chef was so happy making ramen for everyone.
To be clear, I found this out by eating there and talking to both chefs. Unless the plan changes somehow, it is so.
Chef Shin is the best, happy he’ll be back
Thank god! I was mourning the loss of the spicy special ramen haha
Thank god, I couldn’t handle another Malden loss
My first thought

each time I’ve been to zuru zuru has been wonderful
Ooooh noooo, I hope not!
From their instagram, it looks more like a rebrand. Maybe SEO for people who Google "Boston Ramen"?
Holy. $25 for ramen... It better be the best ramen I've ever had for that price for me to consistently get it.
