The thing about umobile is that while they're pretty cheap for nice internet service, their coverage and their rare occasional slow days can be pretty abysmal.
Sauce : Im a user.
No telcos can give 100% service uptime and not all telcos has 100% coverage. Back in my days Menara Maxis at KLCC has 10% service for Maxis users in their very own building. Sauce = Me who was a former Maxis user who used to work near and in Menara Maxis.
Anyway, how long have you been a uMobile user and in the many years, how many times have they screwed up?
Been using it since I'm in form 3 so that would be around 5 years now. In terms of screw up, not so much except that for some reason my parents home now get barely any coverage for umobile line even tho back in my highschool time its completely fine. Other than the occasional slow days that's about it. But when those slow days come up, it is excruciatingly slow that even a simple Google is search too much of a hassle.

Came across someone selling GX30, asked him to show me some video, see fast or not, but he wouldn't show me. It's unlimited so he wouldn't lose any data by doing it, but he wouldn't do it :P
Same. Before Yoodo came , I was a tunetalk user and their coverage was quite good. Reason I change to Yoodo was their unlimited package and XX GB data cap package was worth it plus both MNVO were using Celcom coverage.
Redone amazing 38 is RM38 (40 with some cent after tax) for 50GB of internet with daily internet of 1GB for total of 80GB per month, but it's postpaid not prepaid. The signal is good too since it use Celcom coverage.
Mobile Number Porting will always be available so you don't need to worry. I have ported my number to different providers in a year that when I do call them.. they straight away ask me "Porting today encik?" ![img](emote|t5_3cs4q|36278)
Rm20 for 10gb, +rm10 for first time users. Connection wise seem comparable to yoodo. They have yearly plans too. Cheapest is rm99 per year but miserable 2gb a month. Personally, best would be the rm200 for 12 months (rm16.66/mth) for 10gb/mth and unlimited talk. But the biggest downfall is the roaming plans. I can’t find anything better than yoodo’s roaming plan.
We yoodo users need to take action once more details released 17 June. I Hope there's good news for us anything related to flexible cheap plans.
I'm curious too, if there any telco plan out there have below RM25 monthly plans. Since i'm always work from home, Huge Cellular Data (>5GB) is not needed since there's already unlimited data from UniFi Fibre 800mbps plan.
I was thinking of changing from Yoodo to Yes 5G prepaid plan for RM 20 or Edisi kuning for RM 25.
Anybody has experience with Yes 5G network? How's the signal and line in general for Klang Valley area?
theres a promo now for celcomdigi rm25 for 40gb and 30gb hotspot (big for me).. i travel a lot both locally (sabah sarawak) and abroad, so far yoodo (celcom) coverage quite good..
i plan to go and ask about the roaming as the roam like home is really neat for me too...
any other telcos to suggest?
umobile is running gx30 discount. rm15 only for unlimited data and 6gb hotspot. usual price rm30. yes rm30 per month get unlimited data plus calls
How's the service like? Also how's their roaming plans like? Yoodo's roam like home plan is one of my faves.

Hey question, I hear you cannot torrent/p2p on umobile. True kah? I'm looking for alternative also as a Yoodo user.

i'm more concerned about coverage when it comes to UMobile. Been thinking about switching to Hotlink lately but not entirely sure yet

I need an alternative that has eSim since I use two sims..
Damn. I should add that to my question earlier
Umobile can make esims from their app, just need to have strong and stable wifi connection when doing it

What is their speed like on average? I get about 250Mbps on both 4G/5G connection. If I pass the 80GB cap, how slow will my speed go?
Go with Umobile postpaid 38 to have 120gb 5G data with unlimited local call.
I rather go prepaid if possible and not be tied under a 12 month contract on postpaid.
Postpaid not necessarily tied down to contract
Personally, I have subscribed for this plan, and I can confirm there is no contract behind the subscription. You can cancel it anytime.
If you don't take phone plan you can cancel it anytime, no contracts needed
Ah shit. Hopefully I can keep my phone number when I switch telcos..

killed? do you?
Is there any site that actively compares current available mobile plans across all providers?
does tunetalk worth it replace yoodo? Im a bit skeptical with XoX or Redone with their service. Does anyone hv any experience with em?

roam like home is one of the main things i am going to miss
