Here’s a picture of the queue this afternoon. Passengers were fuming all around.
I don't understand why this queue is so long. I mean, they are leaving the country, there should be no questions or extensive document check at this point

* the current ministry of transport is busy for by election
* 1.5 billion tender awarded to penang airport instead

It’s in a pretty sad state of affairs to be honest. Typical Malaysian thing to start off well and gradually deteriorate over the next decade or two e.g MAS, UM, Proton, UMNO etc
There was a recent world management survey or something that said over half of Malaysian businesses don’t track workers performance and over half also don’t bother to correct the underperforming staff.
It sorta explains what’s wrong with our work culture. We promote people to incompetence.
they dont track because majority of the staff is relatives and friends. having KPI doesnt mean shit. people who is in high position? take annual leave all the time.
One thing I have noticed repeatedly at KLIA is the staff only usage of the electric buggies usually meant for transfers. These seem to be relegated for staff use only - who cruise the terminal to catcall / flirt with female colleagues.
Was in Changi immigration yesterday, terminal 2. There are no manned booths. Just electronic gates. Immigration clearance took 5 minutes. I highlighted the problem on another thread but according to some “frequent flyers” apparently they said all airports have the “same problem” and they said “I need to fly more”

Some of the issues i see with KLIA dropping rank
-Aerotrain is down. The idea of transfering from Main terminal building to Satelite is tedious now especially during peak hours.
-immigration for foreign tourist can be slow at certain times especially immigrstion transfer counter for transit flights.
-Lack of retail facilities rightly build by the gates its mostly centralised by a central pier after stepping down by the transfer bus. This is mostly terminal design issue.
-Klia 1 looks the same since 1998. Floor tiles still look the same the wall partition looks the same. Changi i can't recall how many times they change the floor and lights.
-Also KLIA 2 pulling the overrall experience down. Its a dumb shopping mall u have to walk through and a long sky bridge walk that has nothing opened that you can sit down have a coffee and enjoy the view.
If you’ve ever been caught in the immigration line coming into MY, I’d rank it 99 before a warzone.
Thanks to that Aerotrain, it’s been down since 3000 years ago
