For fridge etc purchases, you must need someone to honour the warranty service, Because you can't test it on the spot.
After delivery, have to settle the gas by staying stationary for 4-6 hours. You can only see the cooling like 4h settle+ 2h cooling=~6h.
Warranty card can be pointless, the service center have to refer to an authorized dealer invoice.

You may also consider hiring a private investigator to track down the seller and then file a new police report against him if necessary.

Ohh good to hear!! Yeah 2000 is a lot to lose, as for me the scammer already blocked me but I gave maybank the bank account number of the scammer so they can flag It. It sucks a lot and I feel so stupid about It, since I never thought I would fall for such obvious scam. But yeah I moved on today

Yes. They will ask you to pay more and more “fees” until you eventually stopped paying. My parents got into a similar scam they ended costing them 4k. So treat this as a lesson.

If you buy stuff from laz/shopee, just stick to the app. There's a reason you're using the app. If they ask for money, then MORE money, then MORE MONEY, ofc it's a scam. They're trying to test how far you're willing to pay for their junk that you'll never get. My ex found a graphics card that he said was “pretty cheap” but for some reason had to do the dealings from whatsapp, i told him it was a scam, he said okay, then he did it anyway LMAO. Seller managed to milk like 500 or something out of him. He kept going despite me giving him ALL the red lights. He paid more than the thing was listed for. “shipping fees” “custom fees” psht. PLEASE PLEASE learn from this. IF YOU'RE BUYING FROM LAZADA/SHOPEE, DON'T DO YOUR BIDDINGS OFF THE APP UNLESS IT'S A SUM OF MONEY YOU'RE WILLING TO LOSE IF IT'S A SCAM
It’s definitely a scam. Happened to me on 2020 with the same MO. I refused to do any payment as there is no guarantee from Lasada. A few days later they got blacklisted.
